...Technics 1200 / 1210 what more can you say its the number one DJ turntable on the planet. For years and years when i was younger just geting in to Djing all i wanted was a pair of technics. after a few years with other direct drive decks i finally saved enough money to buy a pair i of technics, i bought the SL1200Mk2 because they were silver i did not like the brown of the 1210 much. i have read around and talked to people and aparently the only difference between the 1200 and the 1210 is the colour. I set up my new 1200s and got the tunes out. Wow what a turntable, after years of trying out all other types of direct drive turntables i could instantly see and feel the difference in build quality. the technics weight alot compared to any other turntable, this is because the bottom black base you see is not made of cheap moulded...

Review of technics 1210's deejay tuntables

Advantages: proven track record, strong motor, good for club or bedroom deejay extremely robust
Disadvantages: I dont see many although some people may want to change the look of the turntable

...Recently the 1210's from technics have been under seige for the number one spot. they have been industry standard for over thirty years and every1 knows when you at the top you always have someone waiting for you to make your mistake. So Its unfortunate for the competition that technics dont really do mistakes and they are number one for a reason. They are not much to look at but the build quality and durability are out of this world, words cannot describe how smooth these turntables feel at your fingertips, i personaly have had 2 sets in the past the mark 3's and the mark 2's i own today ( my original decks are still going strong being used by a friend who bought them when i needed space ) They sell from anywhere between 500 to 600 pounds each brand new or you can pick up a second hand pair for below 600 pound. ...when i bought my 1210's i never thought they would become the first thing i woul grab if my house set on fire! they are basically my babies!! they look sexy, they feel sexy and they will keep that beat forever. As soon as you start up a 1210 you know you have something special, no deck keeps a beat aswell as the technics 1210, is durability is awesome aswell, ive had mine for 12 years and they havent needed a service, repair or anything go wrong with it. Choose between 33 and 45 rpm, the pitch control goes from -10 to +10 and moves very smoothly and easily. The arm is very nice and slips on the record with ease and has the weight on the back so you can adjust it accordingly to suit yourself. It comes with a pop up light so you can see the record grooves in the dark and the speed of the turntable. The sound quality is top notch...

Advantages: Durability, Image, Usability, Layout, Strength, Power
Disadvantages: Price (But you can work around this), Some say demise of vinyl (I dont agree)

Lego Technic Combine Harvester

Advantages: Looks so cool! Fun to assemble
Disadvantages: Don't misplace any pieces!

...putting all the parts on either a tray or in boxes. There are 2 instruction booklets to follow to make the combine harvester, which is a total of 113 pages. The really cool thing about lego technic is that you usually get 2 sets of instructions to make two different models so that you can choose which one you want to make. Not only can you make a combine harvester but also included in the box is instructions to make a Dragster (I'm not entirely sure what this is, but it looks a lot like some kind of racing car!) you can't make both of them at the same time though, there are only enough parts to build either one or the other. We have only made the Combine Harvester. Once assembled all of the parts were really secure and nothing was falling off. I reckon that you could play with this easily and quite aggressively without anything...

...The Technics SL1210 (and it's nearly identical twin the 1200) has remained the industry standard for DJ's practically since it's release...ongoing demand has meant Technics threaten to stop production every twelve months; when the protests flood in they 'give in gracefully', but justify another price hike by blaming product sourcing or something. But the 1210 is the king of turntables for many reasons, and still holds it's crown with ease. For a start, just from a hi-fi point of view, the 1210 is a superb piece of kit. I personally do not know the relevent technical figures, but my hi-fi enthusiast friends can quote them with ease, as most of them agree on the superiority of the 1210 and own one themselves. ...Technics. Ask most DJs what there dream is and somewhere along the line it will involve Technics. The SL1210MK2 is the industry standard record deck, for a very good reason. They have excellent build quality and will survive even the toughest tests, essential for club use. The tonearm assembly is of the highest quality and as a result the sound output is beautiful. The direct drive motor has high torque and will start almost instantly and stop just as quickly. Technics decks are the most reliable and nicest feeling record decks I have ever used. Everything on them feels like quality, and is. Because of the relatively high price, these are probably not the best choice for amature DJs, although there is nobody who these won't be suited to these. Any type of mixing is possible....
