...On a saturday night not so long ago, I decided to stay in and watch TV instead of going on the web. I have seen Top Ten advertised in the magazine and it looked very interesting. But how dissapointed I was. Don't get me wrong, it is a good programme to watch, but the music acts in the Top Ten are not voted by the public, but by someone in the Channel 4 studios, so basically you watch someones Top Ten, and you don't even know whos. The one I watched was about Concert Rock. The number one spot was reserved for Aerosmith. I like Aerosmith, but I think the number one should be someone more popular, like AC/DC or Bon Jovi. In fact, all the Top Tens I have watched were a bit unfair in giving out their places from 1 to 10. Richie Blackmore is a very good guitarist and they put him on number 9. ...When I first saw ten foot pole, the pleasure I felt inside was unreal, I never imagined it could be so good, the crowd went wild. I only originally went because my friend begged me too, so I went along to see what all the fuss was about I wasn't disappointed, it was amazing I've never been so tired in all my life. After I had recovered and it did take a while I went out and bought this so I could experience some Ten Foot Pole in my home. I like to call the tracks on the album the 12 different ways to enjoy pole, as each track on the album is refreshingly different, 1.: Getaway Getaway, I wish I could after experiencing this I was out for the count it was so intense, amazing. ...I thought it was time to start putting some of my Top Ten lists, some of which have over 10,000 page views on... er... another site :-D, onto Ciao. No doubt you'll disagree with some, many, or all of my choices - but that's life, eh? Criteria ------------ Before I begin, it's worth mentioning why I've included some series of films or mini-series. My criteria is, if the whole series is based on a single book, I will allow it. The only exception to this rule is the Star Wars Trilogy (Star Wars, The Empire Stirkes Back, Return of the Jedi) - but these do follow the same characters, and a particular story thread weaves its way through all three films, even though each on is complete on its own. I have also tried to pick movies that have an appeal more generally than just to fans of the particular genre they represent... Read review

...Ten17 was Harlow and East Herts local FM Radio Station playing a mixture of music 24 hours per day 7 day a week. It is now known as Mercury FM and is now a part of the Mercury group. Presenters and programming schedules remain largely unchanged and they continue to provide a local service. I regularly wake up to the dulcet tones of Gary Mulligan on his breakfast show and take part in some of the on air competitions too. For a local radio station it must score at least 8 out of 10. I can't say too much about the afternoon shows as I am usually at work and can't listen to them. Mercury FM as it now is, is the channel of choice though when out in my car. They provide regular informative travel bulletins throughout the day and both local and national news stories. A useful addition to our community.... Read review

After composing a huge list, I have managed to whittle it down to the ten that I think are the best films.
