Gelert is one of the countries biggest family camping brands, and now has 30 years of experience in producing quality camping equipment. Gelert believes that being based in the heart of snowdonia, helps them to put their experiences into creating better equipment for the likes of you and I. On the Gelert website, and also everywhere i have looked ( and where i got mine from) the price of this tent is £44.99. For a four man tent, whihc holds a decent manufacturer name on the front, this is quite a reasonable price. ...I bought this tent for a 2 night stay for just myself to use. I bought it from Go Outdoors for just £25 although other websites and shops sell them at a little more than this, most of them retail at around £35. First of all it comes in a neat little carry bag which took up hardly any room at all in my car!!! I decided not to attempt putting up the tent before i went away as i normally do so i have some idea of how it goes together!! I decided it shouldn't be too difficult as it was only small....i was right, it was easy to put up and didn't take long at all. For a two man tent it has a good sized storage area or porch at the front. The ground sheet in the porch is also sewn in which saves extra faffing once the tent is up. I could easily lie down in the tent and another person would easily have fitted in there with me too... Read review

...Well, it is December, so I will write a review about a - TENT! The Gelert Eiger 3 is a three man budget tent, designed for weekend use or backpacking. It is actually only made to last between two and three seasons, but of course it depends on how you use and abuse it. The bag - this is made from the same material as the tent, and measures just 16 x 53 centimeters. It weighs four & a half Kilos, and can be worn on the back like a rucksack. Inside the bag, you will find fibreglass poles with elastic inside, these are "idiot proof" so they are easy to assemble. You will also see the tent itself, consisting of a flysheet, an inner tent with integral groundsheet, and 18 metal tent pegs. Sewn into the bag, is an instruction sheet printed on material, this is a good idea as you can not lose it. The instructions are well written... Read review

...We bought our first proper tent last year as it was at a knock down price,our thoughts behind it were if we were really skint we could still go of for a weekend with the kids for next to nothing. We purchased the marbella 6 which is made by gelert from our local camping out let and it was reduced from £100 to £79 so as far as we were concerned it was a bargain and snapped it up. The marbella 6 is a six person tent with two bedrooms and a living area in the middle, it is a dome shapped tent which allows you then to be able to stand up in the living area space in it,with a door either side of the living space you can then decide which door to open depending on what you want to be facing, both doors have a window on, it is of a green colour and has them bendy poles to erect it. ...Me and my boyfriend went away alot camping, we'd had a few tents but once we got the dog we wanted more space. So we sold our old tent and hunted for another. We decided on the Utah 4 + 4 because of the size. It is around £230 in shops but we managed to get one that had been on show off ebay for £160. We recieved the tent and put it up in my parents back garden. It was huge, there was so much space inside and plenty of windows to let light in. There was even a window at the top of the tent!! You could stand up everywhere in the tent which was brilliant. We actually went camping in it one weekend, we pulled upto the campsite and suddenly realised you had to carry the tent to wherever you camped (everywhere we'd been in the past you could park next to your pitch!!). ...Me and my boyfriend got this tent for our weeks camping trip in north wales. The tent was extremely well priced, i guess because time was taken to shop around for the best price. It was just over £80 which i thought was excellent for the product you get. The tent comes in a 3 -in-1 carry bag, with the two inner bits in one compartment, the outer tent in another compartment and the pegs, poles and repair kit in the little on in the middle. (I thought the fact that it came with a small repair kit was quite good!) When the tent is in it's carry bag it is easy to carry and not particularly heavy. Previous to our camping trip i got all the bits of the tent out and had a read of the assembly instructions. I just wanted to make sure i knew where all the poles went as the inner 4 person bedroom had to go first and i wanted... Read review

...The tent that's more like a home away form home A BIT OF BACKGROUND TO START WITH: One spring afternoon may other half and I decided to take our first holiday. We booked for 4 days and 3 nights into a hotel in Paris. 4 days and 3 nights later we were back at our respective homes, still talking to one another, still happy together and with no blood spilt, talking about how we really ought to do it again. Now I'm no fan of beachy type holidays, going to bed at 7am and getting up at 5pm, preferring instead to be a bit more down to earth and peaceful, for me a holiday should be about recharging the batteries, seeing some interesting sights and enjoying good food and drink (not grabbing a quick kebab on the way home from a night drinking vodka cocktails although this approach does have a few merits occasionally). Advantages: A fantastic story
Disadvantages: Quite female focused, not really a bloke book.

...When (if) you read the bible, you often come across characters that pop up only once, and are in the spotlight for a moment, and then disappear again... but you suspect they have more story to tell than is recorded. For example, the story of Joseph (and his 'technicolour' coat) is famous, but what do you know about his only sister? Nothing? Yeah me too! Until I read this fantastic book. Anita Diamant takes the story of Dinah, mentioned only in passing in the bible, and develops it. The result is largely an imaginative work of fiction, however, it is deeply rooted in information from other sources. For example, Joseph's time in Egypt is included, and other stories about Jacob, such as his difficult relationship with his brother Esau. The Red Tent is therefore deeply plausible as a narrative. ...Coleman Bi-Space 300 This tent is ideal for two people - for three it might be a bit pushed for space! It features a tall living space - which comes with a groundsheet and a lower smaller sleeping area. The tent is fairly easy to put up! we have even done it in the dark, the poles and loops are colour coded so you know where to thread each rod. The rods fit together nicely and have no trouble getting them through or taking them out - remember to push the rod and not pull otherwise the connections with come loose! Once all the rods are in place you can see the shape of the tent - pegging it down is very time consuming, there are lots of peg loops and a skirt which runs right around the tent...this can be folded up in the day to let air in, we tend not to use it because of all the pegs, but its comforting knowing your... ...The Coleman Savannah is a 6 person frame tent. It has an iside height of200cm high which is ample height for the average family! The tent is a kind of octagonal shape with the bedroom area taking 1 half & living area the other. We found the tent very easy to erect with colour coded steel poles which feed through from the outside of the tent, then legs attatched to lift the flysheet & place the tent in positon ready to be pegged down. There is then a groundsheet for the living area. The inner bedroom tents have an integral groundsheet & the whole thing is hung inside with colour coded hooks. What we particularly like as well is that there is a separate 'storage' area like a zipped up compartment where the cool box & bags ect can be stored.
