Technika Television
Review of Technika LCD19DVDID-107 by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Compact, Stylish
Disadvantages: Slightly slow software
...Technika television all though not a very common or well known brand is a exptional product of very high quality. I own and am very pleased with my Technika television that we purchased from our local Tesco store.
It was easy to install with auto setu so it's basically plug it in and it's all ready to use.
The quality of picture is very good and does not have any reflections from the sun shining on it that i have found very irritating when you are trying to watch something on other brand of televisions. The picture is sharp and well contrasted with brilliant colour.
The sound is also very high quality never fuzzy and never any varied volumes.
The television itself is in a subtle silver colour fitting in well with any bedroom colour a credit to the room itself. It is none bulky and doesn't take up much space making it easy...

Freeview recording if you can't afford a Humax
Review of Technika AED-TR 160 S 7 by
AlistairBirch
Advantages: Program Guide really clear and simple, quite good features
Disadvantages: No series link, not the most energy efficient box.
...I have been using Freeview for a while now with a single set top box and as with many other people I was getting fed up that I couldn't record two digital channels or even record one and watch another. My solution to this problem was to look into the growing range of personal video recorders PVR's that are coming onto the market.
The guidelines for my purchase were that I wanted to have a twin tuner which would allow recording of 2 digital channels and I also wanted to keep to a budget of £120 max. Be careful here as not all twin tuner recorders will let you record 2 programs at the same time. The Technika one does but many record one channel whilst you watch another.
Unfortunately my budget ruled out Humax and Topfield which most people seem to think are the best as they are about £160+.
I bought the Technika about a week...

Great value TV
Review of Technika LCD-19-907 by
laramax
Advantages: Excellent value, good range of features
Disadvantages: Little known manufacturer
...When I did some work on my kitchen a couple of years ago I decided to install a little LCD TV on a wall bracket so that I could rotate it to watch the TV in the kitchen or the dining area. It worked just fine and the little 15" LCD TV was OK. Well it was until I realised I could also watch the TV out in the conservatory and then, to be honest, the picture just wasn't big enough!
I got to thinking that a 19" TV was what was needed and started looking around for something suitable that wouldn't actually break the bank. One day when wandering into TESCO I spotted a big pile of Technika 19" TVs on offer. The price tag said they were reduced from £179.99 to £149.99 and they just seemed too much of a bargain to pass them by. I thought about it overnight and popped back to TESCO the following day to put one in my shopping trolley...

Stunning little 256mb MP3 player for under £5
Review of Technika MP3 player by
DragonflyWales
Advantages: Price, Simple to use, Quality
Disadvantages: Minimal features
...I have been debating whether to splash out on an mp3 player for quite some time now but always seemed to have something else to spend the money on so had not purchased one until now.
While picking up some essentials I spotted the Technika MP-906 mp3 player which Tesco are currently retailing for £4.97 and so decided that at under £5 what the hell.
I have to say it is probably the best £5 I have ever spent. For this price you don't expect much and so I was expecting a lightweight flimsy feeling piece of kit, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
The first thing you notice when you remove the player from the packaging is the quality feel of the player. Not the flimsy plastic I was expecting but a solid plastic with a soft rubbery texture that is incredibly comfortable to hold.
The styling of the player is very smooth...

MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Technika MP3 player by
tumblebiscuit
Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!
...it in case anyone was stuck wondering why it didn't work.
~~Music Quality~~
I have to say I'm not fussy about these things so can't give you an in depth analysis. I could hear the songs fine and there was no hissing or background noise.
~~Disadvantages~~
Now I don't mean to be fussy, obviously this is probably the cheapest MP3 player you will ever buy, but I do have a couple of quibbles.
~Locking~
I came to throw my new player in my bag as per usual and realized there is no way of locking it. As I tend to carry mine round with me all day I am used to locking it so that if you accidentally press the buttons it won't switch on. The Technika has no way of doing this so I have to make sure I don't knock the off button while I'm listening to it and then find somewhere safe to put it when I'm not using it. Unfortunately I am...

Sky in every room
Review of Technika AV 104 AV Sender by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Has remote return facility
Disadvantages: Doesn't like other wireless devices
...I have seen video senders (used to send video and audio wirelessly between devices) from years ago and they were expensive and not very reliable, with picture break up being common. Also most were unable to control the sending device using a remote. Whilst browsing round my local Tesco I happened across the Technika AV104 video senders at just under £20 a pair.
What comes in the box
One AV transmitter base
One AV receiver base

DVD-104 is a good buy if you can get it cheap.
Review of Technika DVD104 by
riblet
Advantages: Rock solid reliability, okay looks, good selection of output sockets.
Disadvantages: Awful remote, only 2.0 sound, lacking some newer features.
...DVD has all but replaced VHS Videos these days. And while two competing technologies attempt to catch our eye for the 'next generation' high definition DVD technology, there is still plenty of time for the regular DVD yet.
The Technika DVD-104 is a fairly basic DVD player. It's somewhat lacking in more high end features, such as DivX, mp3, or 5.1 surround support. But what it does do, it does well.
First off, appearances. This unit is the usual all width and no height affair. With only six function buttons and one power button along the front, the remote is vital. The front of the unit is the usual reflective plastic affair, with the display and infrared sensor to the right and various logos splattered around the place to make the unit look more posh, it's "just another DVD player" in that department, but it fits in well with my...
