It just sits there waiting for you to place a 'pod' in and makes a great cup of coffee! It makes very small cups of coffee though, half a mug to be precise but they can be used twice to fill the mug and the coffee is still strong enough for my taste. It is available in three choices of colour (black, white or blue.) Mine's a black one. It was an early Christmas present so I didn't have to shop around for the best price but I believe that they were on offer at Tesco at a very reasonable price with free delivery compared to the Tassimo site where they are £99.99. ...Ive had my tassimo machine for around 3 months now and i am really impressed with it. It makes you a drink in about 30 seconds, and is very easy to use. You can make tea, coffee, espresso, and of course hot chocolate, which is what I make most!! You can make adjustments if you like you coffee a little bit weaker, as I do, there is a manual mode that allows you to adjust the volume of water to taste. I thourghly recommend this machine as the drinks taste great and it is easy to use. You also get to free packs of disks in the box. The only down side to this machine is the cost to the environment. The extent of packaging involved in making a single cupis really quite scary, I have limited myself to one or two cups a day. I know this is a little silly considering the cost of purchasing the machine etc., however I have been feeling... Read review

Who would have thunk that my new gadget the Braun "Tassimo" could replace my kettle, teabags and assortment of instant coffees. Yet this is precisely what the Tassimo has done. Now the Tassimo is undoubtedly a smart piece of kit. My sleek black machine nestles comfortably in the corner of our teeny tiny kitchen and takes up surprisingly little space. Certainly no more than my toaster. Using my Tassimo is an absolutely joy as I simply plug it in, fill up the water reservoir and switch it on. Hey presto, I am ready to go. The Tassimo uses strange things called "T-Discs" which act as your filter and drink in one. ...I recieved my Tassimo as a present.(Which i asked for.) Its retail price is 100 pounds. However if you look around you can manage to get it cheaper. The person that bought me the Tassimo managed to get it on Amazon with free delivery for 75 pounds. Also, when you register your Tassimo online you recieve free 'T-disks'. Yes, 'T-disks'. This is what the machine takes. The T-disk is a small round plastic disk with the chosen drink mixture inside. For example the tea T-disk contains fresh tea leaves. The hot water enters the disk and out comes nice hot tea. ...I love my Tassimo! OK, I must confess I am addicted to hot chocolate! I have been looking for a hot chocolate machine for a long time and then along came Tassimo. For £99 (now around £79) i thought it was a little pricey but I decided to go for it anyway. I got my machine from Argos, after opening the box there is a minimum of setup required - remove the protective cardboard, put the water container on the back, run through some water to clean the machine before the first use. There is a 'quick start' booklet leads you through this and it takes about 5 minutes. You now have a very nice coffee machine on the kitchen counter! My machine came with a selection of T-Discs to start with (I'm not sure if they are still doing this). T-Discs are the 'cartridges' that contain the drink. They include coffee or tea granules... .... Therefore not wasting a disc or having to restart the process. The disc to this product can be costly, If you registar with Tassimo they send you offers and money off coupons on a regular basis which saves you the odd 50p. I tend to buy my discs from Tesco which always has offers on these disc. You can also purchase them on line from Tassimo directly. It is easy to clean with a seperate plastic disc which is provided in the pack which clears the machine inside out from the machine reading the barcode on the cleaning disc. Since purchasing this product over a year ago it is still running strong and still in use by all member of my family household. This is due to the easy cleaning and use of the device unlike other more complicated coffee makers which have to be taken apart to clean. The machine is quite a large amount to pay out... ...The Tassimo is absolutely great. Me and my wife have wanted one since we first saw it, being coffee addicts, but couldn't afford it for a while. However, once a sale was on, we couldn't resist and spent approximately £80 of our hard-earned cash on one. We have now had it for about a year, and haven't regretted the decision even once. We love how fast and easy it is to make coffee now! No fuss, no mess, just nice coffee, time and again. No need for measuring quantities of coffee and water for that perfect flavour either, as it comes out great everytime. You have the choice of stronger or weaker coffee by stopping it just before the cycle finishes or by adding water in the end. The other great thing, which at the time we couldn't find with other such coffee makers, was the different drinks it can make, from your standard filter coffee... Read review

...I bought our Tassimo as a present for my boyfriend as he drinks lots of coffee but I rarely do (did!) and whenever we bought filter coffee, we would end up throwing most of it away because it had gone stale and lost its taste and aroma. I thought the pods would keep better and longer. I bought it on special offer from Amazon.co.uk for approx. £65 with free postage and it arrived two days later. However, the regular price is £99 and I don't think Amazon have the special offer now, but it's worth checking around ... My boyfriend was delighted and put it straight to work! Unfortunately smoke started coming out of the machine at the bottom. We rang the helpline who were VERY helpful and they suggested turning it straight off (which we had done anyway) and returning it. ...OK i guess, this is what you buy when you have nothing better to spend your money on. It makes okish coffee don't get me wrong, but seriously its a pain in the a$$, strike 1. theres this stupid water tank on the back that constantly needs to be filled either when its got no water or when the water goes off, strike 2. T-discs , o dear , what an awfull invention not only are they expensive they have a feeling of 'why am i doing this for a coffee when theres instant sitting in the corner'. Strike 3. the noise it makes whilest spitting out some fine looking coffee is painful and makes you wonder if it would be safer to stay atleast 2 metres away during this process. As you can probably tell iam not overly pleased by this machine and would advise that there are most definatly other better products around the same price or even cheaper.... Read review

Its always best to shop around for these things as stores have special offers and there is always someone offering it cheaper than everyone else.
