...I brought this Hi-fi system Technics SH-EH500 3 yrs ago now and cannot fault it in anyway. It cost me at the time of purchase £500 and is still worth every penny spent. It’s superwoofer is a good feature and the clock/timer feature is good too as it gets you up in the mornings. It's very powerful due to the many bass features it has so maybe a bit to powerful for a typical household environment. The Hifi it's self is very sylish looking Black with Gold trim. It came with these accessories AC power supply cord, Remote control transmitter, Remote control batteries, FM indoor antenna, AM loop antenna set, Speaker cords and Antenna plug adaptor. ...Technics SC-HD350 Micro HiFi System I spent some time looking for the right stereo system. I wanted a Micro system but with separate units. I eventually decided upon the Technics SC-HD350 Micro HiFi system, because it was the only one that was both affordable and stylish (in my opinion). The technics system, I feel, is in a class of it's own, as the style is very much like many of the better known separate micro systems, but is much cheaper. The Amplifier The system's sound quality very good. I was used to using an amplifier, so I knew what sound quality I should expect. I was not disappointed by the sound at all. ...User Profiles you can configure, customize and save - now if that's not a player that doesnt allow a tailor made dvd experience, i dont know what is! DVD Audio is handled very well indeed, there is support for Dolby Digital 5.1 Decoding and DTS, as well as Prologic II for those stereo dvds that randomly appear from time to time. there's also a Technics Super Surround Mode and Digital Subwoofer Bass Boost that can be used in conjunction with the official soundtracks. Reproduction is flawless, and bass is deep and called upon correctly on dts streams. Dolby 5.1 streams do come to life, and THX tests do show all channels behave correctly so no worries there! If you're really fussy, there is also a Subwoofer Output on the back of the hifi if the digital subwoofer from the two 16cm bass drivers on the front speakers dont quite provide enough... ...For those of you who don’t already know this let me share something with you. I’m a music lover; a slave to those little silver disks of loveliness that are CD’s, each and every one that gets into my house is well looked after and cared for. So it naturally follows that my hi-fi system has to be top-notch; I don’t just love my music, it HAS to sound the best it possibly can. Three years ago my old Technics separates system was starting to look a little jaded, the cassette deck had given up the ghost and it was time to relegate it to the bedroom. The hunt was on for a replacement but I was very specific when it came to this new purchase. As my old system had given such first rate and long standing performance I was keen and eager to buy another by the same manufacturer. One quick trip into John Lewis and the deed was indeed done... ...I have owned this hi-fi since the beginning of the year and so far nothing has gone wrong however i am cautious. When i first got it i found the cables that came with it were not big enough for my living room so i had to buy some longer ones, so the ease if installation was fairly easy altough required me buy more pay out more. The hi-fi has a 5 disc changer so 5 cds can be in the system at any time which makes it great when your relying on the remote. The disc selection is 5 disc bays on top of one another and when you want to select a certain bay, it physicly moves the cd bay to the reader. I personly dont like leaving 5 discs in the machine at once. I'm not sure if i should be but i am cautoius about changing the disc selection as you can hear the mechanics of the hi-fi working inside. ...This is the great debut album from the Boston boys. This is great rock n roll music and great set-up. Although there are definitely some weak songs, there are also some very strong ones. I don't think that this album is quite what American Hi-Fi describe it as themselves, but it is definitely a good buy. It kind of sounds like the Foo Fighters would have done if Dave Grohl hadn't been in Nirvana. It's lacking something, but I'm sure this could be easily cured by experience. Surround; Flavor Of The Weak; A Bigger Mood; Safer On The Outside; I'm A Fool; Hi-Fi Killer; Blue Day; My Only Enemy; Don't Wait For The Sun; Another Perfect Day; Scar; What About Today; Wall Of Surround- this was a great choice to open up the album. The unit has a main display which when in off mode has a clock. When you switch the unit on it displays the current selected unit, example, CD, Tape, Radio, VCR and AUX. It also displays the volume level when you adjust the volume. The unit has a drop down panel that opens by a motor. Behind the panel are buttons to set the clock, radio, send settings and voice activation. Yes “Voice Activation” is fitted to this hi-fi. ...This is the first and self titled album from the american band American Hi-Fi. I bought this album after just hearing one the singles released from it; "flavour of the weak." When I fist heard this song I couldn't find out who it was by and every time I listened to it on the radio and became more obsessed about finding out who it was! That is how good it was. The sound of the 4 piece from boston is a mix between good old fashioned rock and roll, with a slght indie feel and maybe a slight bit of emo concerning the lyrics. If you were to compare them to any other bands you are probably looking at nickleback or muddle of mud. Although American Hi-Fi are a MUCH better version of these. ...few of them are able to be powered by batteries, so aren't portable. When I stumbled across the official Apple iPod HiFi on the on-line Apple Store, I was intrigued. It looked the BUSINESS, it took batteries and it was made by Apple, so probably had a good sound. At £200 it was a slight more expensive than a lot of other options, but I had confidence in Apple to put something together that would do my music justice. I couldn't find a local retailer with one in stock to have a listen to so it was something of a leap of faith. Weighing in at a hefty 8kg, it's a heavy old thing - heavier than I expected (not having read the small print on the website). This heaviness is not without reason though, it is extremely solid in its construction which means there's no rattling, and squeaking or unwanted flexing that would otherwise spoil... Read review

...Sitting on the Steps on the Student Union, falling asleep on my friends, I wonder whether this gig is going to be upbeat enough to keep me awake. At 8:20pm, an hour after the doors opened the support act for American Hi-fi wander onto the tiny area that calls itself a stage at the Hop&Grape. The people around me murmur in confusion that they think the five figures on stage claim to be "Hell is for Heroes." You can tell from the confusion that I am not the only one that has never heard of this band before. However, they kick off with some up-tempo pop/punk riff that gets the crowd of average age 16 bouncing up and down on their little sweaty, stinky feet.
