Radio of the future
Review of Technika DAB-206 by
cooldude28
Advantages: Sound, quality, features, presets, technology, design
Disadvantages: None
...brand name. The Technika logo. Under this are five small silver buttons, the same colour as the handle and the other buttons on the radio. The five buttons are the smallest buttons on the radio, and are easy to touch each one, despite being having a few millimetres distance between each one. They are all numbered and underneath is the word "Presets". This is a clever part of the radio, which I will explain more about later. And next to your preset buttons oyu have a big standby button, the biggest button on the radio. It has the usual power symbol engraved into it, so there are no stickers that are going to become lost or confusion over which buttons are which. Under the preset buttons you have three more buttons, from the left are "Display Info", "Menu", and "DAB/FM". Under these three buttons are the last three buttons on the radio...

Technika Television
Review of Technika LCD19DVDID-107 by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Compact, Stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly slow software
...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store.
It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use.
The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour.
The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes.
The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy...

marcellep
Advantages: Worldwide, Funny, Different, Cool
Disadvantages: None Really
...A real review on real radio 100 to 101 fm
I thought about doing this review for such a long time~ So here goes.
**A little about Real Radio Scotland**
Real radio is Scotland's number one commercial radio station with 649,000 adult listeners per week. Real radio was previously known as Scot Fm until about 5yrs ago when they moved premises and joined a larger radio group called Guardian Media Group Radio which have several of the leading radio stations under there belts including 102.2 jazz fm (London) and 100.4 ( North West England). GMGR is currently applying to OFCOM which is the company that regulates the radio license.
Real radio is based at Glasgow Business park which is about 10/20 minute drive from Glasgow.

Too old for Radio 1, not ready for Radio 2?
Review of BBC Radio 6 by
Womble18
Advantages: Not a slave to the charts, interesting new stuff plus good old stuff too
Disadvantages: Not much hip hop (whether that's a disadvantage is up to you!)
...This is one of the digital radio stations offered by the BBC, so to listen to it you need a DAB radio, a reasonably fast broadband connection to listen via the BBC web site, or a digital TV: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/help/listen.shtml
As well as listening to the current live output via the web site, you can listen to anything produced in the last 7 days. A given programme is usually available to listen to again in this way in a few hours. The web site also has a track listing for each programme, and the listen again web application allows you to fast forward, so you can jump to a particular song with a few button clicks.
That's all the technicalities of listening to it, but is it worth listening to? If you've outgrown Radio 1, find local commercial radio too safe, and aren't quite ready for Radio 2, then the answer is probably...

A reason to go digital - BBC Radio 7
Review of BBC Radio 7 by
AlexWales
Advantages: Excellent mix, fills a clear gap
Disadvantages: Only on digital
...I was going to wait a bit before posting this, but I've been itching to spread the word!
Well, from the category and the title you'll have worked out that BBC7 is one of the BBC's national radio stations. However, I'm guessing that the majority of you haven't heard it yet.
BBC7 launched quietly in mid December 2002 on all the BBC's digital platforms. You can receive it via DAB Digital Radio, Sky, the BBC website or - as I do - from a Freeview digital TV box.
So, what can you hear on BBC7? Well, unlike nearly all the other national stations, it does not play music of any type. Instead, it is entirely speech-based. However, unlike Radio 4 and Radio 5, its purpose is solely for entertainment.
Up till now, Radio 4 has been the place to find BBC Radio comedy and drama. It has given us some excellent programmes: Goodness Gracious...

Metro Radio is the best music
Review of Radio Industry - Metro Radio by
miss_motivator
Advantages: Wide range of music played
Disadvantages: Adverts/ breaks
...Having always listened to Metro Radio, alias Metro FM, i can confirm that it the air play is organized to attract 'all' listeners. Having listened to an alterative radio station for a short time, i reverted back to Metro Radio. I listen to the radio during work hours, and at home. All the presenters are easy on the ear, they dont spend hours talking over the songs and they have excellent competions. Metro Radio holds many of events for teenage listeners and the shows allow you to participate and not just be another listener. I myself won a competion when i was about 14 years old, i won alot of signed CD's. Metro Radio's playlist includes all the latest songs which are topping the charts, however it plays songs of the past which are great to hear. Don't you get sick of listening to 'whats hot in the charts' all the time. I would...

Radio 1 - the best radio station?
Review of BBC Radio 1 by
Mallory
Advantages: The energy and vital comedy which is a must for any great station.
Disadvantages: For me, the dance hour, although this suits some tastes.
...Radio 1 is one of my favourite radio stations - but I'm not saying it doesn't have its bad points. It does play some very good music, but after saying that it also plays some very bad music. For example the dance hour really drives me mad. The noise sounds exactly the same from tune to tune and after I had finished listening to it had a really bad head-ache. But on the other hand who could fault Sara Cox on the breakfast show. Okay, maybe her voice is a bit annoying but I can live with that, she plays top music and never the same song twice in a show. That's what a like about radio 1, the variety, that and the lack of adverts which many local radio stations pile on by the truck load. There is music for all modern tastes. Radio 1 is packed with the energy which any modern radio station needs to survive. It is also very funny...

A radio remote that can't switch the radio on!
Review of Apple iPod Radio Remote by
AJUK
Advantages: Its a remote control
Disadvantages: Doesn't do a lot, very basic, Cant be used to switch that radio on!!!
...I bought this because I wanted to be able to have a radio on my iPod, as it was somthing I was missing during my Minidisc days. However I have to say I am disappointed with this, for a start I think the radio is in the iPod and not the remote, so its a good way for Apple to get £35 off you, and for £35 I would expect something more than this.
The biggest problem is that you can't switch between Music from your iPod and the radio with the radio remote. So if you are going a long listening to some tunes on your iPod, you cant use your "RADIO REMOTE" to switch your RADIO on!! I am not saying it should be overly complicated, but literally all you can do is change tracks, volume and play/pause/stop.
I just couldn't believe that at first it seemed to obvious a feature to leave out. You have to get the iPod out of of your bag or pocket...

Fantastic remote but mediocre radio reception
Review of Apple iPod Radio Remote by
fatboyslim
Advantages: Ease of use, build quality, problem free remote control feature
Disadvantages: Mediocre radio reception, bit expensive I suppose
...First of all; my impression/opinion on the radio function of this is that its mediocre at best. The radio reception can be OK then the next minute it will be crackly, I will also add that I went into the settings on my iPod (which it tells you to do in the radio remote's instruction guide) and choose the correct country for radio frequency purposes, but it didn't make any real difference, so like I have said the radio function for me is mediocre at best.
After plugging in the radio remote, there will be a new menu feature called radio; if you select this and then press and hold the back or forward button, the iPod will tune to the next available radio station, if the signal is strong enough you will receive RDS (this is a feature that shows the station name and other relevant station information). But to be honest my sole reason...
