It just sits there waiting for you to place a 'pod' in and makes a great cup of coffee! It makes very small cups of coffee though, half a mug to be precise but they can be used twice to fill the mug and the coffee is still strong enough for my taste. It is available in three choices of colour (black, white or blue.) Mine's a black one. It was an early Christmas present so I didn't have to shop around for the best price but I believe that they were on offer at Tesco at a very reasonable price with free delivery compared to the Tassimo site where they are £99.99. Who would have thunk that my new gadget the Braun "Tassimo" could replace my kettle, teabags and assortment of instant coffees. Yet this is precisely what the Tassimo has done. Now the Tassimo is undoubtedly a smart piece of kit. My sleek black machine nestles comfortably in the corner of our teeny tiny kitchen and takes up surprisingly little space. ...I recieved my Tassimo as a present.(Which i asked for.) Its retail price is 100 pounds. However if you look around you can manage to get it cheaper. The person that bought me the Tassimo managed to get it on Amazon with free delivery for 75 pounds. Also, when you register your Tassimo online you recieve free 'T-disks'. Yes, 'T-disks'. This is what the machine takes. The T-disk is a small round plastic disk with the chosen drink mixture inside. For example the tea T-disk contains fresh tea leaves. The hot water enters the disk and out comes nice hot tea. ...I love my Tassimo! OK, I must confess I am addicted to hot chocolate! I have been looking for a hot chocolate machine for a long time and then along came Tassimo. For £99 (now around £79) i thought it was a little pricey but I decided to go for it anyway. I got my machine from Argos, after opening the box there is a minimum of setup required - remove the protective cardboard, put the water container on the back, run through some water to clean the machine before the first use. There is a 'quick start' booklet leads you through this and it takes about 5 minutes. You now have a very nice coffee machine on the kitchen counter! My machine came with a selection of T-Discs to start with (I'm not sure if they are still doing this). T-Discs are the 'cartridges' that contain the drink. They include coffee or tea granules... ...The Tassimo is a easy to use system which sits comfortably in any kitchen area. The system can be easily be turned off by a switch to the rear saving the need to unplug the device each time after use and therefore saving that all important electric bill. Once on this system takes all of a few seconds to heat up the water needed. The lights to the right hand side as you look at it light up whilst heating once heated the lights advise you of this fact. To begin the heating system a Tassimo disk needs to be placed in the system. This is placed to the top. Once inserted the barcode reader in each system reads the barcode placed on each individual disc and produces that drink. If the water to the rear runs out during making a drink the lights to the side all light up and the machine comes to a hault until the reservour is refilled... Read review

...I've recently consigned my old leaky expresso machine to the attic and bought a silver Braun Tassimo machine. It's a bit like a smaller, funkier vending machine that you see in cool offices. It uses a T-disc system, which basically are plastic pods containing hot chocolate tea and various coffees. The drinks brands that go into the T discs include Suchards Hot Chocolate, Twinings Tea and Kenco coffee. Here's the science! The discs have barcodes which tell the machine how to brew the drinks. These slot into the machine and hot water pumps through in a similar way to an Expresso machine. ...I bought this for my partner as a christmas present. Shes a keen coffee drinker and sooooo fussy ! Usually if it isnt costa coffee she wont go near it. But happily this has fitted in nicely. The unit itself looks nice and isnt obtrusive in the ktchen. Some say its noisy, but compared to other kitchen applances it isnt, when you think about a hum of a dishwasher, the boiling of the kettle, rumble of the washing machine......you get the idea......its no worse. Its very easy to use and just as easy to clean. Its quck too, it takes seconds to make a cup of your favourite hot drink. I dont drink coffee, however my partner does and loves this machine, as i said shes fussy over her cappucino but her daily cup from the tassimo is part of routine now. ...Ive had my tassimo machine for around 3 months now and i am really impressed with it. It makes you a drink in about 30 seconds, and is very easy to use. You can make tea, coffee, espresso, and of course hot chocolate, which is what I make most!! You can make adjustments if you like you coffee a little bit weaker, as I do, there is a manual mode that allows you to adjust the volume of water to taste. I thourghly recommend this machine as the drinks taste great and it is easy to use. You also get to free packs of disks in the box. The only down side to this machine is the cost to the environment. The extent of packaging involved in making a single cupis really quite scary, I have limited myself to one or two cups a day. I know this is a little silly considering the cost of purchasing the machine etc., however I have been feeling... Read review

...When the Braun Tassimo was being advertised on telly on almost every break, I have to admit I was well inticed ! Most of all cos of the list of drinks available, and also because it looked so good on the telly and matched my Braun toaster and kettle ! COST OF MACHINE I did a lot of shopping around and at first it was costing approx 99 pounds but finally i got a bargain at 72 pounds from the Tesco website with free delivery and also earned some valuable Tesco Clubcard Points ! COST OF DRINKS Ranges between 3.50 and more and can get a approx 18 coffees or teas but only about 8 cuppachinos. U have to buy separate milk cartriages which are not much cheaper so the cost of that is rediculous in my opinion and u have to do the work twice, put in the coffee cartriage and the after disposing it put in the milk one, what a waste of time...
