Teac reference 300 - best mini system under £1000
Review of Teac REF 300 DAB MK III by  psilk

Advantages: Great Sound, Great Looks, Great Price
Disadvantages: Remotes a bit cheap, no USB port,

...Having been in the market to downsize my old hi fi for something more compact, I've settled on the Teac reference 300 mkIII with DAB tuner. Its a 3 box system as opposed to the other smaller one box systems manufactured by Teac and others such as Denon, Arcam and Onkyo. As such, although being larger, it is more user friendly to use and has more power at 45 wpc RMS. At around £500 rrp it stands up favourably in price to the Arcam Solo Mini and comes in silver or black finish with machined aluminium fronts and a classy blue display on each unit. It actually appears slightly retro in appearance although the remotes are a bit cheap looking. The silver units can be found for as little as £349 without speakers so its quite a bargain. Sound quality for such a small unit is really clear and well defined with a warm bass typical of Teac... Read review

My Unbiased review of the Teac CRL600
Review of Teac CRL600 by  IanOnline

Advantages: Compact, yet Powerful
Disadvantages: None

...After re-aranging our lounge a decision was made that the black clunky stacking hi-fi had to go, so a search on the internet and a visit to the Richer Sounds website led me initially to the Denon DM31. I visited my local Richer sounds shop in Norwich the following day with the intention of purchasing a Denon, but a very helpful assistant informed me if I was to run powerful speakers such as mine (Bose Acoustimass 5) I would be better off with the Teac CRL600 with a higher wattage. I hesitated as I had no info on this model, but decided to go with it when he assured me if I wasnt happy I could return it within 14days. I plugged it all in at home and WOW I was very impressed. Far superior than my stacking ugly system. This unit sits beneath my tv ontop of the DVD player and looks well at home. The audio quality from the CD and radio... Read review

K(61(0(i)
Review of Sony Ericsson K610i by  lfc9876543210

Advantages: good phone generally
Disadvantages: bad ,no light ,camera

...Please bear in mind that the handset I'm reviewing here is the version on the '3' network here in the UK so a standard Sony Ericsson handset may have some differences to the O/S and software! Having spent many hours using the K600 and 608i handsets, (which were basically the same phone) the arrival of the K610 should provide a much needed boost to SE's workhorse range. The first thing that struck me about the 610 (apart from its good looks) is how much lighter than the K608 it is and how well it sat in my hand. The body of the phone is plastic, but in true SE style it is beautifully put together and feels a 'quality' piece of kit. The keypad is easy to use for dialling and texting and there is a welcome change in the new centre 'D-Pad' which replaces the tiresome joystick for navigating around the phones menu's. In fact the whole... Read review

K610i
Review of Sony Ericsson K610i by  remmy27

Advantages: Very good phone
Disadvantages: None

...The K610i 3G handset measures 102 x 45.2 x 16.9 mm and weighs no more than 92g. This sorta size and weight is becoming the norm for many 3G handsets at this time. A nice start. However, it sometimes pays not to overlook some of the other 3G competition on the shelves. In terms of size the new LG U400 is 99.8 x 48 x 18.9mm and weighs 114g. The Nokia 6234 is 108 x 46 x 18mm and 110g. I list these simply to offer comparisons. The K610i is made out of plastic yet feels rather sturdy. You can see the VGA camera used for video calls towards the top of the phone and to its left - somewhat hidden away is the ear speaker slot. Very discreet. The model we had was black and urban silver. A somewhat dreary sounding colour scheme, which looked surprisingly "laid back" and "cool". The K610i has a 1.9" 262K-colour TFT screen. The quality is sharp... Read review

Sony Ericsson T610 - An all-round good buy
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  garyfinny

Advantages: Nice Design, All-round ease of Used, Packed with Features
Disadvantages: LCD hard to Use in bright sunlight, small user memory

...Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this review. Feel free to rate it or leave your comments, I’ll reply to them as best I can. INTRODUCTIONS So, let’s first introduce our product, the Sony Ericsson T610. Released in April, 2003, the T610 was the long awaited successor to the Sony Ericsson T68i. The T68 was one of the first phones which really started the trend; it was way ahead of it’s competition, a market dominated by Nokia at the time, with it’s colour screen, Bluetooth and optional camera functions. All those features have been incorporated into the T610; although the camera has now been integrated into the back of the phone and other new features have been added which we’ll cover later. This really is a mass-market phone; there’s something here to appeal to almost everyone. FIRST IMPRESSIONS The T610 is quite... Read review

Sony Erricson - T610 my next buy!!!
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  Vidx

Advantages: Small, lightweight, 65,000 colors, dual body colors, button spacing
Disadvantages: Difficult to use menu, 2MB memory, not many servicing centers, very poor tech support.

...Hey there! If you are reading this review then you are thinking of buying a T610 for yourself or others. Well if you are going in for a camera phone, 65000 color screen, good build and moderate memory then this is the best buy in the whole of Sony Erricson Cellular GSM phones. -Camera- The SE T610 has a integrated camera with the power of capturing an intimate moment forever at 288x352 pixels, the camera hole is located on the back of the cellular phone with a protective covering which reflects the disturbing light that can spoil the image which is displayed on the screen with white lines and blurrs. The camera is activated by a single button click located on the keypad which I have discussed later on. -Screen- We should agree that screen comes at a very high priority in a cellular phone specially if its a color one with a camera... T-6-1-0......Sold
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  lotto_2006

Advantages: stylish and funky, the design is simple and easy to use .....*****joystick****
Disadvantages: it has been outdated

...When I was looking things to sell in an auction site, I stumbled upon my old Sony Ericsson T610. I opened the box and there sat the old mobile phone. I tried moving my hands over them and that a lot of experiences have been kept in my mobile phone. Personally since the time that I could afford buying mobile phones I went for the Nokia brand but things changed when I went for my first Sony Ericsson phone. I could still remember my satisfaction then. I do not regret though that I parted ways with my T610 I know that the new owner would be glad having it. So what did T610 possessed? General Description: The mobile phone that I acquired some years back was on a contract...pay monthly but do not be saddened because you could have the mobile phone then up until now as a pay as you go. The casing was silver for the one that I bought... Read review

T610 and GPRS via Bluetooth
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  Portege3110CT

Advantages: Email, Bluetooth, GPRS and caller access-lists
Disadvantages: Camera is poor

...This is not a love song. It's an ode to a Geek. It's information on GPRS and Bluetooth using a Sony Ericsson T610. It works. I read and write emails via my service provider on the T610. No big deal. Just not long ones. I have also set up my Toshiba 3110CT Laptop to dialup to the Internet via a Bluetooth USB adapter and the Bluetooth interface on the T610. I use the dialler prefix of *99***1# in front of the ISP dialup number in the modem setup on the laptop. This seems to be standard in whatever country you're in as it tells the mobile phone you're about to dial an external number. The 1 before the hash is the number of the data accounts CID on your mobile phone. Most Bluetooth adapters come with PC/Laptop setup instructions so it should be all quite straight forward. Windows XP SP2 now has a Bluetooth client... Read review

T610 in a world of its own...
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  leannerobotham

Advantages: Feminine, Fun and Chic
Disadvantages: Attracts more fingerprints than the police!

...The Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone is a feminine chic phone with added style. The Aluminium panels and colour themes resemble an era of dark and light, it sleek sassy look and smooth easy to use design portrays excellence and thoughtful expression of one which all designers aim to be part of. The look and feel of this phone utters importance and sits well with any fashion or accessory. The usage of colour on the panels themselves are well adjusted to suit all environments. The inbuilt camera has its own shortcut on the top left hand side of the phone just so you can capture those memorable moments instantanuosuly without having to delve into the menus themselves. You can set a default or favourite setting for the camera so it will take the picture how you want it to, you have the ability to change the size and default name... Read review

T610, You'll Not Be Disappointed!
Review of Sony Ericsson T610 by  mozza42

Advantages: Great Screen, Fantastic Camera, USER FRIENDLY!
Disadvantages: Low Battery Life, Not Very Loud!

...This phone is the best I've had so far, and I've had a few!! It's got loads of features that you never knew you needed until you used them, and then thought 'How did I do without this before?', examples being the icon driven interface and being able to send pictures you've taken by email (fantastic, and something I've used a lot!). When you first hold the T610, you can feel that it is very, erm, nice! It's hard to explain, the phone has aluminium panels that are cool to the touch, yet reassuringly strong. The phone's very tactile, you just want to touch it and look at it as it is a very elagant design. The T610 is very light, but not so much that it feels flimsy, it's just about right. That's no 'bumph' copied and pasted from a website, it's what I think, and it's very hard to explain!! It's hard to believe that this small... Read review
