You can also call to register on 0845 070 0707 The UK, for whatever wisdom, has determined that you may register you preference to not receive those frustrating 'cold' calls from sales and marketing companies. Note - unless you actively opt out via this service, you are deemed to have opted in if *any* company has legitimately acquired your contact details !!!! The Data Protection Act stops much of your personal details being passed around without you permission, but how many times have you carefully read those tiny messages on forms and ticked the box to stop this? Did you know that there is no regulation that says you have a consistent tick to opt in or opt out? One tick might stop your telephone number and personal details being passed on... Read review

...as it is called “dual telephone” is composed of 2 telephones : the main handset and the second one. Both are the same ; the difference is the base station which owns the answering machine. The fronts of the handsets are steel grey and the bodies : white. There is a screen where indications appear written in black. The backlight colour of the screen is amber. You can write only one line of text but it’s quite enough. The keys are round and oval. The main base of the telephone is steel grey too and it bigger as it, as I told you, holds the answering machine. The base of the second handset is smaller. The thing I appreciate is that antennas are integrated on bases and on handsets so you don’t have to leave them out to hear properly ! That’s new for me and it’s easier to use. ...to connect to the Skype network I was offered to enter details or create a new account. After choosing a Skype user name I was prompted for a password twice. And that was it. 2 minutes. This proved even for setup you don't actually need a computer at all. From that point onwards I really don't need to spend anytime on connecting because it was so easy. If you have previously created a list of Skype contacts they are displayed or you can search for people. You just dial and once connected your off chatting away! As with Skype normally the quality of the call was very good but keep reading to find one of the drawbacks with this handset. Also just one quick final note that is more Skype related than the handset. When I signed up for Skype I got a free "normal" phone call voucher. With this you can ring a standard telephone via Skype. This was one of the reasons we went for a twin set as we could page the other handset should we misplace it. ...My partner bought these telephones because he's gadget mad, I just thought it was yet another toy until I started using them. They have Earpiece and Loudspeaker volume, Handsfree and a Secrecy button. The Paging function is very useful, you just press the 'Page' button on the base and this will alert anyone with the other handset that they are needed, although paging calls cannot be answered by the handset. This function is also good for locating a missing handset! Besides having normal telephone functions they have a Phone Book which you can access on the keypad, the listings are in alphabetical order and you can store up to 40 listings. ..., with no external noises you can barely hear the phone ring! The same is true of the alarm clock function which for some really odd reason is very quiet and would definitely not wake up a heavy sleeper! I have tried for 3 days to find a way of changing the alarm to make it louder but there is no volume control for the alarm specifically and thus far I have failed. This brings me to the only real gripe I have about this phone. The sound quality is not brilliant. The speaker volume and sound clarity during telephone conversations is great, crystal clear, but the sound quality for Video playback, ringtones (other than standard and midi tones) & Mp3's is really is dreadful and really does let this great little phone down. ...The diverse 3016 classic is a digital cordless telephone and answering machine. The phone is black and stands in the base/answering machine. With it been a cordless phone you do not have to stand in one place to chat and can move around whilst chatting. With it been digital, your phone calls are very clear and you do not get any crackling noises like you do with some telephones. On the base/answering machine are all the function buttons for the answering machine. These buttons are:- Skip Back Skip Forward Play Delete Stop Record Page Volume Up Volume Down Active Signal With the telephone you get one handset, but you can have up to 6 altogether.
