Makes ironing a breeze
Review of Tefal FV 8115 Turbo PRO 525 by
susangoodfellow
Advantages: Non drip system that really works
Disadvantages: Slightly heavier than some other irons
...I bought this iron to replace my old one which broke after I knocked it off the ironing board.
I was determined to have another tefal, they are the best in my opinion. The problem was, which model should I buy.
After spending ages looking at the different models I decided that this one has everything I need.
This iron has variable steam and shot of steam for those hard to remove creases.
Water spray as well if you need it.
You can also steam clothing or curtains vertically, handy for quickly decreasing a shirt for instance.
It has an anti calc valve which allows for self cleaning, you just fill with water and heat for 5 minutes, then remove the valve and hold over the sink letting the water drain through the soleplate. This removes any scale from inside the iron and cleans out the soleplate holes.
This is recommended...

Tefal gv8150 pro express turbo, the best tefal yet
Review of Tefal GV 8150 by
cat1510
Advantages: Continuous steam, 2 minutes heat up, great steam output and great finish
Disadvantages: cleaning required on a regular basis
...I run a small ironing business and I have used many tefal irons in my time. I can honestly say that the GV8150 is the best yet. It give a great finish to clothes in half the time and is ideal for large or small loads. The steam output is great for all fabrics and the turbo boost of steam really helps with stubborn creases.
Another advantage is that it has continuous steam so you can carry on ironing even if you run out of water. This has come a long way from the lesser steam generators when you had to wait for the steam to settle before opening it to refill it. This was time consuming and quite dangerous for the ones who tried to speed the process up(a few minor scalds on my hands on occassions)
It also heats up in about two minutes so can be used for a couple of shirts without having to wait forever. It is durable, as so far I...

Turbo Iron
Review of Tefal 2710 Turbo PRO 400 by
jules.34
Advantages: Gets the clothes ironed - plenty of steam
Disadvantages: Leaks water
...I needed a new iron and as my last one had been a cheap one and hadn't lasted, I wanted to spend a bit more on this one so that it would last. I have a 3 year old so I am always ironing - the last thing I want now is to keep replacing my iron.
I went into Comet and spent a while looking at different types of irons. I wanted a steam one as they're quicker and better at getting the clothes ironed.
I settled on the Tefal 2710 Turbo PRO 400, and at almost £50, it wasn't cheap, but I figured it would be a good investment as it would last the test of time and save me buying a lot of cheap ones.
There is a self-cleaning function on this iron too, and while it does what it says, I still find that I have to take a cloth to it myself every now and again.
So far, it has lasted and been a durable iron. It steams well and gets the clothes...

MAN, IVE GOT MY SELF A PRO !!
Review of Tefal 4294114 PRO Express Turbo by
micheledog
Advantages: Leaves more time for more important things
Disadvantages: you dont want to share it.
...To begin
I have to make one thing very, very clear !!
Probably like most ciao members,
I HATE IRONING !!!!!!
I have always tried to buy the best iron I could afford, always having a feeling you get what you pay for. I've bought a few I can tell you.
And I haven't always got what I've paid for, I can assure you,
Because of my hate for ironing, I am prepared to pay any amount for to make it easier and less time consuming,
(I'm hoping Tomclaire will find me a robot) sorry Tom x x
Back to my review
I sat browsing through my kays catalogue, when I came across it,
MY TEFAL PRO TURBO STEAM GENERATOR.
You see my love for irons, are like a man and his love for cars.
I sat and dreamed about what life would be like with a steam generator.
I was trying to warrant spending £224.00 on a new iron.
Feeling guilty, I tried to give myself excuses...

GV 8160 WHY FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKEN?
Review of Tefal GV 8160 PRO Express Turbo by
cat1510
Advantages: STILL A GREAT STEAM GENERATOR, GREAT FEATURES, GREAT FINISH IN HALF THE TIME
Disadvantages: TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IS AN OLD MODEL IN NEW COLOURS
...As the owner of a small ironing business I have had my share of trial and error with different ironing system. I have, however found that the Tefal range and especially the Tefal pro express GV8150 was the best one I have had. Well, to my surprise, Tefal have got a new version. Just had to get it (well business expense and all) and see if the new and improved version would once again enrich my lonely days of ironing.
Decided to order it and wait with trepidation for the delivery(have to get the excitement where you can). Once it had arrived, end of the day as usual, I couldn't wait to try it out so I got some of my own ironing and got going(yes sucker for punishment, I know). All my previous experiences with new versions was always a treat as they always had something more to offer. I opened the box to unravel a very similar...

Steaming wonderful
Review of Tefal 4294114 PRO Express Turbo by
Allthegoodnameshavebeentaken
Advantages: Powerful steam, Don't have to keep refilling with water.
Disadvantages: None
...As others before me, I debated with myself the wisdom of spending so much money on an iron ( even though I bought it half price from Amazon). However, as i spend a large proportion of my time ironing, I felt that anything which made it more bearable would be a worthwhile investment.
I paid around £115 from Amazon and had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery. I found though that I had to buy a new ironing board to suit it so I bought the tefal one from currys at £30.
I have it now for 6 months and haven't touched my ordinary iron since. I just love the powerful steam that cuts through creases - particularly jeans. Some items can be hung up and vertical steam can sort them out. The water tank lasts about an hour of ironing and can be taken off and refilled without having to switch everything off. So continuous ironing, instead...

Nice Iron to use
Review of Tefal FV 8210 AQUA Turbo 210 by
ruth1957
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: none
...I have recently purchased a new iron and it is the Tefal FV 8210 Aqua Turbo 210. The colour of the iron is blue. It is a typical steam iron. It has no removable tank so you have to fill it up very carefully with a jug which could be a disavantage but I have not found it a problem. The plus factor is it does not build up with limescale. The maximum wattage is 2400 .Also the iron is not cordless but it is very easy to use with a very easy to grip handle. Has it is a traditional steam iron the steam and spray comes out vertical. The cost of the iron is between £30-£40 pounds so it is best that you shop around. It is quite a large iron and it is not a travel iron only for home use....

Tefal Pro Express Turbo Steam Generator Iron.
Review of Tefal 4294114 PRO Express Turbo by
choochoochick
Advantages: Laughs in the face of ironing!
Disadvantages: Pricy, but worth it.
...I have just tried out my brand new steam generator iron, and am so impressed that I really must reccommend this product!
I did wonder about spending such a lot on an iron (I paid 200!), but I am just starting a little ironing business from home so thought I could justify the expense.
Firstly the features. 150g per minute continuous steam, 170g turbo steam shot. This might not mean anything to you as it didn't to me, so let me explain.
A normal iron makes a little bit of steam, but seems to stop and start. This beast of an iron makes steam continuously (which is released when you press and hold the steam button), and it is generated with such power as to turn the iron into an hovercraft!! It can also be used as a vertical steamer for tricky garments, meaning you leave them hung up and blast with steam.
The flex has an auto...

An iron is an iron is an iron is it not
Review of Tefal 2710 Turbo PRO 400 by
Newfloridian
Advantages: A stylish performer - makes ironing a breeze
Disadvantages: So many choices to make
...in use. It should be reasonably aesthetically pleasing to have around the house. On the other hand a non-stick, non-scratch base plate seemed a good idea as did some form of limescale prevention. Cordless operation would have been a bonus.
After much deliberation, our chosen model was an upper range Tefal – the Turbo Pro 400 (also curiously and confusingly called model 2710). We chose to overlook where it was made (!*) but it is coloured a reasonably attractive shade of pale green (eau de nil) and white with a grey and white striped ceramic base plate. This is perforated by two rows of steam holes.
The water tank is filled from an aperture in the handle. This is shielded by a sliding cover for safety purposes. A measuring cup is provided for this. The upper body of the iron is translucent and there is a convenient mark to show...

LADIES...BETTER THAN A MULTIPLE ORGASM
Review of Tefal Ultraglide Pro Express Generator Iron by
flashpointz
Advantages: smooth, effortless ironing in a fraction of the time
Disadvantages: high price - but worth every penny
...and see all the items looking immaculate. Yet, after you get them home, wear them, wash them and iron them, they just never look quite as great as back when they were hanging in the shop. What is the secret?
My wife used to be Manager of a Ladies clothes outlet and told me that a great deal of the time they arrive in store looking no better than your wash at home, full of creases from being folded and packed in bags. But, to get those awful creases out, the stores use a high pressure steamer, that looks a little like a vacuum cleaner. Not something that has been generally available to the consumer until pretty recently.
Then came the arrival of the ‘Steam Generating Iron’ – not to be confused with an iron just giving you a ‘shot of steam’ . The TEFAL PRO EXPRESS 2500, is one such product. To all intents and purposes it looks like a regular...
