Why I bought them...
A large quantity of bedding, clothes and other odds and ends that needed to be transported over two hundred miles from home to my narrowboat in readiness for my next cruise was causing me a real problem. Since retiring to enjoy my boat and freedom, my income has dwindled to nil and downsizing is the name of the game. My car has downsized too, now a little Ford KA, great for shopping but pretty useless for anything involving luggage or bulk. Advantages: Space Saving Ideas for Home and Abroad Disadvantages: None I can think of
...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. Excellent I would rate these to anybody you can even use them for going abroad and storing your much loved items and reducing space which we all know must happen when traveling on a plane think of the goodies you can bring back !!

Advantages: Good colour and texture, smells lovely, enhances colour Disadvantages: Expensive for what it does
...Seeing as my hair is now at the stage where it needs a complete rest from dyeing, I have been on the lookout for alternative ways of keeping my red colour a little bit longer. Therefore, when I saw The Big W had a sale on recently, I was happy to snap up this product for half price. (Expect to pay between £3 and £4 for a 250ml bottle normally.)
Te Tao has been a well-known range for quite a while now, but it wasn’t one I had ever tried, feeling the products were rather over-priced. They do a range of shampoos for various hair types (see www.tetao.com for further details) but this one caught my eye because it is a deep, dark orange-red colour and had the word ‘henna’ in it. As you probably know, henna has been used for centuries to dye hair in a more natural way than using bleaches and chemicals.

...Earlier this year, lacking the funds for a fancy flat screen TFT or LCD monitor to replace my 4 year old Dell monitor I decided to opt for the Relisys TE 770 model CRT model. Having never even heard of the brand name before, I was rather skeptical.
My sole reason for buying the TE 770 was that it was the only black monitor currently on offer in the shop, put simply I wanted my new monitor to compliment my other hardware components.
Setting the model up was quite easy, a power cable is supplied with the monitor, though you may need some help from another person when lifting the monitor onto a desk or workspace.
You do need to plug in two leads, the monitor's input cable, and the power cable. The input cable must be slotted into the American style 3 - pin slot in the back of your tower/ flat case unit.

Review of Relisys TE 770
Advantages: A decent capacity, pretty cheap, vertically mounted Disadvantages: Not really all that portable, can be a bit noisy for a bedroom, it's grey!
...one thing it doesn't support (or at least with me) is a Vista function called ReadyBoost. If you don't know what it is then don't worry about it as you probably don't use it. It's usually used with flash RAM devices anyway.
It's spin speed is around 7200RPM so it's not exactly slow and has a seek time of around 9ms so accessing files is pretty quick. On the transfer stakes it does a good job. I can transfer a 1.5gb movie file in around 1 minute 30 seconds, and small files are also just as fast. It's also helped by the fact that it's USB 2.0 so the theory is you can transfer 480Mb per second.
So what's the downside of it? Well first up, as I said, it's grey. For anyone who likes all their devices to be colour co-ordinated then this may not be for you. I did ask whether it was available in other colours (or at least with a blue...

If you only have time to visit one thing in Wellington, visit Te Papa. Many of the collections are online, so if you can't make it all the way to New Zealand, then have a look at the web pages instead. Originally dating from 1992 (or 1998 for the present incarnation in its iconic building), this is a modern museum suitable for children and adults alike and the exhibits are fun and often interactive, whilst still being educational.
Most of the exhibitions are free, but you pay if you want to go on a guided tour. Lifts going to every floor help with accessibility and are useful for everyone - the museum goes up to floor level 7, so we were quite worn out by the end of our trip...
