Great for the price
Review of Technika DAB-106 by
intelligents
Advantages: cheap, sounds good, easy to use, reception, rivals some radios twice its price, looks good
Disadvantages: no sound adjustments, 'clicky' buttons,
...Having moved to an area which receives digital radio (but not digital TV!) i decided it was time to take the plunge. I went to my local Tesco and saw this for around £35. Considering at the time most digital radios were £50 i didn't expect anything amazing from this one.
It has a strong, well made wooden surround and silver facia. I like this design, it reminds me of the Pure Evoke range that i used to sell when i was in retail.
I plugged it in and it automatically sorted the date and time for me. This happens everytime you turn it on, unless you keep it plugged in all the time - i don't. It found the available radio stations really quickly, so within 2 minutes of taking it out of the box it was on and working well.
The screen has a blue backlight which works well in all light conditions and the display itself is very clear. It tells...

Radio of the future
Review of Technika DAB-206 by
cooldude28
Advantages: Sound, quality, features, presets, technology, design
Disadvantages: None
..., and a very hard plastic. Very nice to have, and to prevent damage. Also, if it does accidently end up on a hard surfaced floor, it could prevent any bad things happening inside the radio. Again, you have your outside border which is the wood material. You have your dots covering one half of the front of the radio, this is where the sound comes out. I've included more about the sound below too. This doesn't look too bad, doesn't look bad in any way at all. To the right of the DAB Radio, you have your small screen. It is the size of a lighter, but more of a rectangle shape. Above this you have the words "DAB DIGITAL RADIO" above it, in small font but the font looks futuristic. the screen is for the details which are shown, electronicly. More details on that also later in the review. Under the small screen, you have your brand name. The Technika logo...

Review of Technika MC-607 by
LawrenceP
Advantages: Everything in one box, Supports the iPod touch.
Disadvantages: At only £40, there are none.
...I bought this a few weeks ago as it had been reduced in price. I chose it because of its extra features that most iPod docks seem to lack, unless of course you are buying a Hi Fi with an iPod dock as an extra.
Once out of the box there isn't much to do except set the clock, tune the radio stations and dock the iPod. I should point out here that I am using the iPod Touch although its not listed on the box or manual as being supported. The MC-607 was probably manufactured before the Touch was available. All other iPod's are supported with the interchangeable cradles supplied.
When you first switch on, iPod is selected by default. There is a button that lets you select the other functions. Using the iPod function will switch on the iPod and you can use the remote to browse its menu's and select tracks. The dock will also charge the i...

Technika Television
Review of Technika LCD19DVDID-107 by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Compact, Stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly slow software
...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store.
It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use.
The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour.
The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes.
The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy to be wall...

Freeview recording if you can't afford a Humax
Review of Technika AED-TR 160 S 7 by
AlistairBirch
Advantages: Program Guide really clear and simple, quite good features
Disadvantages: No series link, not the most energy efficient box.
...I have been using Freeview for a while now with a single set top box and as with many other people I was getting fed up that I couldn't record two digital channels or even record one and watch another. My solution to this problem was to look into the growing range of personal video recorders PVR's that are coming onto the market.
The guidelines for my purchase were that I wanted to have a twin tuner which would allow recording of 2 digital channels and I also wanted to keep to a budget of £120 max. Be careful here as not all twin tuner recorders will let you record 2 programs at the same time. The Technika one does but many record one channel whilst you watch another.
Unfortunately my budget ruled out Humax and Topfield which most people seem to think are the best as they are about £160+.
I bought the Technika about a week ago...

Sky in every room
Review of Technika AV 104 AV Sender by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Has remote return facility
Disadvantages: Doesn't like other wireless devices
...I have seen video senders (used to send video and audio wirelessly between devices) from years ago and they were expensive and not very reliable, with picture break up being common. Also most were unable to control the sending device using a remote. Whilst browsing round my local Tesco I happened across the Technika AV104 video senders at just under £20 a pair.
What comes in the box
One AV transmitter base
One AV receiver base
Two AC Power adapters (Plugin block type)
Two Scart to 2 RCA phono cables (1 for transmit and 1 for receive)
One Infra Red extender cable - capable of supporting 3 different devices.
User Manual
Specification - taken from the supplied manual
Operating Frequency - 2.4GHz to 2.4835GHz (4 selectable channels)
Modulation - FM
Video Level (in and out) - 1 V p-p @ 75ohm
Audio Level (in and out) - 1 V p-p @ 600ohm...
