Gorgeous Gadget

Advantages: Looks good, light and easy to carry, functional, starts up quickly
Disadvantages: Concerns over build quality, poor camera, software glitches can be annoying

...wever, because it isn't. Aesthetically it does look wonderful and let's be honest here - Apple products are desirable because of their aesthetics - however I have some reservations about build quality, and of course with this being an Apple product the entire system is closed. This is fine when your item is under warranty but the warranty itself is pretty short for such an expensive item - one year in comparison to the standard 3 years you can get for almost every other electronic brand. The software on the iPad is generally good but the annoying little glitches you can sometimes get via updates does spoil the experience. Generally I would say that current platform iOS5 is better than Android for browsing the web on wifi (using my Android phone running on Gingerbread for comparison) but there isn't a lot in it and my concerns over build quality and short guarantees mean that my next tablet may well be an Android one. For now however I am happy to stick with Apple for my tablet computer because for all the little gripes it's just a really lovely and functional gadget which can keep me entertained both at home and away....

Love Gadgets

Gadget Fantastic!

Advantages: Great presenters, topics & items. Informative yet very entertaining!
Disadvantages: None

...I'm not the most up-to-date person when it comes to gadgets and technology, but I do find it interesting and I'm always keen to be kept updated on new developments. I'm usually alright when it comes to tech, and prefer to use something using my initiative rather than read instructions, and I always do my research and check reviews before buying. These are probably some reasons why I love The Gadget Show, but you don't really need to be into technology much to enjoy it because it takes such an entertaining approach. Don't be fooled into thinking that a show about technology will be boring and only involve things like computers & mp3 players. The Gadget Show covers a huge range of 'gadgetry', such as cycling technology, laptops, toasters, robots, tents, camping gear...the list is endless and not confined to any set preconception...
