Advantages: Fantastic New Album for NIN fans

...[WITH-TEETH] Nine Inch Nails Here we go another album waited to get me hands on, picked it up off eBay as normal and paid out £8 for it New. Nine Inch Nails is another band I faithfully follow and I bought [WITH-TEETH] without any hesitation and I was not disappointed Starts off slow with "All The Love In The World" which is a nice mellow offering but the old familiar feeling of angst anger whatever you want to call it smashes in here and there as you progress through the album. It kicks in with "You Know What You Are" up with the tempo and the wonderful in your face "Don't You F***** Know What You Are ?!?" Fast and Good with a reassuringly familiar NIN sound to it..."Everyday Is Exactly The Same" again a more singy-song but Loved it. Fantastic lyrics I can connect with this one. 'Oops, Hardly Anyone Understood The Fragile'
Review of With Teeth (Parental Advisory) [Digipak] [PA] - Nine Inch Nails by radiusproject

Advantages: Excellently crafted album, where every song has everything but the bare essentials stripped down.
Disadvantages: Lacks depth, and can feel very 'MTV' and cheesy in places.

...Well, what a difference there is between this album and the last release. Where as 1999's The Fragile was a meandering, 'slow to catch' piece of audio-art, With Teeth feels much more like Reznor is considering his audience when writing; perhaps too much in places. Fans of With Teeths predecessor will be dissapointed by the 'stripped down' approach to this album, whereas Pretty Hate Machine purists will be thrilled by the independence each song holds from its neighbours. There is a lot in this album that feels uncomfortable or uneasy for Nine Inch Nails to be putting out, which with time settles in, and fits a band with the pedigree of a band such as this. So lets start with the faults. My all time favourite NIN album has to be Still, the oft-overlooked almost acoustic album Reznor put out in between the two albums I've already... Read review

Trent is back, and he's still got it

Advantages: Still dark and emotional as ever, more accessible than past efforts
Disadvantages: One or two tracks sound like they were recorded to keep MTV happy

...If ever an album were to be described as a 'grower', it would be The Fragile through and through. I dont say it often, as there are mobs of post-The Fragile Nine Inch Nail fans out there waiting at my door with bricks and baseball bats, but.....I LIKED THE FRAGILE. In fact i loved it, and now that the next album has been released I feel that it may just be safe to say it without having to go to confession. Oh yes, the new album. Its called With Teeth, and is once again drenched from tip to toe with Trent Reznors heart ache, self pity, and general hatred. But there is more. You see, Trent has come back with an ACCESSIBLE album, and i say that in Caps Lock because with the kind of music I listen to it doesnt get said often.
