...In dire need of a machine that didn't pogo across the kitchen floor we went to Curry's and had a look around. Eventually we settled for the Hotpoint, Aquarius WF740 in silver. The washing machine I had before was OK (except the pogo'ing) and only ever went wrong once in the time I had it but this new machine is so excellent, forgive me if I go on a bit. x THE FEATURES My favourite feature of the Hotpoint WF740 is the digital display. It is an LED display in red and shows up really well when you turn the machine on. I just bought a second hand 740iL

Advantages: Size, Power, sheer luxury, brilliant handling, huge boot, silky V8 Engine
Disadvantages: Some reliability issues, fuel consumption, maintenance

The first night I had it, it lost all its power steering fluid. The second day, it overheated in traffic in London 3 times. A week later, I again lost p/s fluid. It is going in for repairs tomorrow, which leaves me nervous, due to the high cost of parts. Volvo 740 Estate - A Great Safe Family Car

Advantages: Safe, lots of extras, reasonable insurance, easy to drive
Disadvantages: A bit high on petrol

...We recently decided that our car was too small for our family and that an estate would be a much better proposition. Eventually we decided on a Volvo Estate and were delighted when an F Reg 740SE came into our local paper. Anyway we bought it and it is a great car. I have never driven such a big car but due to the automatic gear box and power assisted steering it is very easy and light to drive. I had never driven an automatic or power assisted car before and was a bit hesitant but it was no problem. We have a young daughter and we certainly feel very comfortable and safe in this car. It has loads of room in it and we can even put her pram in without having to take it apart. This particular model has electric windows, electric sunroof, electric wing mirrors and heated front seats! M740 - small,stylish and takes a great photo!

Advantages: Loads of easy to use setting, nice colous, good photos and nice screen.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

...When on the camera and looking through the different scenes, if you stay on one for a moment it will tell you more information about this scene and how it works, which is very useful to make sure you are using the right setting! That's all the technical mumbo-jumbo out of the way, so onto what I think of the camera! Firstly I love the colour, it is electric blue, and I am forever receiving complements about it! You can buy it in two other colours, silver and electric pink which is also gorgeous!! The colour has also withstood the test of time after being dropped, thrown, stepped on, sat on?.you name it!! It really is in near perfect condition after all of that, and you can only notice very minor marks around the edges! Advantages: light, compact easy to use, excellent optical zoom
Disadvantages: no external mic or light no remote

...I bought one of these 3 weeks ago to go on holiday. I also bought a spare battery off ebay (£11). I am a bit new to camcorders, only having an ancient Sony before. So having fiddled around with the settings managed to produce the first tape in absolute silence. So then I read the book, and got the soung working again, (my fault) The 740 is AMAZING. even the standard (808)battery will run off 2 tapes before giving up. and the bigger (815)spare battery lasted the rest of the holiday which took another 3 tapes (60 min) and didnt run out. Back home connecting to the PC was easy and I just let Pinnacle Studio do all the work. Editing is simple using it. And the results were great. Kodak Z740

Advantages: Nice Design, Functions Easy, Great Pictures.
Disadvantages: Lens Cap, Battery is not rechargable

...I have owned three Kodak cameras and one Fuji and this is the best so far. Before this camera I used the Z760 and I didn't like it as much as the Z740 even though it is a 6.1 megapixel camera. Outside pictures are beautiful and indoor with low or no light are very nice. The 10x optical is where I found this camera to shine. The adjustments are easy even for a beginner and the pictures that come out will definately impress even the professional. When the lens adjusts to the scenery it is a bit slow sometimes but nothing a beginner would even notice. But I am very impressed with the Kodak optics. I have taken 8 x 10 pictures with this camera. The clarity that comes from the pictures is amazing. One picture I took and blew up to 8 x 10 was in my living room in almost total darkness and it came out beautiful as if it was well...
