...This is another in the 'How to,,,' series of books of which I am such a fan. This book was very hard to get hold of, I think it was out of print, but is now readily available again. The fact that I was willing to search so hard for this book is testament to how much I like the series. This book is aimed at teachers, teaching assistants and other educational professionals who work with children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I would also recommend this to anyone working with children with other behavioural difficulties as many of the tip and suggestions would be relevant, and they won't harm the child in any way. The book starts with a contents page, then a preface which very briefly explains the content of the chapters; I have used this preface and the content of the chapters themselves to write this review...

Helping You To Help Yourself!

...As I have a great and very deep interest in psychology, hypnosis and all things related I rented this book (Teach Yourself NLP), by Amanda Vickers and Steve Bavister, which is part of the Teach Yourself series, from my local library. I have read a lot of information on NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in the past before and I must say that I was not expecting this much valuable information to be contained in one book. In fact, I was so impressed with the book that I read it twice! The book describes NLP as a form of applied psychology, a set of techniques modelled on the structure of subjective experience. The book then provides you with one small technique for you to try before learning anything, presumable to get you into the feel of it. The publication jumps straight in to well explained and very well described groups...
