Desert Essence Face Wash
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Foam Face Wash by  MariaGL

Advantages: The right bit of moisturizing, and astringient qualities alike
Disadvantages: expensive -around$6- for 4fl.oz, but it lasts....

...I've been using this product now for about one year, and it's my steadfast face 'soap'. It's full name is: Thoroughly Clean FACE WASH with Tea Tree Oil and Awapuhi. The company name is actually Desert Essence. Anyway, I discovered it after finding my other, different product wasn't doing the trick anymore. For those of us who have combination skin, but, maybe a little oily at times, and have drier patches too - this is great. Do you ever have the immunity problem? Like when you wash your face with the same product, and, after a while it just doesn't work anymore? Like your skin has built up an immunity? This product will not do that. It refreshes every time. It's excellent in winter, because Tea Tree Oil is, in fact, an 'oil' - but it's also very refreshing in summer months when you need a truly refreshing, cleansed feeling,- tea tree... Read review

Tea Tree Oil Face Mask: Terrific!!
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Face Mask by  louxlou1

Advantages: works wonders!!
Disadvantages: can't think of any!!

...My sister bought me The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil Face Mask for Christmas, and I admit that it was one of the most satisfying beauty products that I recieved this year. The 100ml pot, a squashed cylindrical shape, is peppermint green in colour with a black lid. The instructions for use can be found on the underside of the pot. This clay-based face mask is designed for normal, oily or blemished skin. I have found that it works really well on my face because my skin is not the same all over, meaning that some parts are oily, another has blemishes, and the rest is normal. An improvement in my overall complexion can be seen immediately after I remove the mask. The mask is easy to use (probably very similar to most face masks.) Just smooth onto your face and neck after cleansing (avoiding lip and eye area) and leave it for ten... Read review

Unisex Facial Wash
Review of Avon Tea Tree Face Wash by  belinda9

Advantages: Unisex
Disadvantages: slight smell

...The facial wash from Avon is a great seller , I have a particular male customer who buys this product as he has problem skin. The price is very reasonable £2.49 for 125ml.When on offer you can buy three for a fiver. It is good for any kind of skin even sensitive or people with acne. All you do is put a liitle onto your hands and lather up using a small amount of warm water, apply to face and then rinse off with warm water. If you can stand cold water after , splash some over your face this will close your pores. The smell isn't too bad compared to neat tea tree and will not linger for ages. Because it doesn't smell girlie even your man can use it.... Read review

Stick to pure tea tree oil and save your face
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub by  cladach29

Advantages: Nice smell, nice packaging
Disadvantages: Poor exfoliator, expensive

...fresh and tingly after washing, I did not persist in using it as it did not improve my skin and if anything actually made it worse. I think there is some debate currently about whether exfoliation really benefits acne and whether in fact it doesn't just exacerbate the problem. I switched to simply using a regular moisturising facial wash and applying Body Shop pure tea tree oil to problem areas, and my skin improved quite quickly. ---Value for money--- A bit pricey given that there are other facial washes, including exfoliators, which are cheaper. Currently is priced at GBP 3-4. ---Availability--- In all Body Shop outlets (UK and Australia). ---Summary--- Not a particularly good product for me, and not great value for money; perhaps best enjoyed by those who regularly use exfoliating face washes and are looking to try... Hooray for tea tree
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash by  mareth

Advantages: clearer, cleaner, fresher skin
Disadvantages: may be unsuitable for some people

...Having tried just about every product on the market for problem skin, I thought I'd never find one that actually worked and didn't bring my face out in yet another rash. However, as my husband bought me a variety of tea tree products as a gift, the least I could do was try them. The first thing I noticed when I used the facial wash was that my skin felt clean and fresh. My skin didn't react to the tea tree wash, so it was definitely a step forward. After a few uses my skin condition had visibly improved and felt softer, although perhaps a little dry also.. There is a warning on the bottle that this product may not be suitable for very sensitive skin, but it has proved to be a definite help to mine. At around £3.95 for 250ml, it's not an expensive treatment by any means and you use a very small amount per wash so it is good value... Read review

Tea tree a gift from nature.
Review of Avon Tea Tree Peel-Off Face Mask by  Gill_J

Advantages: Tea Tree is a natural product tried and tested for centuries.
Disadvantages: As with all peel off face masks, preparation is the key to it not being a messy job.

...A band for keeping the hair out of your face is an essential for using with this wonderful mask as it can be messy if it gets into you hair but the benefits you see and feel are well worth it, a product for using on a pampering night once a week for best results. You apply the mask to freshly washed skin, I use the facial wash from the same range and dont be put off by the look and smell, its not scented so all you smell is the fresh herbal smell of Tea Tree which is very difficult to describe, trust me though its worth it. You need to apply the mask with care to cover all areas but keep it away from your eyes and then sit back and let nature do its work, there is no stinging or tingling and you know its time to peel off the mask when it feels dry on your skin, peel off and then rinse with warm water and pat dry and you have deeply... ●Tea Tree Oil●
Review of Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) by  JulyBunny

Advantages: Works on Almost Anything, Good Price and Lasts A Long Time
Disadvantages: Just the Packaging

...to the required area with a cotton bud. It can also work on love bites. When people say put toothpaste onto a chewy to cool it down and ease the blood away from the skin, and then it hardly ever works – well Tea Tree works well on this. I have also applied it to cuts, and yes, it does sting for a bit, but then after the stinging goes away, the cool feeling kicks in. It really cleans the cut and helps it to heal. You can dilute to water for this too, if you don’t want to apply it straight. INHALATION: You can add Tea Tree Oil to hot water and inhales the fumes. You can also apply to you pillow or your pyjamas before bed to help sleep and clear the mind. I have always used steaming water and covered my head with a towel over the sink and let the steam go onto my skin. It really cleans your face and opens up your pores to help clear... Read review

avon tea tree mask
Review of Avon Tea Tree Peel-Off Face Mask by  pink_champagne

Advantages: refreshing, soothing
Disadvantages: doesnt peel off all in one go

...will feel it getting drier, and tightening on your skin. When the 20 minutes are over, and the mask has dried to a transparent film, you just peel it away to reveal, smoother, softer skin. It does feel very strange when you peel it away, and it reminds me of those BBC adverts where the people peel back their faces. The biggest disadvantage about this mask is that when you peel it off you are sometimes left with little bits that are hard to peel back, but they can normally be removed by washing them away. The product states that the mask cleanses and helps improve the texture of your skin. I found that to be true, as my skin did feel smoother, but not by a great deal. The product contains tea tree, which is known for it's antiseptic properties, and I sometimes apply tea tree oil directly to any spots I may get, but this mask didn't seem to make... Read review

Wow - The best face cleaner ever
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Foam Face Wash by  thisnamesux

Advantages: Spot free skin
Disadvantages: Prolonged use makes skin dry

...This face cleanser is the best on the market! Tea tree oil is the best stuff for combatting spots. I used to use stuff like Clearasil etc... but then I found Tea Tree oil. Wow - combats spots like nothing else!!! I'm 15 years old, and had trouble with spots, now I hardly get any! I also use it to clean my piercing (eyebrow) which is great! The anti bacterial properties of it make it an excellent facial cleanser, and piercing cleanser (i also use hydrogen peroxide 6% aswell as tea tree oil on my eyebrow) The only downer on this product is that prolonged usage of it makes your skin feel dry. But at least there are no spots ;) The way I use it, is to squirt a load on a flannel, then scrub it into my skin, to remove all dirt and grime. One bottle lasts about 6 - 10 weeks for me.... The amazing purifying properties of T-Tree!
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash by  funkyfiend

Advantages: smooth, clear skin that feels and looks gooooood
Disadvantages: none, at £2.50 its totally spiffing!

...Tea Tree Oil has long been known to have amazing healing properties and has been found to be anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral. Australian Aboriginals used the leaves from the actual tree to treat cuts and skin infections by crushing the leaves and applying them to the affected area. As a person with sensitive skin, not particularly prone to spots but you cant always stop them dammit, i have been looking for a face wash/cleanser that would suit me for a long time. And being a great believer in the beneficial properties of plants and natural products, i went to the Body Shop and came across this wonderful bottle of skin goodness. Just massage it into wet/damp skin to foam it up then rinse away and it leaves your skin feeling fabulously clean and clear deep down and really smooth and a great base to put foundation on well...
