For our first week in said abode, we were happy apart from the distinct lack of toast that we had - and BF does love his toast, bless him. The reason for this was due to the rather strange mixture of provisions that the landlord had equipped the flat with; you see, we had two woks and a wine rack but no kettle or toaster! ...I bought this toaster in the January sales after it was reduced from £50 to a more appetising £35. A big factor in the purchase was twofold. Firstly, the existing toaster - a 2-slice faux silver Delonghi which gave pathetic results – was heading for the Oxfam charity bag as soon as it’s successor was found. Secondly, I was looking to upgrade to a four-slicer. My satisfaction, I decided, would be measured by an evenly toasted bread product, delivered with consistent results. The Tefal Avanti Deluxe ticked the box for having the four slice option, and the price was bearable. The unknown factor was it’s performance, which I’m happy to report is very good, after 5 months of use. The Oxfam charity bag won’t be seeing this baby for a good while. ...***Background*** This is not the first Tefal Avanti model that I have owned. The first one lasted me over 10 years and was obtained with the help of ABC points with Safeway many years ago. Unlike this model it was only a 2 slice toaster and when it gave up on us about 3 months before our wedding, it was decided to buy a cheap Tesco value model to do us and we put this model on to our wedding list. ...Although I'd had a cheap toaster for a while it was very rarely used because I had a gas oven and grill and we always used that to toast anything other that sliced bread. Crumpets etc went on the grill and came out beautifully. The purchase of my first electric oven soon put paid to that due to the time required to heat the element. A toaster that was capable of a range of baked goods was necessary and the Tefal Avanti looked like it was up to the job. This is a big toaster with slots that look wider and deeper than the average. It has a futuristic appearance and plenty of buttons and knobs on the front to make it seem that toasting is a complicated task. There's a high lift button for teacakes, crumpets and other things that sit lower in the slot, there's a stop button if you notice smoke emerging and the usual browning control... Read review

...Having a fairly large family (who all like toast) I finally decided it was time to buy an electric toaster. Up until now, I had got by using the grill on my cooker, but it was becoming an increasingly time consuming process to prepare enough toast for everybody in the house. My actual requirements were fairly basic, any toaster I bought would have to be able to cook 4 slices at once, be silver in colour (to match the rest of my kitchen appliances) and be as cheap as possible. The Tefal Avanti Deluxe four slice toaster fulfilled all these criteria, and a little more besides, and at £24.99 in Argos it was an absolute bargain that I simply couldn't miss. ...I first went to this restaurant with a mentor from university along with the other students that were being mentored. I liked it so much that I asked my parents to take me again. We have since been on several occasions the most recent being for my 18th Birthday. My mam, dad, my best friend Emma and I, met my older sister, Joanne and her husband Craig, at Avanti on Friday night. We booked a table for 7pm ready for my birthday celebration! Joanne and Craig arrived a little earlier than us (6.40pm) and were already at our table when we arrived. I love Italian food and I always have the same whenever I go (Minestrone Soup followed by Spaghetti Bolognese!) When translated into English, Avanti means welcome or come in. ...Looking for a LARGE condom? Something Wide? Or indeed are you put off buying this condom because you think it is for the well endowed? Then you may find the contents of this opinion useful. If you are thinking of buying Avanti on the basis that you need a wider condom, do NOT waste your money buying AVANTI - whilst they are indeed stated as having a width greater than the average condom you can get in the high street, AVANTI condoms have virtually NO elasticity (this is due to them being made of polyurethane rather than latex). Likewise, therefore, don't be put off from trying them if you typically use an ordinary size condom and have been intimidated into thinking that they are for the well endowed. They are not! ...at how far the humble toaster had advanced and some of the premium brands were in excess of £80 - I have my limits! After a swift flick through the pages of my trusty Argos book (otherwise known as the Tickly bible), I decided to spend no more than £20. After a day or so, I spotted the ideal model - bid and won it for bargainous £10 plus postage - not half bad as it was brand new and unused.
