Technika Television

Advantages: Compact, Stylish

I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store. It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use. The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour. The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes. ...When I did some work on my kitchen a couple of years ago I decided to install a little LCD TV on a wall bracket so that I could rotate it to watch the TV in the kitchen or the dining area. It worked just fine and the little 15" LCD TV was OK. Well it was until I realised I could also watch the TV out in the conservatory and then, to be honest, the picture just wasn't big enough! I got to thinking that a 19" TV was what was needed and started looking around for something suitable that wouldn't actually break the bank. One day when wandering into TESCO I spotted a big pile of Technika 19" TVs on offer. The price tag said they were reduced from £179.99 to £149.99 and they just seemed too much of a bargain to pass them by. Technika 8" digital photo frame good value for money

...My Mrs wanted me to buy a digital photo frame because our friends have recently got one. So I started to look at the most common 7" frames and then she said they are a bit small. The next one up is 8" but with much less choices. That is not too bad because it is easier to make a decision. It was down to the final two - Tesco's Technika SR08 or the Linx 8" from Amazon. While I was browsing and investigating at my leisure, Amazon suddenly raised the price from £52.43 to £78.28! This makes the Linx too expensive. So I have just bought the Technika SR08 from Tesco Direct for £58.48 instead. The set up was easy - plug and play (well not quite that straight forward, see below). For the picture display the screen resolution is 800 x 600 pixels, better than the Linx DPF. However the manual did not mentio the screen...

A Lovely Purchase with a great picture

Advantages: Great Picture and easy to use
Disadvantages: Volume problems.

...I decided to buy one of these Tesco branded Technika LCD with Built in DVD for my young daughters bedroom, (Yes I know many say a televison shouldn't be placed in bedrooms), I found it easy to use it, as soon as you turn it on, its simply plug and play, if you have an ariel or sky just select the auto button, and by magic all the channels are put into place for you. If you prefer you can manually place them in, I can't see the sense in this, as searching for each channel manually takes upto 10 minutes, when the auto does it for you in under a minute or two. ...what a brilliant tv and pc monitor I bought this as a replacement for my pc monitor but decided that a tv would be good as well. seen Technika in Tesco store and knew that they would replace it if there were any problems. Guess what, need not have worried. Nice wide screen , good colours , good audio just a bloomin good machine. i use it primarily as a monitor but it useful to switch to tv when loading programs or when scanning the pc. It was cheap, but for a widescreen tv with freeview how can you go wrong. I would certainly recommend this tv and will buy Technika goods in the future as they seem to provide such good quality and value for money. Plus you get Tesco clubcard points as well....

BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV

The only trouble was, that being end of line meant that you could not order it for delivery, so I did a search of all my local stores until I found one and we reserved it for collection the next day. My husband came home with the tv, we unpacked it and installed it so easily, it was a dream. The Techinical description of this television in the Argos catalogue is Bush LCD27TV005 27in Widescreen LCD TV. The Argos order number is: 529/2150 and we paid £399.99. From what I have read online, this television was retailing at around £600 originially, but at the moment, all of the LCD televisions seem to be 26 or 30/32 inches, so it looks like they are phasing out the 27" ones.
