Reviews of tefal kettle
a kettle that works
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
flupen
Advantages: boils fast, easy to fill, cheap
Disadvantages: only in white or green
...I have not been having much luck with kettles in the last year.
My trusty old kettle went “poof” one morning as I was waiting for my morning brew and I replaced in with a very elegant Swan kettle. This lasted less than four months before it too “poofed” out of the life. Of course, I has lost the receipt and had to just bite the bullet and by another one.
I went to Currys for no other reason than it was close. In there, I chose a Tefal Delfina in white. I could have purchased it in an odd green shade but it did not appeal to me.
The white one is great. It has an orange on/ off button with is luminous when on.
The shape of the kettle is good. The lid is hinged but opens wide to allow for easy filling.
It is cordless, which I prefer and has a reasonably short lead from the base unit to the plug, which in my...

Vitesse with Finesse
Review of Tefal Vitesse by
Pritch
Advantages: Fast boiler, good looker
Disadvantages: Build quality could be better, pain to fill
...This kettle looks good. Rounded contours, with a rather neat (or is it cost-cutting?) transparent window in the side, allowing you to look right through your kettle and watch your... erm... toaster.
Pick it up, and first impressions are dashed on the rocks. It feels cheap and plasticky, and you need three hands to fill it with water, otherwise the lid falls shut, and you get soaked.
Put it back on the base and flick the switch and the Tefal starts to look (and sound) impressive. Within seconds, you get to hear the sound of water starting to boil, and a bit later, voila, anything up to 1.7l of water.
Apart from the build quality, my only gripe is that I can't "just go and do something for a couple of minutes while I wait for the kettle" anymore....

Tefal Elegance Automatic Cordless Kettle
Review of Tefal 6920511 ELEG by
colinmilne
Advantages: Stainless Steel Kettle for Bargain Price
Disadvantages: Metal Body can burn!
...Well my classic Russell Hobbs K2 kettle finally bit the dust and I was forced to go looking for a replacement. I spotted this Tefal in the Big W on special offer at £19.99 (May 2004) and immediately thought it a bargain.
It's a jug type design with the main vessel in polished stainless steel with the base, spout and handle in a durable black matt plastic. The finish on the whole product is excellent with no rough edges either on the metal or plastic mouldings. The handle feels lovely and the whole kettle is well balanced.
The plastic lid click locks on a quarter turn and this takes a little getting used to. It's designed to keep the lid in place while pouring. The lid also incorporates a fine plastic mesh filter just on the inside of the pourer. The maximum fill level is indicated by a small plastic flag on the inside. It can...

Deep-fried Chicken tonight!!
Review of Tefal 3621615 PRI by
fun2night4us
Advantages: Do not have to keep draining oil after each use
Disadvantages: Takes up alot of countertop space
...was found while I was doing some research, at the Tefal homepage before buying the "right" deep fryer for me.
Tefal which is a combination of the words Teflon and Aluminum was first invented in 1954 by the French engineer Marc Gregoire, although the Tefal company was not founded until 1956. At this time Tefal was mainly just making their famous non-stick frying pans. Tefal has now developed into an "all around" house hold product manufacturer now dedicated to making pressure cookers, irons, scales, bakeware, kitchen utensils, steamers, kettles, food processors, toasters and many other items. Tefal has become a name we can rely upon for almost all of our kitchen needs. It was not until 1987 that Tefal came out with the first Coolwall Deep Fryer. And that takes us to the product in hand.
The Tefal Prissima is one of there recent...

3 second kettle...i think not!
Review of Tefal BR303844 Quickcup by
pages3
Advantages: energy saving, very quick
Disadvantages: noisy, clouds water, water not boiling
...Trendy, fashionable, sleek and modern it is, practical it is not.
I bought this kettle for 54.99, expensive for a kettle but the amount of times I pop the kettle on during tv ads and then forget to make the drink must end up costing a lot of money and damage the environment, so I decided to do my bit and go eco-friendly.
The delightful design looks attractive in a modern kitchen, and it does have the 'expensive' look, yet the 3 second hot water is not in my eyes as it has been described.
Tefal claim that hot water is dispensed to make a cup of tea or coffee, however the water appears to only be heated and not boiled. I contacted tefal as i found the product to be extremely noisy and they claimed this was usual, as it is the claris aqua filter. Not the best noise to wake your household with when making your morning brew. With regards...

An Elegant Kettle
Review of Tefal Elegance Jug Kettle by
ellmont
Advantages: Attractive design, quick boil
Disadvantages: Cannot see the water level easily
...When my daughter moved into her own house one of the things she needed was a kettle, and I decided that I would buy her one. She had quite a modern kitchen, white with brushed metal handles, so I knew I wanted to get quite a modern style kettle. I started off by looking at what kettles were available and quickly decided that Stainless Steel was the way to go. There were numerous kettles available but I decided to go for a mid price jug kettle (I paid £19.99 for this one in May 2005) and from a brand I knew (and trusted), Tefal.
Appearance
I chose this kettle partly for its looks, it is quite elegant looking, as it name suggests! The main body of the jug is brushed stainless steel, so no worries about it looking messy with fingerprints (a problem with shiny stainless steel) or if it got scratched. The handle, spout, lid and base are all...

Not my cup of tea
Review of Tefal BR303844 Quickcup by
Nicki2964
Advantages: Energy saving, easy to use
Disadvantages: Water dispensed is hot - not boiling. Noisy
...This seemed like a fantastic idea because as a mum with 2 small children, I am forever boiling the kettle - getting distracted & having to reboil it again to make my cups of tea ( of which there are many)
Tefal claim that this machine will save 65% of your energy, compared to using a standard kettle as it only heats the water needed for your cuppa. This makes it much more environmentally friendly than your regular kettle, plus it can also dispense cold filtered water, saving the need for bottled water if that's your thing. Actually the 'cold' water is at room temperature as it is not a chiller.
It is extremely easy to fill and use and takes up less space on my worktop than the seperate filter jug & kettle that I currently use. however, that's about as positive as I can be.
When you read the booklet inside the box, you discover...

Tefal Quick Cup
Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by
rugbyrhino1965
Advantages: Filtered water
Disadvantages: Not as hot as a normal kettle
...I bought this item in August 2007 as i have a lead feed pipe to my home so I was really attracted to the idea of have filtered water straight from a "kettle". Having got the unit home and rinsed through it was put to work making a brew of both Tea and Coffee.
My wife is the Tea drinker and was a litlle disapointed that the water was not as hot as a normal kettle and the Tea bag needed agitation to ensure that sufficient flavour was gained. On the coffee side I was happy that the instant powder was not scorched as this does make the drink bitter. I did agree that the drink was not as hot as usual but soon worked out the secret of the Quick Cup.... the first few seconds of water are not as hot as the rest. I seems that the unit works like a combi-water heater in your home and need to run for a short period to reach full heat.
I have...

NOT BOILING BUT DAMN CLOSE TO IT.
Review of Tefal BR303844 Quickcup by
WELLHAPPY
Advantages: SPEED, CONVENIENCE, NO WASTE, MINIMUM WATER HEATED
Disadvantages: NOT QUITE BOILING. EXPENSIVE FILTERS
...Received as a present for last Christmas. Put away the kettle the same day and it hasn't come out of the cupboard since. I think this is a very good product and now cannot imagine being without it.
I agree the water is not quite boiling. Personally I stop the machine after 2 seconds. Swish the hot water round the mug and pour away - then immediately fill the mug with the machine, adding the tea bag and sugar as it fills. A few stirs, add a little milk and you have a good hot cup of tea. Not boiling but hot enough to have to sip it.
If you insist - then put it into the microwave for a few seconds it would still be quicker and less electricity wasteful than the kettle.
We already had a water filter jug so we use this to fill the Tefal container with filtered water and don't bother changing the expensive Tefal filter. We also use...

Review of Tefal Vitess Gold Kettles by
Toady
Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: None
....
The kettle features a gold element inside the base, which helps prevent limescale.
It is a cordless, high speed kettle. It has a swivel base so the kettle can be replaced at any angle and moved around 360 degrees.
It can be a little noisey at first (likely due to the fast boil action), but soon calms down to a gentle boiling sound. When the water is boiled the on button rises up and makes a definite click sound, so it is quite clear when the water is ready.
My father bought this kettle from Comet and it cost him £39.99.
It is most likely available in all department stores, and comes with a two year guarantee.
The Tefal Vitesse Gold is definitely the best kettle I have owned and would recommend it to anyone. It is efficient and very stylish.
Thanks for reading....
