...Elv1s 30 Number 1 hits delivers exactly what it says in the title. This CD is my hubbies and i must say I have been very plesantly suprised by the songs featured on it. Advantages: Lots of tracks ranging through the years.

...I bought this album for myself when Elvis was coming back into fashion with the general masses when the single "A little less conversation" was released. You would think the title of the album being 30 No. 1's all the classics would be on there but i was sadly mistaken. Its funny to not find certain songs on there that you would definetly think were hits. The cd is accompanied by a inner booklet that gives track listings and a small explanation about when each song was released and what era,who wrote them etc. At the back you have a section by which you can order Elvis merchandise. You can even apply for an Elvis credit card!!! All the songs on the album are good but to get a better idea of how good Elvis really was you need to delve further than just a best of album. Advantages: More great tracks of popular songs sung by original & alternate artists

...I was recently bought this compilation CD as a gift from my partner, as he knew I loved the first one that was bought out last year. So with a flurry of excitment I stuck it in the player and began flicking through the tracks to get a feel for which ones I knew or not as the case may be. This is a habit have when getting a new CD - flick through them quickly then re play the tracks i know / like in full. I have to say I was not disappointed with this sequel and there were very few tracks I didn't like. Once again it is a double CD, with 40 tracks to tickle your taste buds. Cover art is nothing to get excited about, but it does the job. To be fair you don't buy a CD for it's cover, however i do get attracted to ones that are bright and interesting. ...in the song which perhaps you hadn't noticed when Nadine and her girls sing. It also great to hear the sniggers and giggles as they struggle to hit the high notes or leave one band member to sing on his own! Boy Kill Boy who are a great up and coming indie band cover Nelly Furtado's recent number one, Maneater. However at first its barely recognisable as their put their own spin on the song. Will young manages to turn the comedic Hey Ya by Outkast into a soulful and unforgettable track - he's certainly more than a reality tv show star showing his talent at protraying the lyrics with emotion. Keane Cover U2's With or Without you, an all time great song, which you would almost cringe at the thought of someone else trying to do. Advantages: PURE DIGITAL SOUND
Disadvantages: I WISH IT WAS PORTABLE

...I have been living with my Pure Digital Tempus 1 now for about a year and it's wonderful. The sound quality is just great and I am always amazed that all that sound can come from just one small speaker. It has enabled me to listen to a large number of MW/LW stations with a new quality of sound that I could only have once listened to with a slightly muffled sound or not at all. Now I can fall asleep with luxury. The Tempus is a Digital DAB radio but with the added advantage of it being an clock radio. The Tempus measures 210 mm width x 175 mm height x 110 mm depth.and has a lovely light wood surround case, this I have been told is to give a much better quality sound (please let me know if I have got that wrong) and a silver coloured front with a silver handle for easy carrying this handle also doubles as a snooze handle... ...Yes i know it's a bit early but,i've started to get the festive feeling so i don't care. What is it about the annual race for the coveted christmas No 1 spot in the charts.Every year we get the bookies giving their odds on who they think will get there(there are rarely wrong),yet you try and get a bet at any other time of the year on the charts - no chance,then everyone becomes interested in the charts whereas the rest of the year they don't give a toss. The actual songs are,with a few exceptions,utterly crass,what do i mean?.Well what about Mr Blobby,Bob The Builder,Benny Hill,Scaffold,Spice Girls,St Winifrid's School Choir,need i say more,there have been some good ones though such as The Beatles,Queen,Pink Floyd. ...For those unaware of the premise of 'Kirsty1's Slam Dunkin' Rip-Off Poetry Challenge', the aim is to take a classic poem and alter it humorously. I really wanted to take 'Address of Beelzebub' by Robert Burns and turn it into 'Address of Baalzamon' but, as I'm sure you can appreciate, Burns's poems are not the easiest poems to work with! So, I've chosen a somewhat easier and considerably shorter poem to rip-off - 'Leisure' by William Henry Davies.
