Technics CD Micro HiFi System
Review of Technics SC-HD 350 by
jala
Advantages: Modern simple design. Interchangeable unit arrangement. Remote. Very good quality sound output. Linkable to PC.
Disadvantages: Bass & Treble controls slightly basic.
...Technics SC-HD350 Micro HiFi System
I spent some time looking for the right stereo system. I wanted a Micro system but with separate units. I eventually decided upon the Technics SC-HD350 Micro HiFi system, because it was the only one that was both affordable and stylish (in my opinion). The technics system, I feel, is in a class of it's own, as the style is very much like many of the better known separate micro systems, but is much cheaper.
The Amplifier
The system's sound quality very good. I was used to using an amplifier, so I knew what sound quality I should expect. I was not disappointed by the sound at all. The amplifier unit is capable of sound reproduction in the range of -76 to 0dB (decibels). 0 dB is VERY loud, while -76 is virtually silent.
The amplifier has bass and treble controls, in the form of buttons...

Stylish and Technical
Review of Technics SC-DV 290 by
peteyl
Advantages: Brilliant sound quality
Disadvantages: A lot of trust in electronics
...a station which is broadcasting news and weather on FM, then go back to your music once its finished. This is ideal if you live in a built up city with many radio stations but not so good if you live in a more rural area, although it is only a minor point.
Using it is really easy, all of the buttons are pretty much self explanitry, theres just the odd button i have to fin in the instruction manual - it covers all of them.
As i said nothing has gone wrong so i maybe i am wrong not to trust electronics, technics does have a fantastic reputation with audio equiptment so its probably very reliable. Its a fantastic piece of kit, its stylish and looks worth more than the price so its something to show of about....

Dell Poweredge SC1425
Review of Dell PowerEdge SC1425 SATA by
bagoproverbial
Advantages: Thin, not too heavy, reliable
Disadvantages: Manufacturer support not great
...First off, I ought to qualify this review by telling you a little about how much I've done and messed about with the Poweredge SC1425 servers. My company bought eight of them around a year ago, and since then, I've been solely responsible for integrating them into our infrastructure ("sticking them in the server room" for those now looking blankly at the screen).
In so doing, these servers have therefore been taken apart, put back together, had various operating systems installed on that, have been racked up, unracked, moved around various physical locations, had upgrades and all manner of other things done to them- so in short, hopefully I'm well qualified to make more than a passing judgement about them.
First things first. Take the server out of the box and what do you get... a thin (1U, which is roughly a couple of inches...

T Bone SC300 *This is not a shure mic*
Review of T.Bone SC300 by
HxCHarry
Advantages: Very Cheap, Low self noise, reasonable tone
Disadvantages: Not many for the price.
...To start with, this has been listed incorrectly. It is not a Shure mic, it's part of the T.Bone range by Thomman.
Price: £20
Microphone Type: Back-Electret
Fequency Range: 40Hz-18kHz
Polar Pattern: Super Cardioid
Link: http://www.thomann.de/thoiw2thetbonesc300prodinfo.html
Comes with foam padded plastic case and mic stand holder as pictured.
To start with, if you're looking to record but you're on a tight budget. This mic is great. Most cheap dynamic mics cost around about this. And for general recording, this far surpasses them.
In case anyone isn't familiar with back-electret microphones, I'll very quickly explain about them (but not the technicalities of how they work. For a description of how most microphones work internally please see http://www.band-101.net/mic1.html ) They work in a similar fashion to condenser...

Bought Technice SC-DV290 from duck.co.cuk
Review of Duck.co.uk by
FaisalYaqoob
Advantages: Low price, quick & easy order, quick delivery
Disadvantages: Long waits for customer service
...Excellent experience, highly recommended store.
I wanted to buy a Technics DVD Mini Component System SCDV-290. All well-known stores had only ex-display models whereas I wanted to buy a brand new one. Even on the kelkoo the cheapest price offer was £353.00, but they were offering the same product for £279.00 and guess what only £3.95 for delivery. Wasn't that a great offer? As with anybody, I got confused and went on reading reviews about duck.co.uk and finding negative reviews I dropped the idea of buying from them. But later I noticed that the negative reviews only complained about late delivery. OK, so price is good, product is good delivery is late. Can I live with late delivery if I get the item for £70 less??? Why not? So, I ordered on Wednesday about 4:00pm. And guess what, I got the delivery on Friday at about 3:00pm. Wow...

SUPERSONIC PANASONIC NOT QUITE BUT IT SOUNDS GOOD
Review of Panasonic SC-HT 75 by
junkboxjules
Advantages: Stores up to 5 DVD's/CD's at a time, Allows you to mark up to five places on the DVD to return to later, Good quality sound and well known manufacturer
Disadvantages: You have to purchase a SCART lead before you can use the DVD Home Cinema System as it is not included within the package
...About a year ago my husband was lucky enough to win a Panasonic SC-HT70 All In One Home Theater Package in a National Competition. Until this point we didn't have a DVD player and we were absolutely thrilled to bits with our prize when it arrived and from that day forward we began to purchase DVD's in place of videos.
Some of you may know that earlier this year, in June, we returned home from holiday to find that our house had been burgled and that amongst lots of other valuable and precious items the Panasonic SC-HT70 had been stolen. Unfortunately when it came to sorting out the insurance claim the Panasonic SC-HT70 was no longer being stocked by the supplier who was to replace the Home Theater and we were offered an alternative, being the Panasonic SC-HT70 replacement model the Panasonic SC-HT75 and it is this product that I...

Scan Sc2000
Review of Scan SC-2000 by
gerschwin
Advantages: Value,quality,multiregion
Disadvantages: Subtitles bug
...I recently bought a Scan SC2000 DVD player from Scan for £189 – it arrived next day as promised and was easily set up straight from the box with no problems – all a good start! The cables they supplied were a Svideo and an ariel which can get you started straight away but if you want an RGB connection you will have to buy a Scart cable.
Macrovision was easily overridden by using a simple remote hack kindly written in the user manual.
Picture quality was quite good with nice colours and no signs of artifacting – some people have reported that the picture is poor and there is lots of artifacting! Sound was clear and crisp (I connected it surround sound through my stereo amp). The remote control was a breeze to use with all the needed buttons gathered together in the middle so that it is easy to operate even in the dark.
I tested...

Swan SC2002
Review of Swan SC2002 by
Viviana1
Advantages: Light; powerful; easy to carry; works well on all surfaces
Disadvantages: Pipe and brush head a bit flimsy
...I wish I could find another one of these. I bought one about 5 years ago and it is the most powerful and handy little cleaner I have ever had. (And I\'ve had quite a few in my search, I can tell you.) The only thing I didn\'t find comfortable was the pipe and brush head, which I quite easily exchanged with my old hoover.
My helper has just cleaned our neighbour\'s house with this little Swan and she has a white cat, red carpet, a loft extention and lots of stairs. When she came home she said she\'s never seen it looking so good and her precious Dyson is on its way out and she is on the search for a Swan Sc2002.
OK it\'s not built to clean mansions, but it is most excellent for stairs. It is light, powerful and easy to use. Another advantage is that you can get disposable bags or stick with the two washable ones which come with it...

PANASONIC SC-PM10: SOUND-MAKER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Review of Panasonic SC-PM10 Micro HiFi System by
Puma1000
Advantages: Price/Quality/Compact
Disadvantages: Few and far between, well none yet.
...---Overview---
With so many brands and so many micro Hi-Fi's for each brand I decided to take a bit of gamble and choose one on the almost absolute recommendation of the sales advisor in Comet. Panasonic, one of my most trusted brands was to provide me with my next Micro Hi-Fi the SC-PM10. Similar in size to any micro Hi-Fi today it came with the trendy minimalist look and shiny metalic front and modest LCD screen.
---Price---
Although you can get many micro Hi-Fi systems for around £100 I was quite pleased to be able to get this particular brand at £109.99. Satisfied in the reliability of the Panasonic brand, I felt I had got a decent machine at a very affordable price and which had some more advanced features (CD rewriter) to keep me going unitl I needed to upgrade to something more with the times.
---Quality...

Earlex SC165 Combisteam Cleaning Kit
Review of Earlex SC165 Combisteam Cleaning Kit by
smcccc
Advantages: Inexpensive and saves a lot of otherwise hard work.
Disadvantages: Overfill .....and boiling water may squirt or spill out when moving around.
...I remember my mum having an Earlex steam cleaner, but not as exstensive as this one, that one only had a few parts, the part I remember most was the wallpaper stripper because there was always a family member or friend who wanted to borrow it , that's how popular it was!
The Earlex SC165 Combi has many more parts, 8 to be precise,
I've owned my a steamer for about 5 years now and have used it extensively indoors and outdoors and to be honest I would be lost without it as it saves a lot of hard work making cleaning a lot easier.
Steam is a natural cleaner which loosens dirt and grease making cleaning a lot easier minimising or even eliminating the use of chemicals found in household cleaners.
This steamer is designed to clean carpets, flooring, windows and tiling ect..................
First of all the boiler has a 4.5 litre...
