Technika Television
Review of Technika LCD19DVDID-107 by  Hsaxo

Advantages: Compact, Stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly slow software

...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store. It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use. The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour. The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes. The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy... Read review

Freeview recording if you can't afford a Humax
Review of Technika AED-TR 160 S 7 by  AlistairBirch

Advantages: Program Guide really clear and simple, quite good features
Disadvantages: No series link, not the most energy efficient box.

...I have been using Freeview for a while now with a single set top box and as with many other people I was getting fed up that I couldn't record two digital channels or even record one and watch another. My solution to this problem was to look into the growing range of personal video recorders PVR's that are coming onto the market. The guidelines for my purchase were that I wanted to have a twin tuner which would allow recording of 2 digital channels and I also wanted to keep to a budget of £120 max. Be careful here as not all twin tuner recorders will let you record 2 programs at the same time. The Technika one does but many record one channel whilst you watch another. Unfortunately my budget ruled out Humax and Topfield which most people seem to think are the best as they are about £160+. I bought the Technika about a week... Read review

"Snap" up a Bargain!
Review of Technika SH-7065 7MP Digital Camera by  lel1969

Advantages: A decent camera for a low budget or beginner
Disadvantages: None

...It was my daughter's 11th birthday recently and, as is usual, she had to decide what she wanted to do with her birthday money, of course, saving it up is too boring! She decided to buy herself a digital camera as she was getting fed up having to use mine!! I had the job of finding a suitable one for her on the internet. Her stipulations were that it had to be "a good one", it had to be black and she didn't want to spend more than £50, oh yes, and it had to be delivered within 2 days as she couldn't wait until the weekend to go into town for one! I set to work trawling the internet trying to find what I thought would be the best deal for her, remembering that she is only 11 and still doesn't really appreciate the monetary value of things and that digital cameras are really quite fragile pieces of technology. So many cameras with so... Read review

Sky in every room
Review of Technika AV 104 AV Sender by  scarymonkey

Advantages: Has remote return facility
Disadvantages: Doesn't like other wireless devices

...I have seen video senders (used to send video and audio wirelessly between devices) from years ago and they were expensive and not very reliable, with picture break up being common. Also most were unable to control the sending device using a remote. Whilst browsing round my local Tesco I happened across the Technika AV104 video senders at just under £20 a pair. What comes in the box One AV transmitter base One AV receiver base Two AC Power adapters (Plugin block type) Two Scart to 2 RCA phono cables (1 for transmit and 1 for receive) One Infra Red extender cable - capable of supporting 3 different devices. User Manual Specification - taken from the supplied manual Operating Frequency - 2.4GHz to 2.4835GHz (4 selectable channels) Modulation - FM Video Level (in and out) - 1 V p-p @ 75ohm Audio Level (in and out) - 1 V... MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Technika MP3 player by  tumblebiscuit

Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

...umming and ahhing over whether this was the most foolish purchasing decision ever I threw caution to the wind and handed over a crisp £5 note. The change, being conveniently in coppers, went into my Round-the-World penny jar. Every little helps, as they say. ~~The vital statistics~~ Price: £4.97 Size: 8 ½ cm by 2 cm Colour: Like the famous Model T you can have any colour, as long as it's black. Memory: 256 MB. On the front of the pack it helpfully tells you this is enough to hold roughly 80 songs in case you are not an MP3 enthusiast who knows about these things- a fairly safe bet if you are buying your MP3 from a supermarket for under a fiver. Mine is full and has only 62 tracks on but maybe they are big ones.... Buttons: There are 3, plus a big shiny circle on the front which looks like a button, but has no function as far as I... DVD-104 is a good buy if you can get it cheap.
Review of Technika DVD104 by  riblet

Advantages: Rock solid reliability, okay looks, good selection of output sockets.
Disadvantages: Awful remote, only 2.0 sound, lacking some newer features.

...DVD has all but replaced VHS Videos these days. And while two competing technologies attempt to catch our eye for the 'next generation' high definition DVD technology, there is still plenty of time for the regular DVD yet. The Technika DVD-104 is a fairly basic DVD player. It's somewhat lacking in more high end features, such as DivX, mp3, or 5.1 surround support. But what it does do, it does well. First off, appearances. This unit is the usual all width and no height affair. With only six function buttons and one power button along the front, the remote is vital. The front of the unit is the usual reflective plastic affair, with the display and infrared sensor to the right and various logos splattered around the place to make the unit look more posh, it's "just another DVD player" in that department, but it fits in well with my... Radio of the future
Review of Technika DAB-206 by  cooldude28

Advantages: Sound, quality, features, presets, technology, design
Disadvantages: None

...brand name. The Technika logo. Under this are five small silver buttons, the same colour as the handle and the other buttons on the radio. The five buttons are the smallest buttons on the radio, and are easy to touch each one, despite being having a few millimetres distance between each one. They are all numbered and underneath is the word "Presets". This is a clever part of the radio, which I will explain more about later. And next to your preset buttons oyu have a big standby button, the biggest button on the radio. It has the usual power symbol engraved into it, so there are no stickers that are going to become lost or confusion over which buttons are which. Under the preset buttons you have three more buttons, from the left are "Display Info", "Menu", and "DAB/FM". Under these three buttons are the last three buttons on the radio... Read review

Is this the Perfect Budget MP3 Player?
Review of Matsui MAT120MR 2GB by  callancool

Advantages: Great Sound Quality, Easy To Use
Disadvantages: Reliability

...The Mp3 player phenomenon has gripped the world. Wherever you go, you can't fail to spot people wearing those 'Inner Ear' headphones, (or ear buds as they're now called). However, where you used to see a large Walkman or personal CD player slotted over someone's belt, Mp3 players are so tiny and discreet, that you can't tell which model it is unless the listener is holding it in his hands. Consequently, you're left wondering if their player has a larger memory than yours, or if it's an expensive I Pod, or a budget Alba model from Argos. Unless you ask them, you'll never know. Apple I-Pod's, as you no doubt are aware, are ridiculously expensive, whilst the bottom of the range players may only come with 256 or 512 MB memory. Indeed, supermarket giant Tesco are currently selling it's own brand Technika 256 MB players for a mere £4... Read review

Basic Earphones From Basicville, Planet Basic
Review of Technika MP3-11 by  bigush

Advantages: Cheap with anti-tangle device
Disadvantages: Not strong enough for strangling bus lunatics.

...Why does the lunatic always sit next to me on the bus, and why do they always speak to me? This is where the MP3 player and, in particular these headphones, come into their own. I know everyone says that but in my case it's true, honest! It is especially pertinent to me because I don't drive and have to get the Trawscambria bus from South Wales to Aberystwyth on a regular basis. It's a three and a half hour journey the latter half of which is serious lunatic country. You really need to be able to point to your headphones and shout "I can't hear you Mr. Lunatic-with-a-dog-on-a-string!" I recently bought an MP3 player from Tescos to this purpose for £12.97. Yes I am a cheapskate. I promptly loaded it with a mixture of AC/DC and Charles Trenet and just as promptly lost the earphones. The player was Technika so I thought I'd better get... Read review
