Taste of Tropical

...of the latest editions I tried is the Muller Healthy Balance Corner: Tropical and Granola. The Healthy Balance Corners have been available for a while, but only recently have they introduced the 'and Granola' range. Before trying the tropical one, I had sampled the strawberry option, which I adored. There is also a raspberry one but I am struggling to find it. With such a great success from the strawberry and granola corner though, I was looking forward to this one incredibly. These Healthy Balance options come in a pack of two, unlike the other Corners which are sold either separately or in a multi pack of six. The yoghurt, this time like the rest of the Corners, comes in a white split pot, albeit slightly smaller than usual. The cardboard sleeve around it is a bright red colour, with 'Healthy Balance' written in large white block lettering...

Totally Tropical

Advantages: Educational, unusal, great value for money

It is an intriguing combination of winter gardens and zoo with a series of expertly created landscapes such as Amazonian rainforest, Australasian desert and swamps for the visitor to explore. Curiously - sine the theme is short-lived, you embark on your trip via the "HMS Tropical World" - not a ship at all just a concept - and the first stop is a tropical beach scene; rather disappointingly there is not much to see here, just a mock up of a tropical beach. It's at this point that everyone takes off their hats and coats in preparation for the heat and humidity that lies ahead. Each ecosystem is home to the birds, fish, insects, plants and trees that would live there; obviously there are some limitations - this is not a zoo and it is all indoors so there...

A TROPICAL DELIGHT

Advantages: A great Juice for a fantastic price.

...-0- TESCO TROPICAL JUICE DRINK -0- I do most of my shopping in Tesco as it is very near my home. If I am in Brighton City Centre I will then go to Waitrose or Marks and Spencer. But to be honest, Tesco has just about everything that I could want, food wise and all under one roof. I also buy online with Tesco if I am quite busy any particular week. What I think is great about Tesco is that they offer a 'Value' range for people on a bit of a budget. These items from the value range are extremely good on the whole and excellent value too. On our last shopping trip we purchased amonst other things a 2 litre bottle of Tesco Tropical Juice Drink. It was a good size bottle and costing only 99p. I get through quite a lot of juice and usually get Tropicana or Tesco finest, which is rather expensive. But the colour of this Tropical Juice...

TROPICAL FRESHNESS

Advantages: softens clothes. leaves them smelling great

I suppose you can say that I'm as addicted to fabric softeners as I am to perfumes. I first bought Comfort Tropical Burst a month or so ago from Tesco's, the reason I immediately purchased it was because it was on a special introductory offer and only cost £0.95 for a massive 1.5litre bottle, which would last me well over a week considering it is much bigger than the usual 750ml bottles I tend to purchase. Tamaimo Terrors

...Tamaimo Tropical In June I was taken on a surprise honeymoon to Tenerife after being at a Haven Holiday for a week (but that's another story). We left from Gatwick airport flying through Direct Holidays. Everything went smoothly. My hubby had warned me that it was the cheapest one that he could find and told me that it was a 3* but he had not a clue what it was going to be like. We have ended up in a few dodgy places. We arrived at the South Airport in Tenerife at around 11pm. I felt great but we had 2 very tired and groggy toddlers with us (awww, I hear you sigh, you took your 2 children on your honeymoon, but we had my 17yr old niece, commonly referred to as "the babysitter" with us). Apartment Complex in Tenerife

Advantages: Clean and spacious apartments.
Disadvantages: Too noisy and packed around the hotel area especially around the pool.

.... I didn't like Playa d' las Americas much but the torviscas and fanabe area were lovely. Some people hire a car to get around, but to be honest if you like walking then ten minutes walk to some areas of the resort is pleasant on an nice summers' evening and afterwards we always got a taxi back to the hotel. Plenty of live entertainment everywhere. I would go back to Tenerife, but not to this particular hotel. I would prefer somewhere more quieter next time....

...My boyfriend and I visited this hotel last summer, having gotten a bargain price through Travel Republic. I think we paid around £150 for the room for the week, which was a good price for a four star hotel in Costa Adeje, one of Tenerife's more family and couple based upmarket resorts. When we arrived it all looked fairly posistive - the reception area was clean and spacious if a little dated and the welcome we received was nice if a little brusque. This became clearly the way staff talked to guests - they bordered on rude at times in spite of our efforts to speak Spanish to them because of their limited English. There was a small shop selling standards such as bottles of water and chocolate so we got some snacks (overpriced but what you expect in a hotel) after our journey and headed off to our room. A zoo for all the family! Tropical Wings

Advantages: Fun, educational
Disadvantages: Only half a day, can be crowded

...Tropical Wings is a small zoo/butterfly house and is in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. I visited for about the third time earlier today. It is near Southend and Chelmsford and the website has directions about how to get there from these places. We visited and found that it was very busy and had to go in the overflow car park, most of the visitors were elderly or families with children. It was very busy but I suppose it was because it was in the summer holiday. At the entrance is the gift shop which sells various bits and bobs but nothing particularly great. There is a desk where you pay admission fees which are £7.75 for adults and £4.75 for children and family tickets are also available at a discounted price.
