The future is perfect!
Review of TimeSplitters Future Perfect (Xbox) by
Stunt101
Advantages: Core gameplay is still on fire; Past/Future self encounters are excellent; lots of modes.
Disadvantages: Story a little brief; some dips in frame rate; no custom soundtrack option.
...'ll hear a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo. Plus there's some truly hilarious moments, especially when Cortez encounters his future self. The music is great, with a mostly techno vibe to it all. Yet, the game still lacks the custom soundtrack option, where you can rip and listen to your own music while in gameplay. The effects are also great, as all of the guns sound very powerful, especially the machine guns. Overall, the sound is better than that of what was heard in Timesplitters 2.
-(Replay Value)-
Future Perfect is HUGE! Once you've finished the story mode on your first time through, which takes around 8-10 hours long, there's three more difficulty levels that reward you for playing through them. Also there's the arcade mode league which takes ages to get gold in. The challenge mode also takes a while to get all gold in and there...

Back to the future with you, marty!!
Review of Back To The Future DVD by
pmcds
Advantages: Great story and acting, groundbreaking and memorable
Disadvantages: None really
...the sidelines - just what the role required. Crispin Glover is also noteworthy as George McFly, Marty's father.
The rest of the supporting cast perform admirably in a film where it appears they work very hard to make it look an easy film to be in.
My Opinion
Back To The Future is a classic tale which will be a favourite of many for years to come. It will be for me. You would not be hard pushed to find technical errors, but it is more the entertainment factor of this film which appeals. I really like this film, and rate it as 4 stars out of 5.
The Extras include rare behind the scenes look at how the film was made, as well as a short piece revealing some of the secrets. 'Making the Trilogy Chapter 1' explores the film in relation to the further two films, and there is a version of the film with commentary from director Robert Zmeckis...

Building blocks for the future...
Review of Living Stones in the Household of God: The Legacy and Future of Black Theology - Linda E. Thomas by
frkurt
Advantages: Very interesting topics
Disadvantages: -
...In the past generation, Black Theology has made a dramatic impact on the American theological scene. Beginning formally with the work of James Cone (drawing on the experiences of others, and the general cultural experience of the African American people in the slavery and post-slavery settings), Black Theology has become a significant force in Christian theological discourse, and has even served as the seed-bed for other types of liberation theologies (Womanist theology, for example).
This book, `Living Stones in the Household of God: The Legacy and Future of Black Theology,' edited by Linda Thomas, is at once both a history and a theology text. While the overall direction of the book is forward-looking, as a good scholar Thomas knows that the future cannot be understood outside of the context of the past and present. Thomas...

Technics NOT technical...
Review of Technics SH-EH750 by
rachels_ratty
Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: None
...For those of you who don’t already know this let me share something with you. I’m a music lover; a slave to those little silver disks of loveliness that are CD’s, each and every one that gets into my house is well looked after and cared for. So it naturally follows that my hi-fi system has to be top-notch; I don’t just love my music, it HAS to sound the best it possibly can. Three years ago my old Technics separates system was starting to look a little jaded, the cassette deck had given up the ghost and it was time to relegate it to the bedroom.
The hunt was on for a replacement but I was very specific when it came to this new purchase. As my old system had given such first rate and long standing performance I was keen and eager to buy another by the same manufacturer. One quick trip into John Lewis and the deed was indeed done...

Technics 1200 / 1210 Mk2
Review of Technics SL1200Mk2 Turntable by
giles-y
Advantages: same turntable at home as in the clubs
Disadvantages: heavy
...Technics 1200 / 1210 what more can you say its the number one DJ turntable on the planet.
For years and years when i was younger just geting in to Djing all i wanted was a pair of technics.
after a few years with other direct drive decks i finally saved enough money to buy a pair i of technics, i bought the SL1200Mk2 because they were silver i did not like the brown of the 1210 much.
i have read around and talked to people and aparently the only difference between the 1200 and the 1210 is the colour.
I set up my new 1200s and got the tunes out. Wow what a turntable, after years of trying out all other types of direct drive turntables i could instantly see and feel the difference in build quality. the technics weight alot compared to any other turntable, this is because the bottom black base you see is not made of cheap moulded...

Lego Technic Combine Harvester
Review of Lego Technic: Combine Harvester by
ivytoad
Advantages: Looks so cool! Fun to assemble
Disadvantages: Don't misplace any pieces!
...Me and my boyfriend received this for Christmas from my parents. We tried to make it together doing different parts, but since you have to follow the instructions very carefully and do one step after another this was not really working, so I just had to sit next to my boyfriend and watch while he did it!
My mum got this from John Lewis for £49.99 but it is also available from the Lego website for the same price. I have also seen Lego Technic available in Toys'R'Us so it is not hard to get a hold of.
Lego Technic looks quite different from the 'normal' Lego that we all know. The parts are smaller than the normal lego bricks. It is like a more 'grown up' lego. The models that you make with it are usually articulated and quite advanced.
The model took us around 6 - 7 hours to assemble. Very good for keeping people entertained! I...

Are Technic 1210's Dated?
Review of Technics SL-1210 by
thedjcraiglee
Advantages: Industry Standard Decks
Disadvantages: Technology being left behind??
...I have had a set of Technic 1210's for around two years now. The design (even up to the MK5 Specials) still has not changed. This may cause a problem due to Technic's competition increasingly undercutting the price of 1210's and having decks which are more advanced technology wise. For example compare the Stanton STR8150 & Vestax PDX2300, with the Technic 1210s or even the 1210's MK5G's and you will see what i mean. This turntable is the industry standard (although i donot know how long for), it has pitch control -8 to +8, lights etc, huge torque (essential), anti-skate control, head shells, adjustable tone arms etc. Altogether a good solid turntable. The motor is almost gauranteed to keep this turntable turning for years and years, the quality of the work manship & quality of the components are apparent throughout this turntable...

My wonderful Technics keyboard
Review of Technics SX-KN2600 by
bagoproverbial
Advantages: Brilliant sounds! Beautiful to play
Disadvantages: Takes a while to learn navigation of the functions
...Ciao have finally put the category in for my Technics SX-KN2600 keyboard, so I just HAVE to tell you all about this wonderful musical instrument!
I should firstly let you know that I'm a competent keyboard / paino player, nothing special but I can play a few tunes and write some half-decent songs. I don't claim to be a master musician or a master songwriter, but I do love sitting down at the keyboard and messing about, working with sounds and arrangements and seeing if I can suddenly "stumble" into a new song (because that's really the best for it sometimes- you can be absently noodling and suddenly find you have an idea for a song- it just builds from there).
I have always loved playing the piano- from the age of five I always looked forward to going round my aunt's house to play the grand paino they had there- and many years ago...

...The Back to the Future trilogy has become a big part of cinematic history. It has captivated the hearts of millions, made millions in the box office and has become an icon of symbol, whilst also making stars out Michael J. Fox & Christopher Lloyd.
The trilogy has grossed over $785 million worldwide and the franchise is still making money.

The box set was accompanied with many extras including, storyboards, commentary, interviews, productions notes, trailers and much more.
