...I bought into Aberdeen Technology in January this year. I was influenced by its consistent outstanding long term performance and after a discount from Hargreaves Lansdown the units cost me £28.11 each. The price rocketed to £42 or so and then fell back to around £30 in the correction. They recovered quickly and now stand at very nearly £36 which is well over 25% gain since I bought them. The fund has temporarily been knocked of its pedestal, no longer being in the "Top Ten" performance chart, along with many others in the same sector. ...This is the perfect magazine to buy if you are into technology or if you want to know what to expect technology wise in the future. The magazine is loaded with reviews of the latest technology telling you all you want to know. They rate all kind of things and their opinion is highly considered in the industry. They have buyers guides for everything, even luxury Yauchts. The advertisements are helpfull as they are mostly for shops that sell serioulsy cheap gear. The writer are all to happy to help with any problems and enquiries and the letters section is highly useful. I get Stuff as much as I can and would love a subscription. I find it very useful indeed for buying anythng even slightly modern.... Read review

...I have got the creativelabs 1024 sound card in my pc with the creative 4 point surround sound speakers and the sound quality out of the card is amazing. Creative also keep on making updates for all of there cards so you will always have the quality of the card with free updates from the website. There are 5 ports on the back of the card which enable you to use 4 Speakers, a Microphone, A Line in socket and a digital output to a minidisk player or other device. ...Zdnet is my main source for whats going on with the internet and technology covering most aspects of todays happenings. Its unbiased reporting is good quality and current. News is one of the sites main focuses but the site also offers downloads, shopping, auctions, games, reviews and the anchor desk a magazine style selction of stories. The site also has running themes commenting on issues such as broadband, mobile technology and a guide to cpu's. The site is fast and very well designed with a clear layout. I recommend this to everyone who wants an unbiased look at todays technology news and stories.... Read review

Advantages: If its a Plextor is great!!!
Disadvantages: Its more likely to be a naff Samsung though.

...I don't own the Creative drive but just wanted to make a comment. When the Creative 8432 came out it was a Plextor based drive and Plextors are the best cdwriters available for reliability and features. This was the model all the reviews are based on and therefore its a highly rated model. After the reviews died down Creative sneakily replaced the Plextor based drive with a Samsung based drive but still kept it branded as 8432! Samsungs are not highly rated drives in fact their right at the bottom. What do you think of a company that does this? The Samsung model is cheaper with its own branding and is better supported with firmware upgrades and so it makes no sense to pay more for the Creative.... Read review

...T102 is the Open University's foundation level (Level 1) technology course: Living With Technology. It is by far the broadest course I have taken with the Open University - it covers Design, Heat, Electricity, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and a host of other disciplines. Obviously this means that no one subject is covered in great depth, but it does give you a brilliant 'taster' of each topic and can help you decide which courses might interest you next. The summer school was superb! Imagine cramming all the lab and field work you would do in a year at a conventional university into one action-packed week! Brilliant! ...I have had the Microphoto now for 6 weeks and having tried out all the functions and getting the grips with it I feel in a position to give a realistic and honest view on the Creative Zen Microphoto. I purchased the Creative Zen Microphoto to replace my Creative 20GB Touch which I accidentally broke. I shopped around for a mp3 player and settled on the Creative Zen Microphoto mainly because of the Creative software which is easy to use. Also the ability to use it as an external hard drive helps me keep everything in one place neat and organised. The pros are the great sound quality, the bright colourful display, the mp3 player's software system which is very intuitive and the value for money of the Zen when compared to an Ipod.
