Tefal Steam Cuisine Steamer
Review of Tefal Steam Cuisine 1000 Turbo Diffusion Steamer by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Great idea saves time
Disadvantages: None
...areas of houses, apartments and flats apparently laughingly described as 'kitchens' of considerable importance.
The steamer consists of a base unit (complete with controls) and three tiers above it. It comes complete with 3 steam baskets (though you can use two if required) a removable base which has an integrated egg holder, a rice bowl, a juice collector and a water inlet.
It also has a feature called a "removable turbo ring scale remover." My wife says: "This is a great idea. It really helps by getting rid of the limescale and stops it building up on the element. This is absolutely brilliant as it helps protect the element and ensures that no energy is not wasted, nor cooking time increased by limescale build-up."
An advantage of the Tefal Steam Cuisine Steamer is that has an electronic timer and the version we have comes...

Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by
flutterby13
Advantages: Energy efficient, very fast and filtered water
Disadvantages: Maybe the price, water cools down quite fast, but it could be me!!
...and start and watch how much it fills your cup 2nd time round so you dont drown your tea bag!
I'm on my 2nd Tefal Quickcup, as the first one had a couple of problems with it. The first was that it leaked from underneath, so I dont know if this was just a little glitch with the particular quickcup we had, but it does leak a tiny bit from the nozzle, so you have to keep your cup under for just a few more seconds to make sure there's no more water. The 2nd problem, which was a little more major and lowered my satisfaction of the product was that it left a bit of a nasty film on top of the drink. A sort of thick froth, like what you would find on a cappucino, but it would stick the sides of the cup. When we got the 2nd Quickcup, this was not apparent, and the drinks tasted and looked much better. But I wonder if I'm starting to see signs again...

This Tefal Could Be Lethal
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
mickeydumville
Advantages: Stylish Looks & Cord Storage In Base
Disadvantages: Care Needed When Pouring Boiling Water
...on you pushing a plastic locking button and pulling the filter out. I've got fairly chunky fingers and I found it cumbersome to remove. Providing you de-scale regularly and keep the filter clean, there's little problem with lime scale beating the filter. The mesh does a very good job in that department.
At the bottom is the element and again I think Tefal have been slow. They've used a 2.2 kW element where 3 kW may have been more suitable. If you shop around there are smaller kettles than this one using such an element. These kettles are labelled 'rapid boil' or something similar. Cookworks, Morphy Richards and Kenwood are just three manufacturers making this type of kettle.
It sits well on the base and the cord can be adjusted to suit your needs with any spare cable being stored underneath. This in my mind is a big plus for Tefal as you...

Quick cuppa with the Tefal QuickCup
Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by
dbarcl10
Advantages: Warm water in 3 secs, energy saving
Disadvantages: Doesn't boil water
...The Tefal Quick Cup is a type of kettle, but instead of boiling a whole kettle of water to make a single cup of tea, the Quick Cup heats only the amount of water required, therefore saving energy. Tefal claims that a cup of hot water takes only 3 seconds and I was sceptical at first, but its true.
The machine itself is mainly black with a stainless steel control panel on top, and has 2300w of power. The machine is made from high quality plastic, so is easily cleaned with a wet cloth. The water tank holds 1.5 litres of water, and has space for a Claris water filter if required (one comes in the box).
One touch of the red button on the top of the machine provides a steady flow of hot water, enough to fill an average sized mug. If you want less, just press the red button again. For more, either press the red button once again...

Tefal Protect
Review of Tefal GV 9150 Protect Turbo by
drow22
Advantages: Reduced ironing time
Disadvantages: Very Expensive
...Tefal GV 9150 Protect Turbo
Out of all the household tasks ironing is the one I hate and the one I am useless at. So when my iron died a death a couple of months ago I thought I would invest in a steam generator iron. Whilst they are expensive they all claimed to cut your ironing time down by half, which sounded good to me. I opted for the Tefal Protect Turbo as I liked the idea that you could cover it with a hood and put it away still hot, without fear of scorching anything. And also with a small child in the house I also liked the protect function. Having said that I always wait to iron until he is in bed to avoid accidents.
.
Ok so what's the iron Tefal Protect like?
Well there is no picture on Ciao so I will try and describe the iron too you. All steam generator irons are much bulkier than your standard iron...

Treat it with Respect
Review of Tefal Tefal by
susanbunny
Advantages: Taste the difference
Disadvantages: No off/on swich
...Tefal 2 Tier Steamer
I have had this steamer for about six months now and I must confess I cannot remember how much it cost. Approximately £25.00.
** What it looks like **
As there are only two of us at home now, I chose the 2-tier version, but there is also a 3-tier version available. It has a white oval shaped base which has a small viewing window that has time indicators on it, and enables you to see how long is left and how full it is. There are raised level indicators inside for easy viewing when you have the bowls off. The bowls are see through Perspex, as is the lid. It also comes with a bowl with handles on for serving in also ideal for mashing the potatoes in. The lid will double up as a tray to put under the bowl to use as a serving dish, I use mine to put under the bowl while I carry it around the kitchen...

cooking made easy at last.
Review of Tefal Tefal by
colly22
Advantages: healthier food, less mess
Disadvantages: staining of juice collector
...I was bought a tefal 2 tier aqua timer steamer last year, and it has since become an integral part of my daily cooking.
The steamer consists of:
-a lid with vent holes
-a rice bowl
-2 x 3l bowls
-juice collector
-a turbo ring!
-base containg heating elements, indicator lights and water level indicator.
To start steaming all you need to do is put the 'turbo ring' around the elemnt, fill with water as required(There is a gauge on the side so you can see how much water is left)You then just pop the trays on the steamer, put in your veg and switch on. There is a buzzer which sounds when the water reservoir is empty.
I find steaming much easier than regular cooking, all I need to do is peel and chop the vegetables and plonk them in the steaming trays and it does the rest itself! Magic.
There is no need to keep an eye on pans...

Tefal Elegance Automatic Cordless Kettle
Review of Tefal 6920511 ELEG by
colinmilne
Advantages: Stainless Steel Kettle for Bargain Price
Disadvantages: Metal Body can burn!
...Well my classic Russell Hobbs K2 kettle finally bit the dust and I was forced to go looking for a replacement. I spotted this Tefal in the Big W on special offer at £19.99 (May 2004) and immediately thought it a bargain.
It's a jug type design with the main vessel in polished stainless steel with the base, spout and handle in a durable black matt plastic. The finish on the whole product is excellent with no rough edges either on the metal or plastic mouldings. The handle feels lovely and the whole kettle is well balanced.
The plastic lid click locks on a quarter turn and this takes a little getting used to. It's designed to keep the lid in place while pouring. The lid also incorporates a fine plastic mesh filter just on the inside of the pourer. The maximum fill level is indicated by a small plastic flag on the inside. It can...

Tefal Steam Cuisine
Review of Tefal 6161.15 by
tblake7
Advantages: Healthy Meals and very in-expensive
Disadvantages: Washing it is a bit of a pain
...I bought my steamer about 2 years ago and used it fairly often...until I bought my George Foreman Fat Reducing Grilling Machine...
Ok I have to admit that steaming is probably the healthiest way to cook, but using the grilling machine is so much faster and less hassle.
I was using my steamer to cook vegetables on one level and salmon on the other...what a pain it is to clean after you have cooked fish in it. You really have to scrub it hard to get all the bits out of the steaming rack that sits inside. Even soaking it doesn't get the bits out. At least with the George Foreman, you give it one wipe over and it is spotless. Cooking on the grill takes about 5 minutes whereas the steamer can take around 25-45 minutes (Tefals recommendation) for vegetables and 15-25 minutes for chicken.
I do like the cooking time instructions on the front...
