Yes - Another Teen Movie!

Advantages: It has some (SOME) funny jokes in there
Disadvantages: it has lots and lots of bad jokes in there

...! The genesis of teen movies is, to me at least, unknown. It should stay that way, for the fate of the fool who brought about the genre would be swift and merciless, otherwise. His dastardliness has spawned artistry of maleficent device, conceived and delivered with one purpose and one purpose only: to steal forth the hard-earned money of teens and assorted idjits wherever they may roam. The Evil That Has Birthed (plot) The basic premise of Not Another Teen Movie is quite simple: slag, parody and slander all the other teen movies which have come before it. There are so many obvious references to past teenybopper movies from bygone times that I can scarce remember them all. From what remains of a hole-studded memory, though, come glimpes and allusions of and to She's All That, Never Been Kissed, American Pie, Bring It On, Cruel Intentions...

Another Teen Movie? That Is Whack!

Advantages: Entertaining the first few times
Disadvantages: Gets boring and maybe everything you hate

...We've seen what Scary Movie can do to the horror genre, 4 bloody times, but when director Joel Gallen took on spoofing the teen genre in Not Another Teen Movie nobody seemed to want to know about it. Well that didn't stop me going on a random hunt for DVD's to watch to kill time. I found this film to have instant appeal, with actually being a fan of American Pie and of course, good looking cheerleaders. It's very rewatchable as well, although the last time I watched it the film did feel as 5 years dated as it actually is. I remember when I was younger having fun watching this film with friends, but now I'm 17 the film doesn't have the same appeal. For a main story we see the Popular Jock (Jake) trying to transform the Pretty Ugly Girl (Janey) into Prom Queen for a bet, whilst his ex-girlfriend the Nasty Cheerleader is going to...

10 feel good Teen Movies from the Kitty

Advantages: my choices, they make me smile
Disadvantages: not your choices, you may hate teen movies

...While pondering what my next op could be on and having a look through the members picks in Ciao Café I knew that I didn?t really want to do it on a product, it?s Sunday after all and I certainly didn?t want any heavy writing duties, I needed something light hearted, something funny and to boost my (at the moment, low) morale, then I saw it?. Review of Top 10 Teen Movies

Not another teen movie, or something like that

Advantages: Surprisingly funny, good characters, silly
Disadvantages: Not original, Gross-out moments

...I watched 'not another teen movie' on Dvd last night for the first time (rented). I was never really interested in when it was released at the cinema because I'd been through that whole spoof thing back when scary movie was first released and I thought this would be the same old thing. Okay I wasn't totally wrong but it still has charm (maybe not the appropriate word). I was actually surprised that I enjoyed it and actually watched it three times because there were two commentaries on the dvd (one cast and one crew). Spoofing Teen's Can Be Funny Too

Advantages: It's actually funny and clever.
Disadvantages: There's not funny and dumb things too.

Advantages: If you like 'em you like 'em
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

Do we really need Not another teen movie

Advantages: Hillarious
Disadvantages: May need to of seen origianl films

...We have been dumped with the mother of all teen movies, just this time it's a parody of, well pretty much every other teen movie. The problem is, is that we have enough already and is Not Another Teen Movie just one more than we need, especially given that you need to know the original films to understand some of the jokes, and of a consequence of parodying so many films it does have a lot of storylines rolled into one. This is a film unlike many others, because whereas most films have a moral side waiting to be found, this has a moral side waiting to be smashed apart. Janey Briggs (Chyler Leigh) is the pretty ugly girl at John Hughes high school, and when the popular Jock, Jake Wyler (Chris Evans), breaks up with his girlfriend, Prescilla (the nasty cheerleader), he makes a bet that he can turn her into Prom Queen. ...Teen-Online.com provide free email, chat rooms and message boards for teenagers. The email service is fairly poor - very simple, you can't block senders, filter junk mail and you have a fairly small Inbox space limit. The email is also unreliable - for the whole of three weeks I just could not access my email because the server was down and they were changing the service of the email. Three Weeks! The chat rooms are fairly fast but require you to become a member and subscribe to teen-online as do the message boards. I think the site is more for young teens. Avoid it if you're over 15....
