Advantages: Program Guide really clear and simple, quite good features

...I have been using Freeview for a while now with a single set top box and as with many other people I was getting fed up that I couldn't record two digital channels or even record one and watch another. My solution to this problem was to look into the growing range of personal video recorders PVR's that are coming onto the market. The guidelines for my purchase were that I wanted to have a twin tuner which would allow recording of 2 digital channels and I also wanted to keep to a budget of £120 max. Be careful here as not all twin tuner recorders will let you record 2 programs at the same time. The Technika one does but many record one channel whilst you watch another. Unfortunately my budget ruled out Humax and Topfield which most people seem to think are the best as they are about £160+. I bought the Technika about a week ago... Read review

...I have seen video senders (used to send video and audio wirelessly between devices) from years ago and they were expensive and not very reliable, with picture break up being common. Also most were unable to control the sending device using a remote. Whilst browsing round my local Tesco I happened across the Technika AV104 video senders at just under £20 a pair. ...any channels that are yet not to look perfect. The screen text size for teletext and TV Guide are large and so you don't need to be close to still read the screen. Sound Quality Excellent! The best way to really experience the sound is to put the TV on a music channel, put on Dual 2 sound and sit back! The sound quality is perfect to me! There are multiple different sound options; I find having the sound quality High is the best setting. Installation Well it took about 10minutes from opening the box to sitting back and watching. It pre installs the channels for you; pre installs all settings for colour/brightness and sound. All you need to do is hold that remote control patiently for a few minutes! Remote Control Looks a bit cheap but has all the TV function buttons available on it. Overall, a perfect buy and I am glad I waited... Read review

...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store. It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use. The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour. The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes. The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy to be wall... ...Pod and when not being used there is a little dust cover that snaps into place. Other functions include an AM/FM radio with presets and a CD player which supports Mp3. The display shows the number of tracks and the album names but it does not show the track names for some strange reason. There are no inputs or outputs for any other types of media player but there is an earphone socket. This is a 2.1 system with two 10w speakers and a 20w subwoofer. Not the loudest you've heard but adequate as a second system for the kitchen or bedroom. The preset equalizer gives you Pop, Rock, Classic, Jazz and Passive. There is also a bass boost button for that extra oomph. No separate bass/treble controls. The front of the system has mesh grill covered speakers and above is a brushed aluminium control panel. Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

...and ahhing over whether this was the most foolish purchasing decision ever I threw caution to the wind and handed over a crisp £5 note. The change, being conveniently in coppers, went into my Round-the-World penny jar. Every little helps, as they say. ~~The vital statistics~~ Price: £4.97 Size: 8 ½ cm by 2 cm Colour: Like the famous Model T you can have any colour, as long as it's black. Memory: 256 MB. On the front of the pack it helpfully tells you this is enough to hold roughly 80 songs in case you are not an MP3 enthusiast who knows about these things- a fairly safe bet if you are buying your MP3 from a supermarket for under a fiver. Mine is full and has only 62 tracks on but maybe they are big ones.... Buttons: There are 3, plus a big shiny circle on the front which looks like a button, but has no function as far as I can tell. ...Having moved to an area which receives digital radio (but not digital TV!) i decided it was time to take the plunge. I went to my local Tesco and saw this for around £35. Considering at the time most digital radios were £50 i didn't expect anything amazing from this one. It has a strong, well made wooden surround and silver facia. I like this design, it reminds me of the Pure Evoke range that i used to sell when i was in retail. I plugged it in and it automatically sorted the date and time for me. This happens everytime you turn it on, unless you keep it plugged in all the time - i don't. It found the available radio stations really quickly, so within 2 minutes of taking it out of the box it was on and working well. ...better on speakers, the quality is even better than the head phones. A lot of the players come with a clip to fix on or no clip, this one comes with a clip attached and its very tough, I put it on my waist band and moved around and it didn't even budge, so this is ideal for my son while using it in school, because he would know if it wasn't there. It is very easy to use, it comes with a small disc for your computer and is easy to understand on how to add songs to your player, that easy my son was shown once and he does it now, finding the music on your mp3 is easy to, it has files where your music is stored in to album, alphabet or no name songs.
