Advantages: You're at a disadvantage if you don't buy this album!
Disadvantages: None really, but I liked the swapping of vocals on 20 Below on the last album and there's none of that here.

...The Teen Idols were one of my biggest musical surprises last year. I had heard tracks on the Honest Dons comps and I had also heard the now pretty famous Ketchup Soup on the Fat Short Music For Short People but when I saw them live I was totally blown away. Teen Idols were hands down my best live band of last year. I went straight out and got both albums. The new album, Full Leather Jacket doesn’t disappoint. I have to admit that when I first heard it I thought it was very slow, but after a few listens you get into the new pace and just sit back, relax and enjoy!! All the melodies and catchy choruses are there and there’s even a guest appearance by Dan Vapid!! Rock n’ Roll!! A big thumbs up here!!... Read review

...A*teens were always going to have a hard job coming back with new material after thier debut album 'Abba - The next generation' as critics had already dubbed them a 'covers' band who couldn't produce anything of their own worthy enough to be a hit. Wrong. This, their 2nd album, hasn't 1 cover version in sight just 13 perfectly produced pop gems. Here's a brief track low down of the album. 1 Upside down - This is the first single released off the album and stormed into the charts at no.10. Very uptempo pop with a strong feel-good vibe from start to finish. 2 ...to the music - Carries on where track 1 left off if a little less uptempo. Advantages: Superbly quirky indie-pop stylings
Disadvantages: Not for those with 'heavier' leanings

...After surviving Faith No More, heroin addiction, coming out and dating Courney Love, Imperial Teen must seem like a day at the beach for Roddy Bottum! The former Faith No More keyboardist and founder member formed Imperial Teen along with fellow vocal/keyboard/guitarist Will Schwartz, and rhythm section Jone Sebbins (bass) and Lynn Perko (drums/percussion). Their infectious brand of quirky indie-pop stylings has an irresistible charm, but may seem like an acquired taste to some. First things first: anybody into Faith No More purely for their metal leanings will hate Imperial Teen. In Faith No More, the members all had different musical spectrums, which made the music so polarised and genre-straddling. ...No one who makes money with covers of other peoples music can´t make it far!!!Ok they have few good dance versions but can they make their OWN music?? NO. And sooner or later they´ll run out of Abba´s songs and then what happens? They may have to change their name to "beatles teens" like B-teens or something else. I´ll never learn to understand people who pretend to be in the music business but a)are only like 14 years b)can´t even make their own music. What´s the point in doing something that some one else has already done?? No point, totally pointless! So I suggest You A-teens go home and grow up and become adults and TRY to do some own music....
