Teco - great TV, horrible customer services

...Firstly, I would say the TV itself is excellent. For the price, its hard to beat. However, unfortunately, I am in the same boat as Keith. My TV was great up until around 14 months in when it just switched off and wouldnt come back on again. A call to the helpline said it was still under warranty and would probably be fixed within 5 days. 5 weeks on and Im still waiting - I too am "waiting for parts" - which is beginning to sound like a standard fob-off. BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV

The only trouble was, that being end of line meant that you could not order it for delivery, so I did a search of all my local stores until I found one and we reserved it for collection the next day. My husband came home with the tv, we unpacked it and installed it so easily, it was a dream. The Techinical description of this television in the Argos catalogue is Bush LCD27TV005 27in Widescreen LCD TV. The Argos order number is: 529/2150 and we paid £399.99. From what I have read online, this television was retailing at around £600 originially, but at the moment, all of the LCD televisions seem to be 26 or 30/32 inches, so it looks like they are phasing out the 27" ones. Akura AH260 LCD

Advantages: Good picture, Widescreen, HD Ready, Wall Mountable and an assortment of connections.
Disadvantages: Remote control:slightly hit and miss but still works. HDMI connection would be useful.

...I bought this LCD tv roughly 2 years ago. I must admit I was quite skeptical over the manufacturer before I bought it, but it was a good price and had good features too. And I can comfortably say that this LCD tv has not let me down to this day! It has a good quality picture for both digital tv and games. It also supports the HD feature, though I have yet to use it. I am sure it would be more than adequate. The remote control is a standard remote control, slightly hit and miss, but works nonetheless. Although the tv doesn't have an HMDI connection it is always possible to get a HDMI to DVI converter or vice versa in order for it to work with the playstation 3 and other devices (It works with the current DVI connection, but other cables may be required). The tv is also wall mountable, and safe to say I have no problems with it being hung...

We were drawn to a range of small LCD televisions and at the time we thought that the Digilogic 15 inch television had one of the best pictures in the lower end of the price range. I had never heard of Digilogic but I now know that it is Tesco's own brand name for a range of electrical goods.
