Advantages: Pleasant poppy sound, suitably gloomy lyrics Disadvantages: Can be a bit gentle for my tastes
...also a poetic aspect here that?s helped them endure.
After their debut album ?Rattlesnakes? became a student classic, featuring the excellent single ?Perfect Skin?, the boys from Glasgow produced their follow-up, Easy Pieces in 1985. It?s an album I still play occasionally now, and replaced on CD for the nostalgia value. It serves as a reminder that not everything I bought back then was rubbish.
A brief rundown of the tracks:
1. Rich
Big drum sound dominates the opening, with a brass and string backing. Listen closely and the gently picked guitar is still evident in this mid tempo opening, with a rock and roll feel.
?She left you 1958, When the thought of another fifteen years
Was more than she could face
But did you miss her much well hey, You never gave her too much thought.?

Advantages: even easy cut, good value for money Disadvantages: none to report yet
...I got this for my partner because, quite frankly, I was sick of him stealing the scissors and my razors at home!
This clipper is a good product and I would always reccomend something from the babyliss range - call me a sucker for brands but I have never had a problem with the make when buying products before.
The overall appearance isn't the typical appearance to clippers, at least not ones I've seen before but just like it says on the tin my partner found them easy to use and hold.
Straight from the box the clippers use "Unique circular blade technology for multi directional cutting" which seem to make a massive differents than a pair of scissors giving the cut a nice and even appearance.
The product is rechargable and comes with the mains equipment for corded use or uncorded, whichever you prefer!
The results look very...
Advantages: Some big tunes Disadvantages: Inconsistent
...The Empire TakeOva brought Drake?s ?Listen? mixtape in 2009 and it finds a compilation of the Canadian rapper and singers work through the year, including lots of fresh cuts that build upon the tunes that all know (such as ?Successful? and ?Best I?ve Ever Had?) as they had been floating around since early in the year. When he isn?t the most prominent artist on a track, this mixtape only features his verse to cut things down and showcase what he is about.
1. ?Listen? (Intro)
2. ?Fear? (Lude)
3. ?Rock N Roll?
After a fairly weak start, in which you get an introduction followed up by a coupe of lines of a verse and then a hook before you finally get to this one when he gets a minute and a half to make an impression upon the listeners. He goes off on top of some lively club beats and I felt that this meant that he was half the way to...

Review of Listen - Drake
Advantages: Good colour and texture, smells lovely, enhances colour Disadvantages: Expensive for what it does
...the bottle about a month and there’s still enough left for another wash, but I have used other shampoos too. It lathers well and is easy to rinse off.
It seems to clean my hair well, but it does feel quite dry and tangled afterwards, so I definitely need to use a conditioner. But the combination of the Te Tao and my Aussie 3-Minute Miracle conditioner leave my hair looking lovely and feeling silky.
I do think the Te Tao has helped keep my red colour, as it doesn’t seem to have faded as much as I would normally expect it to. I don’t think it would effectively dye your hair from scratch, but if you have a red dye on it or if your hair naturally has red tones, this should be an effective way of enhancing them.
So would I buy it again? Well, yes and no. If I saw a bottle for under £2, I would buy it again. I would not pay up...
Advantages: Excellent highly defined display. Good for the price. Disadvantages: Can develop faults over time.
...Earlier this year, lacking the funds for a fancy flat screen TFT or LCD monitor to replace my 4 year old Dell monitor I decided to opt for the Relisys TE 770 model CRT model. Having never even heard of the brand name before, I was rather skeptical.
My sole reason for buying the TE 770 was that it was the only black monitor currently on offer in the shop, put simply I wanted my new monitor to compliment my other hardware components.
Setting the model up was quite easy, a power cable is supplied with the monitor, though you may need some help from another person when lifting the monitor onto a desk or workspace.
You do need to plug in two leads, the monitor's input cable, and the power cable. The input cable must be slotted into the American style 3 - pin slot in the back of your tower/ flat case unit.
The power cable has two ends...

Review of Relisys TE 770
Advantages: Lovely period detail and solid direction. Disadvantages: It isn't as funny as it could be.
...of the film. Composer Marius De Vries has created arrangements of modern songs in the style of Cole Porter and Noel Coward. So tracks like "Carwash", "Sexbomb" and "When the Going Gets Tough" sound right at home with standards such as "Mad About the Boy", "Let's Misbehave" and "It Had to Be You" thanks to the light jazz stylings of the arrangements. The members of the Easy Virtue Orchestra sound as though they are having fun and cast members like Ben Barnes and Jessica Biel get the chance to prove their singing credentials. De Vries has also written some suitably jazzy incidental music that features Dixieland jazz clarinet and warm brass with brushed cymbal. The music suits the style of the movie and will probably work as a stand-alone album.
"Easy Virtue" is a likeable period comedy drama that doesn't break any new ground. The direction is...

Review of Easy Virtue
Advantages: Greta for easy listening! Disadvantages: Not a lot of upbeat tracks
...This is not a fantastic album unfortunately, and doesn't live up to Sitting down Here and the new (re-released) single Unforgivable Sinner. There are now particularly upbeat tracks like Playing My Game which is a shame. However, every song is gorgeous and pleasant to listen to. The first five are all memorable, whereas the last five pehaps are easier to forget. They are though, extremely nice and it's a great album to listen to if you want to relax, or just put on some easy background music whilst you're doing something else. Not amazing, but it's a lovely album. The ten tracks included are enough....
Advantages: Fun, educational, entertaining, hands on Disadvantages: Very big (can't see it all), can't take pictures of exhibits
...Te Papa Tongarewa museum ("Te Papa" or "Our Place" for short) is New Zealand's national museum and is right in the heart of Wellington next to the docks. If you only have time to visit one thing in Wellington, visit Te Papa. Many of the collections are online, so if you can't make it all the way to New Zealand, then have a look at the web pages instead. Originally dating from 1992 (or 1998 for the present incarnation in its iconic building), this is a modern museum suitable for children and adults alike and the exhibits are fun and often interactive, whilst still being educational.
Most of the exhibitions are free, but you pay if you want to go on a guided tour. Lifts going to every floor help with accessibility and are useful for everyone - the museum goes up to floor level 7, so we were quite worn out by the end of our trip...
Advantages: Simple, kind dog training method and a wealth of practical experience and advice Disadvantages: None
...We’ve had Monty Roberts, the Horse Whisperer (from his book ‘The Man Who Listens to Horses’), with Robert Redford playing him in the movie version – now we have Jan Fennell, the Dog Whisperer. I’d like to see Glen Close playing her in the movie. What’s next, the Human Listener? No, that’ll never happen.
Jan is a dog lover with a difference. She is trained in psychology and has studied wolf behaviour. This has given her a unique incite into the mind of the dog. She was inspired by Monty Roberts – and in fact he wrote the foreword to this book, he is so impressed with her work.
Her approach to dogs is much like Desmond Morris’s (‘Dogwatching’), in that she goes back to the theory that today’s dogs are just domesticated wolves. In the wolf pack there are always...
Advantages: does what it says, smells lovely Disadvantages: slightly expensive.
...For as long as I can remember I have been using Head and Shoulders shampoo as I suffer with a dry flaky scalp. This works well, but recently my hairdresser advised me not to use it as often as I do as it was to harsh for me.
So over the last week or so I have been searching for a shampoo that wouldn't be has harsh but still gave me the effect of my usual shampoo.
I spent ages looking on the shelves and spotted a shampoo that I had seen a while back but never bothered with as I didn't know much about it.
WHAT IS IT CALLED?
TE TAO (chinese herbal therapy) TEA FOR HAIR
This shampoo gently cleanses your hair and regulates dry scalp, so it seemed ideal for what I needed from a shampoo. It contains mild chrysanthemum, lycium berries and eclipta.
It cost me £2.99 for a 250ml/8.4floz bottle. This was from Tesco.
I started...
