...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store. It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use. The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour. The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes. The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy... Read review

Advantages: reliable, economic, likeable
Disadvantages: turning circle hell

...I have to admit that I have had a soft spot for Peugeots or “Puggets” since I first started driving 7yrs ago. I learnt to drive in a 504 pick-up and till last Christmas had an old 205GLD. In January this year I sadly was forced to put my old 205, my faithful “Puggie” into retirement and replace it with a 106XN 1.0L K reg. (92) 3 door hatchback. I was in slightly reluctant to get a 106, but a good friend spoke so highly about them I decided to give one a try. I desperately needed to get a car that was cheap to run, insure, tax, and at the same time reliable, and I can honestly say that the 106XN fits all of these categories. ...OK a bad title! I tried to make it rhyme! I have written an opinion on a 106 before, this went into the general Peugeot 106 category, it was a Mardi Gras, this new car we have is an independence as you can see. I will be talking about the car in general, and comparing it to the old 106 as well. I have driven this new car of ours for a couple of months now, and, dispite my initial reactions, I have now got used to it, as you do, and now I can only praise it! Now, this is a three door 106, the old one was a five door, and this makes such a difference. The new 106 has, bigger side doors to allow people to get in easier, and seems very big inside in comparison. Advantages: Cheap to run, cheaky looks, Pokey engine

...I have owned my little pug 106 indepence with 37,000 miles and one previous owner now for about 8 months and in that time i have great fun, i have also managed to come up with the following reveiw Exterior: Mine is apparently silver so pugeot say but i feel it is more a bluey silver, htis colour i feel suits the car showing its cheaky curves off well. The car is proportioned just right the overhangs at the front and rear are small and tidy and even though it doesnt boast such a sporting exterior as the gti or quicksilver models it shows indiviualtiy in the range and is loveable in its own right. Mine has colour coded bumpers which i feel make the car look alot younger than it actually is (2001) and the sun roof is great on those summer evenings also i love the rear opening quarter windows which most new cars such as the corsa... Advantages: Cheap, Handles Well
Disadvantages: Pretty Megre Performace, Saxo owners will laugh at you....

..., my Fiesta's didn't seem this much work to get into! I sat down in the car, and after a few minutes of finding a good driving position, I pushed by foot onto the clutch, which was very snappy, and felt nearly as heavy and manly as my 306 diesel, I reached behind my to pull my seatbelt on, and well…… I yelped in paid, and swore, and cursed the little car I was secretly desperate to drive, I had a stabbing pain in my shoulder, caused by flexing something that I shouldn't of, the 106 seatbelts take a little getting used to, as they appear to be a fair way behind the driver, as odd as that sounds, owners will know what I mean. The angle to reach back and grasp them I'm sure could make putting them on a bit of a job for some people, clearly I am one of them. After putting my seatbelt on, waiting needlessly for the non... ...The compact 106 is definitely a car for the ladies. I got my red 106 Look+ 1.1 as my first car when I was 17. Although I have a new car now, 3 years on it had never let me down. ~:Body:~ The cute three door hatchback is satisfactory enough for anyone after a car that gets them from A to B. The bumpers aren't colour coded as they are in newer models and although the hubcaps are good, alloys would be better. But this is the reason it comes so cheap. ~:Price:~ The car was bought for me at £4,500 in 1999. It is an R reg so was nearly new. At present I am trying to sell it for £2,750 (anyone interested contact me) so unfortunately, this car decreases in value quickly. In terms of consumption, this car is very economical. I live in London and go to Uni in Loughborough (120 miles approx). I could get there and back on one tank... Read review

...My mum has owned a 106 1.4 automatic for over 3 years now. The car has proved extremely reliable and very satisfying to run, despite a few niggles. The pedal box, for example, is extremely small and the pedals are very close together (even with only 2 pedals in the auto version). This makes driving difficult for those with big feet, or even those with medium feet and wide shoes! The wings are also very easy to dent, as proved by several dings from supermarket car parks. The car has a drivers airbag, power steering and central locking, but no electric windows or air conditioning. The car isn't amazingly quick, but for a small engine and automatic gearbox the performance is not bad. Fuel economy is reasonable too; expect around 30mpg on short runs. The car looks good from the outside, with body coloured bumpers and an aggressive nose... Read review

...I have now owned my blue peugeot 106 1.1i XL Independence for over a year. It is the 1997 'R' reg model. As it was my first car i found it very easy and comfortable to drive and as a new driver i didn't mind how slow or how fast my car went, which is why i went for a 1.1 litre engine. I paid £1000 for it and it had 58,000miles on the clock and its exterior was perfect! (it was £1500 but i knew the person selling it!...always a bonus!) During my time owning this i have had some things go wrong, such as run down battery, snapped throttle cable, spare wheel bracket falling off, airbag light constantly flashing and some lights in the dashboard failing. ...i have owned my 106 for 3 years now and its great I have very little to complain about. The year of manufacturer is 2001 on mine. The insurance and tax are low which is always a bonus. And so far touch wood nothing has gone wrong with the car. It comes with mobilizer, electric windows, CD player, Power steering, driver and passenger air bags. One of the down points is it doesn't have air con as standard but this can be added to the car. In terms of speed I'm quite impressed it pulls away ok and gets up to speed pretty quickly. Inside the car everything is small which is ok except I'm a bloke so have big feet. Sometimes when I'm braking I put my left foot on the clutch ok but as I use my right foot to brake it sometimes catches the accelerator and revs the car. I've never crashed the car so not sure who strong the body... Read review
