Reviews of tefal kettle
This Tefal Could Be Lethal
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
mickeydumville
Advantages: Stylish Looks & Cord Storage In Base
Disadvantages: Care Needed When Pouring Boiling Water
...on paper they did! The cheapest model on the shelf was £24.99 and I wasn't having that. Sticking to my original price and my spirits down I returned to the car. I couldn't go all night without a brew, besides my free Yorkshire tea bags had arrived and being new to ciao I'd pencilled them in as my second review.
Tesco are the next nearest supermarket so off I went. The only item in my price range was the Tefal Delphina cordless kettle priced at £14.99. Decision time, did I waste more petrol and travel a fair distance to Asda, or did I buy the Tefal which after all was in the price range I had set myself, even if it was only by a penny? You've guessed it, as I'm reviewing the kettle I bought it.

Tefal Elegance Automatic Cordless Kettle
Review of Tefal 6920511 ELEG by
colinmilne
Advantages: Stainless Steel Kettle for Bargain Price
Disadvantages: Metal Body can burn!
...Well my classic Russell Hobbs K2 kettle finally bit the dust and I was forced to go looking for a replacement. I spotted this Tefal in the Big W on special offer at £19.99 (May 2004) and immediately thought it a bargain.
It's a jug type design with the main vessel in polished stainless steel with the base, spout and handle in a durable black matt plastic. The finish on the whole product is excellent with no rough edges either on the metal or plastic mouldings. The handle feels lovely and the whole kettle is well balanced.
The plastic lid click locks on a quarter turn and this takes a little getting used to. It's designed to keep the lid in place while pouring. The lid also incorporates a fine plastic mesh filter just on the inside of the pourer. The maximum fill level is indicated by a small plastic flag on the inside. It can...

An Elegant Kettle
Review of Tefal Elegance Jug Kettle by
ellmont
Advantages: Attractive design, quick boil
Disadvantages: Cannot see the water level easily
...When my daughter moved into her own house one of the things she needed was a kettle, and I decided that I would buy her one. She had quite a modern kitchen, white with brushed metal handles, so I knew I wanted to get quite a modern style kettle. I started off by looking at what kettles were available and quickly decided that Stainless Steel was the way to go. There were numerous kettles available but I decided to go for a mid price jug kettle (I paid £19.99 for this one in May 2005) and from a brand I knew (and trusted), Tefal.
Appearance
I chose this kettle partly for its looks, it is quite elegant looking, as it name suggests! The main body of the jug is brushed stainless steel, so no worries about it looking messy with fingerprints (a problem with shiny stainless steel) or if it got scratched. The handle, spout, lid and base...

a kettle that works
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
flupen
Advantages: boils fast, easy to fill, cheap
Disadvantages: only in white or green
...I have not been having much luck with kettles in the last year.
My trusty old kettle went “poof” one morning as I was waiting for my morning brew and I replaced in with a very elegant Swan kettle. This lasted less than four months before it too “poofed” out of the life. Of course, I has lost the receipt and had to just bite the bullet and by another one.
I went to Currys for no other reason than it was close. In there, I chose a Tefal Delfina in white. I could have purchased it in an odd green shade but it did not appeal to me.
The white one is great. It has an orange on/ off button with is luminous when on.
The shape of the kettle is good. The lid is hinged but opens wide to allow for easy filling.
It is cordless, which I prefer and has a reasonably short lead from the base unit to the plug...

A Metal Kettle
Review of Tefal 6920511 ELEG by
Collingwood21
Advantages: Stylish design, Very robust
Disadvantages: Expensive, Exterior gets very hot
...that metal kettles become finger-burningly hot when you boil water in them, unlike plastic kettles that are insulators, and therefore just remain pleasantly warm to the touch. Can you see where I am going with this? Yes, a major downside with the Tefal 6920511P is that it is a dangerous thing to have in your kitchen if you have children – or clumsy sods like me – roaming around. I have lost count of the number of times that my hands have slipped when picking this kettle up (I refer you back to the point where I said it was very heavy) and I have singed my fingers on it.
I have also found a slight problem with the lid of my kettle – you see, it doesn’t fit terribly well into the spout. This is fine when you are boiling the kettle, but when pouring it, I have found that the lid sometimes falls out when you tip...

Quick cuppa with the Tefal QuickCup
Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by
dbarcl10
Advantages: Warm water in 3 secs, energy saving
Disadvantages: Doesn't boil water
...The Tefal Quick Cup is a type of kettle, but instead of boiling a whole kettle of water to make a single cup of tea, the Quick Cup heats only the amount of water required, therefore saving energy. Tefal claims that a cup of hot water takes only 3 seconds and I was sceptical at first, but its true.
The machine itself is mainly black with a stainless steel control panel on top, and has 2300w of power. The machine is made from high quality plastic, so is easily cleaned with a wet cloth. The water tank holds 1.5 litres of water, and has space for a Claris water filter if required (one comes in the box).
One touch of the red button on the top of the machine provides a steady flow of hot water, enough to fill an average sized mug. If you want less, just press the red button again. For more, either press the red button once again...

3 second kettle...i think not!
Review of Tefal BR303844 Quickcup by
pages3
Advantages: energy saving, very quick
Disadvantages: noisy, clouds water, water not boiling
...Trendy, fashionable, sleek and modern it is, practical it is not.
I bought this kettle for 54.99, expensive for a kettle but the amount of times I pop the kettle on during tv ads and then forget to make the drink must end up costing a lot of money and damage the environment, so I decided to do my bit and go eco-friendly.
The delightful design looks attractive in a modern kitchen, and it does have the 'expensive' look, yet the 3 second hot water is not in my eyes as it has been described.
Tefal claim that hot water is dispensed to make a cup of tea or coffee, however the water appears to only be heated and not boiled. I contacted tefal as i found the product to be extremely noisy and they claimed this was usual, as it is the claris aqua filter. Not the best noise to wake your household with when making your morning brew...

Sports car curves on a kettle
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
mrnasty10
Advantages: Simple to set up
Disadvantages: Dribbles when full
...Our old jug type kettle decided to up and die on us on the weekend, so off we trotted to Comet to find a relacement.
We spotted this one in a line of kettles, and really chose this one for 3 main reasons:
o It was competitively priced (cheap!)
o We already had the toaster so it fitted in
o We had found our previous jug kettle very useful
The kettle cost us just under £17 so it didn't break the bank. Now we could have spent anything up to £50 for a glass kettle, but hey, when all it needs to do is boil water, what is the point!
We chose the white kettle to fit in with the rest of the kitchen gadgets.
After reading the fairly detailed instructions (which is unusual for me) I removed the packaging and as suggested, boiled the kettle twice. This apparantly ensures that anything getting into the kettle during transit is removed...

Its only a kettle at the end of the day
Review of Tefal Delfina Jug Kettle by
mrmick
Advantages: It does the job
Disadvantages: Can be messy when pouring
...Every now and again my wife decides that something isn't working the way it should, so we have to get a replacement regardless of what I say. Our previous kettle boiled - so what if it took about 5 minutes to do it, it did the job didn't it. Anyway, enough of my ramblings.
I spotted this one in a line of kettles, and really chose this one for 2 main reasons:
o It was cheap!
o It looked ok
The kettle cost us just under £20, so it didn't break the bank. Kettles these days seem to come in all shapes and sizes (with prices to match! One of them was £60! - why spend that much to boil water)
After reading the instructions, I boiled the kettle twice. This apparantly ensures that anything getting into the kettle during transit is removed and the kettle is thoroughly cleaned.
As with most kettles with removeable filters...

Tefal Quick Cup - Stylish - 65% energy saving
Review of Tefal CCQH2 Quick CUP by
fatcatz123
Advantages: Quick, very efficient, easy to clean, in the long-term saves you money
Disadvantages: would be nice if there was a cup/mug size selection, if used, filters not cheap.
...Great efficiency, as the only tea drinker in the household, this product is extremely efficient - hot water in only 3 seconds - it does puff & blow a bit (similar to the noises made on Red Mountain coffee adverts!).
Tefal claims energy saving up to 65% , compared to a standard kettle.
I work shifts and often come in from work, put the kettle on and then wander off distracted, waiting for it to boil, frequently I would come back to the kettle and find it had cooled so i would have to switch it on again - wasting electricity.
The whole item is reasonably smart looking - clear/black/stainless - not an ugly thing to have on the worktop.
The model I have has two buttons on the top, one to just have filtered water, the other you either press once to have a mug full delivered, or keep your finger on the button and let go when you...
