DVD-104 is a good buy if you can get it cheap.
Review of Technika DVD104 by
riblet
Advantages: Rock solid reliability, okay looks, good selection of output sockets.
Disadvantages: Awful remote, only 2.0 sound, lacking some newer features.
...DVD has all but replaced VHS Videos these days. And while two competing technologies attempt to catch our eye for the 'next generation' high definition DVD technology, there is still plenty of time for the regular DVD yet.
The Technika DVD-104 is a fairly basic DVD player. It's somewhat lacking in more high end features, such as DivX, mp3, or 5.1 surround support. But what it does do, it does well.
First off, appearances. This unit is the usual all width and no height affair. With only six function buttons and one power button along the front, the remote is vital. The front of the unit is the usual reflective plastic affair, with the display and infrared sensor to the right and various logos splattered around the place to make the unit look more posh, it's "just another DVD player" in that department, but it fits in well with my...

Technika Television
Review of Technika LCD19DVDID-107 by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Compact, Stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly slow software
...to be wall mounted, with standard mounting holes to fit most brackets. The Technika also has the outstanding idea of having the freeview service and dvd player built in making it very convinent and a good all in one.
The remote is a good size and the buttons are easy to understand and you don't have to be really close to the television for it to work like with some remotes, it will quite easily work from the other side of the room.
The instruction manual was also easy to understand all though this was hardly needed as the television was so easy to set up.
We purchased ours from our local Tesco supermarket for £279 which i concider a very good price for the television with built in DVD and Freeview.
The cable has a good lenth to it making it easy to place where you want it and still be able to reach the plug socked without masses...

Freeview recording if you can't afford a Humax
Review of Technika AED-TR 160 S 7 by
AlistairBirch
Advantages: Program Guide really clear and simple, quite good features
Disadvantages: No series link, not the most energy efficient box.
...hours of TV which is fine for me and my family.
When I looked into the different products I found http://www.ricability-digitaltv.org.uk/pages/products/digitaltvs/index.asp ?Product=Technika%20AEDTR160S7 useful to compare similar products although this site states that this box has series link which I can't seem to find or get working. This is a nice to have facility as it allows you to record an entire series by just setting it to record once rather than repeatedly for each episode.
There are some more toys within the system like picture in picture and you can simply archive recordings off to video or DVD. Pausing live TV is simple, if you are watching a program and you are interupted you can press pause and it will store up to 2 hours of TV. Pressing play later resmes where the story left off. If you are just watching a program...

Great value TV
Review of Technika LCD-19-907 by
laramax
Advantages: Excellent value, good range of features
Disadvantages: Little known manufacturer
....
What do you get for your money?
The Technika LCD 19-907 is a basic 19" LCD TV with built in Freeview (they do a version with a built in DVD which is a little dearer but that wasn't what I wanted). It has a built in stand which you can remove if you are mounting it on a wall bracket like I was, however if, like me, you have a Wii then it is worth leaving the stand in place as it makes a convenient place to site the sensor bar!
The surround to the screen is a smart black colour and the speakers are mounted below the screen which was important to me as I didn't want any extra width. The ON/OFF switch and volume controls etc are mounted down the right hand side and the connections for the aerial and SCART are on the rear facing downwards. There is just one SCART socket which I do think is a drawback when you want to connect...

Sky in every room
Review of Technika AV 104 AV Sender by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Has remote return facility
Disadvantages: Doesn't like other wireless devices
...I have seen video senders (used to send video and audio wirelessly between devices) from years ago and they were expensive and not very reliable, with picture break up being common. Also most were unable to control the sending device using a remote. Whilst browsing round my local Tesco I happened across the Technika AV104 video senders at just under £20 a pair.
What comes in the box
One AV transmitter base
One AV receiver base
Two AC Power adapters (Plugin block type)
Two Scart to 2 RCA phono cables (1 for transmit and 1 for receive)
One Infra Red extender cable - capable of supporting 3 different devices.
User Manual
Specification - taken from the supplied manual
Operating Frequency - 2.4GHz to 2.4835GHz (4 selectable channels)
Modulation - FM
Video Level (in and out) - 1 V p-p @ 75ohm
Audio Level (in and out) - 1 V...

Stunning little 256mb MP3 player for under £5
Review of Technika MP3 player by
DragonflyWales
Advantages: Price, Simple to use, Quality
Disadvantages: Minimal features
...I have been debating whether to splash out on an mp3 player for quite some time now but always seemed to have something else to spend the money on so had not purchased one until now.
While picking up some essentials I spotted the Technika MP-906 mp3 player which Tesco are currently retailing for £4.97 and so decided that at under £5 what the hell.
I have to say it is probably the best £5 I have ever spent. For this price you don't expect much and so I was expecting a lightweight flimsy feeling piece of kit, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
The first thing you notice when you remove the player from the packaging is the quality feel of the player. Not the flimsy plastic I was expecting but a solid plastic with a soft rubbery texture that is incredibly comfortable to hold.
The styling of the player is very smooth...

MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Technika MP3 player by
tumblebiscuit
Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!
...it in case anyone was stuck wondering why it didn't work.
~~Music Quality~~
I have to say I'm not fussy about these things so can't give you an in depth analysis. I could hear the songs fine and there was no hissing or background noise.
~~Disadvantages~~
Now I don't mean to be fussy, obviously this is probably the cheapest MP3 player you will ever buy, but I do have a couple of quibbles.
~Locking~
I came to throw my new player in my bag as per usual and realized there is no way of locking it. As I tend to carry mine round with me all day I am used to locking it so that if you accidentally press the buttons it won't switch on. The Technika has no way of doing this so I have to make sure I don't knock the off button while I'm listening to it and then find somewhere safe to put it when I'm not using it. Unfortunately I am...

Basic Earphones From Basicville, Planet Basic
Review of Technika MP3-11 by
bigush
Advantages: Cheap with anti-tangle device
Disadvantages: Not strong enough for strangling bus lunatics.
...Why does the lunatic always sit next to me on the bus, and why do they always speak to me? This is where the MP3 player and, in particular these headphones, come into their own. I know everyone says that but in my case it's true, honest! It is especially pertinent to me because I don't drive and have to get the Trawscambria bus from South Wales to Aberystwyth on a regular basis. It's a three and a half hour journey the latter half of which is serious lunatic country. You really need to be able to point to your headphones and shout "I can't hear you Mr. Lunatic-with-a-dog-on-a-string!"
I recently bought an MP3 player from Tescos to this purpose for £12.97. Yes I am a cheapskate. I promptly loaded it with a mixture of AC/DC and Charles Trenet and just as promptly lost the earphones. The player was Technika so I thought I'd better get...

Radio of the future
Review of Technika DAB-206 by
cooldude28
Advantages: Sound, quality, features, presets, technology, design
Disadvantages: None
...brand name. The Technika logo. Under this are five small silver buttons, the same colour as the handle and the other buttons on the radio. The five buttons are the smallest buttons on the radio, and are easy to touch each one, despite being having a few millimetres distance between each one. They are all numbered and underneath is the word "Presets". This is a clever part of the radio, which I will explain more about later. And next to your preset buttons oyu have a big standby button, the biggest button on the radio. It has the usual power symbol engraved into it, so there are no stickers that are going to become lost or confusion over which buttons are which. Under the preset buttons you have three more buttons, from the left are "Display Info", "Menu", and "DAB/FM". Under these three buttons are the last three buttons on the radio...

When Is a DVD Player Not Just a DVD Player
Review of DIK DVD 339 by
coldzero
Advantages: Plays DivX Xvid , supports DVDr
Disadvantages: older files may not play, Not all DVDr media Guaranteed
...A short note before I start this op, I may get a bit technical during this op, unfortunately its unavoidable with a unit like this , I will do my best to explain everything in detail and provide a review that will have something for the layman and the geek .
DK DivX DVD-339 is one of a new generation of standalone DVD players, it will do everything you expect from a DVD player and if you already have a standalone DVD player and you only intend to play shop bought DVD’s on it then this unit is not for you. The beauty and main selling point of this unit is its ability to be able to play DivX, Xvid and Mpeg4 files from any CDr and DVDr (They do not guarantee support for DVDr because there are so many different types of branded media and burning options, more on that later in op).
‘DK Digital’ makers of this unit are a German...
