...Tesco Premium Tea bags are described on the packaging as being; "A blend of quality teas for a full flavour and a naturally refreshing taste." The tea has a flavour strength of 2 so according to the key on the pack this is a medium strength tea. The product is contained in a simple red box which contains the tea bags themselves which are wrapped in foil, presumably to retain freshness. The tea bags themselves are of the round variety. I personally prefer this type as you seem to get much more flavour from each bag than you can usually get out of a square tea bag. I have found the tea to be tasty, refreshing and leaves no bitter aftertaste even when left in a pot for a long time. As someone who likes their tea strong I would recommend that boiling water is poured slowly onto the tea bag to release the full flavour... Read review

...in the slightest. Of all the herbal teas - of which i am a fan these are the only ones i would recommend no one tried. Even if you try to drink them with some chocolate digestives or jaffa cakes - the horrid taste is not disguised! Herbal Teas are extremely low in calories, but i wouldnt say that suffering a cup of this rancid lemon tea every day is worth saving a few calories! The other ones in this range are alot more palletable and are actually much better if you want a warm and low fat/ calories beverage. Smell: A strong lemony aroma like the pancake Jif juice - actually quite pleasant a smell but no one in their right mind would buy tea bags, brew them and have the cups just hanging around on the sheves and sides of their house just so the place smells nice! ...I don't run out of tea bags very often (except when my tea mad parents are visiting!), but today I found just a few left at the bottom of the caddy, so I put 'tea bags' on my shopping list, and looked for good old 'Tetley's' in the shop. Today's purchase was a bag of 160 teabags from Safeway supermarket at the price of £2.67. Oh, and it also had a free decaffeinated tea bag sample attached to the top! ************* Why the Tetley brand is the brand for me ******* I do not buy any other tea brand now, because I have become very fond of the lovely smooth and mellow flavour that Tetley provides. My particular taste in tea is for a refreshing drink. I can not stand strong tea. ...the Clock lettering quite prominently over the design. Once the shrink wrap is removed, you'll notice 2 slits in the top of the box, so you can see the tea bags through. I guess this makes it useful to see how many you have left, without actually opening the box - they think of everything these days. The bottom of the box contains the usual tea making instructions, so for those new to this : 1 bag per person, add fresh boling water, leave for 2-3 minutes, remove the bag, and add sugar / milk if desired. So pretty simple, even for a supermarket check-out girl. The best before is almost 2 years after purchase and the Tetley company information is also there if you have a problem with it, or get stuck with any of the hard bits. ...the caffeine keeping me up all night. So this is the perfect warm drink for me in the evenings. And apparently it's good for me, too. PRICE It cost me £1.99 for a box of 40 teabags from the Co-Op. I think it may be slightly cheaper at bigger supermarkets. PACKAGING The teabags are packed loosely in a brightly coloured box, every 2 bags attached to eachother. You could argue that it's better to individually wrap them in paper with a dinky little dunking tag on each bag, but I think this is less wasteful and nothing a sealed jar can't solve. The bags smell just a little aromatic. HOW TO BREW I've never subscribed to the school of thought where you dip a teabag in some water for a nanosecond and then chuck it away. ...to the box. It’s very nice packaging, however the contents have no foil wrapping, and once the box is opened, it is very difficult to keep the tea fresh, unless you put it in a plastic tub. This prohibits you from displaying the box, though. Also, when you open the box, it doesn’t seem to want to close again. THE BREW I am sure we all know how to make a cup of tea, but I will state my preparation preferences for the record. I put the bag in a cup, pour over boiling hot water, wait four minutes, remove the bag, and add a dash of cold semi skimmed milk. This is my favourite way to have tea. Traditional Afternoon makes quite a bold cup. The colour is quite dark, and the aroma is lovely – earthy, a little malty, and very seductive. ...With 2000 perforations per tea bag, my Tetley One Cup is the best way to get my caffiene fix, night or day. The packet says Tetley's tea is naturally rich in anitioxidants and that's the buzz thing nowadays so it has to be good for me ... and you, of course. The One Cup 100s packet says it's ``just right for making tea in a cup or a mug''. I have mine in a mug so I am getting the best out of it, as they advise that ``the One Cup tea bags have been specially designed for you to enjoy the perfect Tetley flavour every time you make tea in a cup or a mug.`` What I like about this black tea is the taste, it makes a nice brew and it is always fresh and of course it easy to make. ...infused with lemon over green tea alone as the lemon makes the tea far more palatable and, even though it is definitely a a taste that grows on you, I think it can be far more enjoyable to have a cup of green tea than normal tea. The Jacksons green tea with lemon tea bags are all individually wrapped. This equates for the fact that the price is often a little higher than that of other similar products but it is worth it; many places, I'm thinking at this point of my place of work, do not offer green tea and so these handy individual wrappings mean that you can pop a tea bag in your handbag without having to worry about a mess. The tea itself, in my opinion - as with so many herbal teas - smells better than it tastes, you make the tea with water, just under boiling. ...Up until the grand old age of 40 you wouldn’t have got me near a cup of tea, I was very much milk and juice drinker but then something changed, well actually a lot of things start to change when you reach 40 but this is a tea bag review so I will stick to the task at hand. Now that I am an avid tea drinker (around ten cups a day) it has to be Tetley for me. I have tried various brands especially at the start of my tea drinking because then I thought tea was tea and that was that. Even when you have your brand chosen there are still variations to choose from such as the original Tetley or the Tetley one cup for instance. I tend to stick to the original unless the one cup are on offer because I feel we are being charged more for the same bloody tea bag to be honest as I can find no difference between the two. It has a smooth, gentle taste, is very refreshing - due perhaps to the natural lemon pieces in the tea-bags, and it is crisp and refreshing but not at all overpowering.
