New Opinion - Temple Bar - The Never Ending Party
Advantages: The friendliest city in Europe
Disadvantages: Weather - lots of "liquid" sunshine
...~ ~ Mention the words “Temple Bar” to anyone from Europe or North America, and immediately you are likely to be regaled by stories of the wild time they have had while visiting this trendiest of bohemian districts in Ireland’s capital Dublin, or else how much they really want to go and pay a visit, as they’ve heard so much about it from their friends.
What is incredible about this is that as little as twenty years or so ago this district was nothing better than a run down (and fast becoming derelict) slum, right in the heart of the city, and not a stone’s throw from the city’s premier street, O’Connell Street.
A decision by the then Government to redevelop it as an entertainment and shopping area was almost laughed at, but has since proved its undoubted wisdom, as this district alone is...

Temple Church: A Curious Congregation of Knights and Lawyers
Advantages: Excellent original features. Beautiful interior restoration.
Disadvantages: Variable opening hours
...INTRODUCTION
Ever since reading Sir Walter Scott?s ?Ivanhoe? as a pre-teen, I have been fascinated by knights, especially the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, or the Knights Templar as they are more colloquially known. Their white mantle with the blood red cross emblazoned on it inspired childhood daydreams of glorious battles, war horses and many a damsel saved from distress. Of course, in those days, I didn?t really know much about their past. That, and the fascination that arose from it, was down to a Medieval History course at university taught by a very passionate professor, who opened my eyes to the rich and chequered history of one of the most important and amazing military organisations the world has ever known.
Then Dan Brown came along and popularised the Grail legend in ?The Da Vinci Code...

The great Temple :oP
Advantages: Great fun
Disadvantages: None
..., its is Isaac?s hostel ha! Ha!
When we had unpacked we asked a lady where the best place to go was and she directed us to the Temple bar, we decided that was where we were going to go for our 1st night.
After getting reading and being really excited to be in Dublin we made our way to the Temple bar. We thought it was just 1 bar and it wasn?t?it was a whole street of bars, pubs and clubs. It was great! We went into most of them. There was so many I can?t even remember them, but the two I do remember are Jesters and Down under. I really don?t want to comment on the wrest of the holiday as it might get me into trouble ;) Best keep my secrets between me, Kerry and Dublin ;)
Just walking through the Temple bar was great. It was very friendly and it was full of people. There were a few people playing music for money and there were people...

The temple dedicated to the God Horus.
Advantages: A beautifully preserved temple.
Disadvantages: Can get very hot and very crowded with tourists.
...Temple of Edfu.
The great temple of Edfu is situated on the West bank of the Nile River in Egypt. It was built on top of an even more ancient temple between the years 237BC and 57 BC during the time of the Ptolemaic Dynasty and the reign of Cleopatra. Edfu was an ancient city of about 60,000 people and it was believed that it may have been a major site for people setting out on their journeys into the desserts. It is the best preserved temple in Eygpt built of sandstone and it is quite large. It is the second largest and best preserved temple in Egypt.
The story of Horus the Falcon God,
It is dedicated to the God Horus. Horus was considered a Falcon God of the Sky he was also considered as other Gods too and there is some confusion of who he was as different names were used to describe the same person. Horus represented life...

Whip around the temple of Peril!
Advantages: Fun and one of the only two coasters in this park
Disadvantages: Queues can get long in peak seasons
...When myself and my hubby went to Disneyland Paris there were various attractions that we loved - I have already written a review on the Aerosmith rollercoaster that we loved and a close second is the Indiana Jones and the temple of Peril rollercoaster. This is high speed coaster with loops and drops and is suitable for those who like fast rides.
Which park is it in?
This coaster is located in the main Disneyland Park and is in the Adventure land section of the park. Adventure land is at the back of the park on the left hand side and so it is one of the attractions that is furthest from the entrance gates of the park!
What kind of ride is it?
The ride is of course a roller coaster if you hadn?t already guessed that from the title of the ride! However it is on a much smaller scale than what the Aerosmith coaster is...

Handy For Sunday Services (Or Temple Bar!)
Advantages: Very centrally located, good standard 3-star hotel with reasonable prices
Disadvantages: A bit noisy if you get a front facing room
...This Jury's Inn, one of three in Dublin city, is ideally located for accessing the city centre, as are all Jury's Dublin Inns) It's situated in Christchurch Place, about 5 minutes walk from the drinking dens of Temple Bar (heh, heh) and Grafton Street (the main shopping area) and College Green. (Trinity College and the Central Bank) Dublin Castle is about one minute's walk and the Guinness Hop Store, the single most visited tourist attraction in the city (by far!) is only about ten minutes brisk walk away.
It's also directly opposite Christchurch Cathedral, and just around the corner from St. Patrick's Cathedral. So you're ideally located whatever your preference; a night on the tiles, followed by a Sunday service the following morning to confess your sins of the night before. Mind you, both the city's main Cathedrals are...

The Mighty Mars Bar
Advantages: Classic chocolate bar
Disadvantages: They changed the nougat filling
...This is perhaps the most classic chocolate bar from my childhood. It has long been my favourite as a kid and I sort of have to say it still is so as not to feel as if I have disowned it (sorry Mars Bar but I have found other favourites - I still love you though!).
'A Mars a day helps you work rest and play' - this was the little catchphrase that was associated with Mars Bar. Funny really; it's like saying a chocolate bar a day is good for you. The slogan has now changed to 'Pleasure you can't measure' which definitely seems more appropriate.
A standard Mars bar comes at 58g, about 11cm long and 1.8cm high. You'll pay about 32p for this bar in supermarkets which is well below the norm of 50p. They used to be more expensive but in recent years, the classic nougat and caramel filling has obviously lost its appeal as new and more...

Temple of Karnak-among the best sites in Egypt
Advantages: Intricately detailed temple
Disadvantages: Crowds of tourists
...with another two backpackers and settled down into a hostel.
The two boys obviously hadn't had my traumatic experience coming down on the train, having gone first class and were all psyched up to go and see some temple or other. I waved them off saying I was knackered and would catch up with them later and we could head to Valley of the Kings tomorrow together and went to lie down in our room. At this point I realised why all the touts at the railway station had been shouting about air-conditioning which we did not have. I am no stranger to heat and have been in many tropical countries and everyone has always said that the humid heat is the worst yet I have never experienced the intensity of that dry heat in Luxor and other places along the edges of the Sahara. After 15 minutes I gave up, grabbed a guidebook to see that the boys had marked they...
