An Elegant Kettle

...When my daughter moved into her own house one of the things she needed was a kettle, and I decided that I would buy her one. She had quite a modern kitchen, white with brushed metal handles, so I knew I wanted to get quite a modern style kettle. I started off by looking at what kettles were available and quickly decided that Stainless Steel was the way to go. There were numerous kettles available but I decided to go for a mid price jug kettle (I paid £19.99 for this one in May 2005) and from a brand I knew (and trusted), Tefal. Review of Tefal Elegance Jug Kettle

Tefal Actifry absolutely fantastic indeed

Advantages: Cooks food healthily
Disadvantages: None

...I was thinking about buying one of the Tefal Actifrys for sometime about 1 year to be exact. I was not disappointed at all and it is fantastic. You must ensure though that you really rinse the potatoes well to get rid of the starch and not only that dry the potatoes before you add them to the actifry. You only need 1 tablespoon of oil, any oil will do but I prefer a good quality olive oil, the chips turned out perfect, I didn't need to do them for the full 35-40 minutes stated as they were cooked in 30 minutes but I cannot rate this Actifry highly enough. Dietetics departments recommend this too so it must be good. I am well impressed, Don't worry, get one....

Kettle chips

Advantages: A really crisp potato chip

...When I sit and watch television in the evening I like something to munch, the `something` all depends on my mood. There are times when I reach for the biscuit tin, other times when a bar of Cadbury`s will do the trick and times when I feel like something savoury. There aren't many crisps and potato snacks that I don't like, but Kettle Chips have to be one of my favourite snacks. Maybe they remind me of my childhood, my Mum used to peel and slice some potatoes very thinly and then deep fry them, the result was much like a Kettle chip. Kettle chips are produced at a factory in Norwich, interestingly enough by a firm called Kettle Foods! ...In October 2009 I bought a Tefal Two Slot Avanti Toaster, which cost £23.95 from the Amazon website. General information Tefal is a world wide brand originally from France. It is a leader in non-stick cookware, pressure cookers, electrical cooking appliances, food and beverage preparation, irons and scales. The toaster I ordered from Amazon is, to give it its full name, a Tefal TT704115 Avanti Toaster, 2 Slice, Chrome and Black. Compared to old toasters (including my broken one) it is rather stylish and modern. The angled top is chrome and the case is black plastic. ...Well my classic Russell Hobbs K2 kettle finally bit the dust and I was forced to go looking for a replacement. I spotted this Tefal in the Big W on special offer at £19.99 (May 2004) and immediately thought it a bargain. It's a jug type design with the main vessel in polished stainless steel with the base, spout and handle in a durable black matt plastic. The finish on the whole product is excellent with no rough edges either on the metal or plastic mouldings. The handle feels lovely and the whole kettle is well balanced. The plastic lid click locks on a quarter turn and this takes a little getting used to. It's designed to keep the lid in place while pouring. Can you see where I am going with this? Yes, a major downside with the Tefal 6920511P is that it is a dangerous thing to have in your kitchen if you have children – or clumsy sods like me – roaming around. I have lost count of the number of times that my hands have slipped when picking this kettle up (I refer you back to the point where I said it was very heavy) and I have singed my fingers on it.
