TEFAL TOASTER - TASTY TOASTER
Review of Tefal 6532817P AVAN Deluxe by  kismet

Advantages: easy to use, convenient system
Disadvantages: none

...Wait for it, yes you guessed it, this was another wedding present. This time from my brother-in-law. I had a cheap two slice toaster, which just isn't quick enough for 2 people, so I added a nice expensive 4 slice toaster onto my wedding list. I chose this Tefal model due to its list of functions and also the design as I was changing everything in my kitchen from plastic to chrome. PRICE +++++ At Argos, this machine was originally £49.99, but around Christmas time the price was reduced to £24.99. (The brother in law was not happy about this!!). FUNTIONS and TECHNICAL STUFF +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The toaster is available in white/silver and black/silver. The toaster is "front-angled". This means that you can see the toast as it is pointing towards you, not sticking out the top of the machine. You can... Read review

It's big but it's not very clever
Review of Tefal Avanti Hi-Speed Deluxe 2 Slice Toasters by  sandrabarber

Advantages: Looks good, Great bun warmer
Disadvantages: Your toast won't fit in it

...my house and I was having to kit it out all at once, and money was tight. Second, I wouldn’t go for the cheapest. Buying crap isn’t prudent – and cheapest all too often does mean crap. So I wanted a mid-priced toaster that looked attractive in my spanking new kitchen and, most importantly, cooked a good piece of toast. Kane’s eye was immediately drawn to the Tefal Avanti Deluxe Hi-Speed 2 Slice. It was quite large, had plenty of shiny silver twiddly bits, and came in two colours: black or white. I liked it too, because: 1. It had an unusual shape. Imagine a semi-circle chopped in half and sat on one of its flat edges with the curved edge presented to the world. Nice. Not square. 2. It was large. 21 cm x 18 cm x 26 cm, to be precise. The toast cavities (of which there are two) looked nice and deep. 3. It said... Read review

He's big, he's chrome, he lives in my home
Review of Tefal Avanti Hi-Speed Deluxe 2 Slice Toasters by  Collingwood21

Advantages: Looks great in chrome, toasts very fast, easy to clean and use
Disadvantages: Very boring in white, quite expensive

...Last september, the other half and I finally moved into our flat together. For our first week in said abode, we were happy apart from the distinct lack of toast that we had - and BF does love his toast, bless him. The reason for this was due to the rather strange mixture of provisions that the landlord had equipped the flat with; you see, we had two woks and a wine rack but no kettle or toaster! So, when asked by my parents what we would like for a house warming pressie, this is what we told them. And my parents, being the lovely people that they are, bought us a rather funky matching toaster and kettle set to adorn out new kitchen. Now, I have the challenge of writing about a toaster without boring you all to the point where you lose the will to live... Here goes! My new toaster is a Tefal Avanti chrome model, that sits... Speedy toast and yummy teacakes
Review of Tefal Avanti Deluxe 4 Slice Toasters by  sandemp

Advantages: Super fast toaster, variable controls, cook toast for different tastes at the same time
Disadvantages: Not perfect, occasionally need to turn toast over.

...Having a fairly large family (who all like toast) I finally decided it was time to buy an electric toaster. Up until now, I had got by using the grill on my cooker, but it was becoming an increasingly time consuming process to prepare enough toast for everybody in the house. My actual requirements were fairly basic, any toaster I bought would have to be able to cook 4 slices at once, be silver in colour (to match the rest of my kitchen appliances) and be as cheap as possible. The Tefal Avanti Deluxe four slice toaster fulfilled all these criteria, and a little more besides, and at £24.99 in Argos it was an absolute bargain that I simply couldn't miss. Colour and design-wise it's very stylish with black and silver tones, and an unusual curved profile, it certainly fits in with the rest of my appliances. As far as cooking with it goes... Reliable Tefal
Review of Tefal Integral Iron by  backstreetwoman

Advantages: Reliability of Tefal, top of the range cookware
Disadvantages: None

...I have become a bit of a Tefal lover over the past couple of years, mainly because of the reliability of course, but also for the look. Yes, I know, a typical 'girlie' thing! Amongst my many Tefal products is my set of Integral Saucepans bought for me by my daughter. After I constantly moaned about my previous set of pans that had seen better days, she very sweetly bought them for me from QVC who often have Tefal hours presented by the lovely Annette Baker-Malpas. The Integral Saucepans are the top of the range of Tefal pans and quite simply, the best. As well as the well-known non-stick interior favoured by Tefal, the Integral saucepans, which come in a very attractive slate grey colour - ideally suited for most kitchen colour schemes - they have toughened glass lids, which won't shatter easily, and have steam vents which can... Tefal Steam Cuisine Steamer
Review of Tefal Steam Cuisine 1000 Turbo Diffusion Steamer by  Martinscholes

Advantages: Great idea saves time
Disadvantages: None

...areas of houses, apartments and flats apparently laughingly described as 'kitchens' of considerable importance. The steamer consists of a base unit (complete with controls) and three tiers above it. It comes complete with 3 steam baskets (though you can use two if required) a removable base which has an integrated egg holder, a rice bowl, a juice collector and a water inlet. It also has a feature called a "removable turbo ring scale remover." My wife says: "This is a great idea. It really helps by getting rid of the limescale and stops it building up on the element. This is absolutely brilliant as it helps protect the element and ensures that no energy is not wasted, nor cooking time increased by limescale build-up." An advantage of the Tefal Steam Cuisine Steamer is that has an electronic timer and the version we have comes... Read review

Quick cuppa with the Tefal QuickCup
Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by  dbarcl10

Advantages: Warm water in 3 secs, energy saving
Disadvantages: Doesn't boil water

...The Tefal Quick Cup is a type of kettle, but instead of boiling a whole kettle of water to make a single cup of tea, the Quick Cup heats only the amount of water required, therefore saving energy. Tefal claims that a cup of hot water takes only 3 seconds and I was sceptical at first, but its true. The machine itself is mainly black with a stainless steel control panel on top, and has 2300w of power. The machine is made from high quality plastic, so is easily cleaned with a wet cloth. The water tank holds 1.5 litres of water, and has space for a Claris water filter if required (one comes in the box). One touch of the red button on the top of the machine provides a steady flow of hot water, enough to fill an average sized mug. If you want less, just press the red button again. For more, either press the red button once again... Read review

It'll do a skinny danish and a fat crumpet
Review of Tefal Avanti Deluxe 4 Slice Toasters by  Annie_M

Advantages: Good even toasting
Disadvantages: Not so good if you like a long slice

...I bought this toaster in the January sales after it was reduced from £50 to a more appetising £35. A big factor in the purchase was twofold. Firstly, the existing toaster - a 2-slice faux silver Delonghi which gave pathetic results – was heading for the Oxfam charity bag as soon as it’s successor was found. Secondly, I was looking to upgrade to a four-slicer. My satisfaction, I decided, would be measured by an evenly toasted bread product, delivered with consistent results. The Tefal Avanti Deluxe ticked the box for having the four slice option, and the price was bearable. The unknown factor was it’s performance, which I’m happy to report is very good, after 5 months of use. The Oxfam charity bag won’t be seeing this baby for a good while. The Tefal website lists its features as: Stylish, 4-slice, white, thick ‘n’ thin... Read review

The Competition is Toast
Review of Tefal 5328.16 by  molelover

Advantages: four slice, defrost and reheat settings
Disadvantages: crumbs collect under levers, positioning of crumb trays

...Tefal are almost synonymous with non-stick pans, in the same way that hoover stopped being a brand name and became the machine itself. I didn't know that Tefal also make other things, including toasters. Mine was a gift, and has proved to be a valuable addition to my kitchen, and not just nice and shiny. Aren't all toasters pretty much the same? Well, I used to think so and I wouldn't have splashed out on a deluxe one. It's only since using this one that I have realised it has plenty of advantages over a regular toaster. It's a four slot toaster, but the four slots are in two lots of two - meaning you can cook yourself two slices to have now, and two to have in five minutes (did I mention I like toast?). Beats having to wait for two to toast before putting another two in, or having four ready all at once and the second two getting... Read review

Tefal Elegance Automatic Cordless Kettle
Review of Tefal 6920511 ELEG by  colinmilne

Advantages: Stainless Steel Kettle for Bargain Price
Disadvantages: Metal Body can burn!

...Well my classic Russell Hobbs K2 kettle finally bit the dust and I was forced to go looking for a replacement. I spotted this Tefal in the Big W on special offer at £19.99 (May 2004) and immediately thought it a bargain. It's a jug type design with the main vessel in polished stainless steel with the base, spout and handle in a durable black matt plastic. The finish on the whole product is excellent with no rough edges either on the metal or plastic mouldings. The handle feels lovely and the whole kettle is well balanced. The plastic lid click locks on a quarter turn and this takes a little getting used to. It's designed to keep the lid in place while pouring. The lid also incorporates a fine plastic mesh filter just on the inside of the pourer. The maximum fill level is indicated by a small plastic flag on the inside. It can... Read review
