Advantages: dry quickly, cheaper than shaped or all in one nappies, other uses after nappy time
Disadvantages: bulkier than other types, needs a wrap

...I have already written an op on my Kooshies nappies, and there explained the saga of our switch to cloth. One day though, I was moaning to a clothie friend about how all my cloth Kooshies were damp still as I have no drier and bimbo me had neglected to bring them in before a torrential downpour. Cue DD deciding to have one of those days where she was wet all day as well, and guess what, I ran out of nappies! LOL. She came to my rescue with some terries. These are the traditional terry rectangles, but you no longer have to do fancy folds and pins if you do not wish to. You can simply fold into thirds, pop into a water resistant air bratheable wrap, pop in a liner and velcro onto baby! Woohoo! Terry is a very soft and absorbent material, but you already know this as you yourselves no doubt use terry towels upon exiting the bath...

Good old Terry

Advantages: Cheap, environmentally friendly,

...Since becoming an Auntie a few months ago, I've done my fair share (well, probably not a fair share, but a lot of) nappy changing. Although I was a little put off by the fact I couldn't just whip off a dirt nappy and strap on a new one, I was perfectly happy to cope with the routine of changing a terrys nappy. My sister always said that she wanted to use terrys nappys for her children because they are so much cheaper, environmentally friendly and personally, I think they are nicer for your baby. Think about it, would you like to have a load of cotten wool and plastic wrapped around your bum 24 7? I know that disposable nappys are designed to keep moisture away from your babies skin, but all that plastic must make it incredibaly hot and sweaty for you little bundle of joy. And then there the fact that disposables take years to rot down...

Are terry squares really a good idea...?

...I have recently been trying out terry nappies on my toddler - who was previously potty trained but has now, for some reason known only to herself, regressed back to nappies full time - so I have reached the conclusion that come November I may potentially have 2 children in nappies, and my 20 Motherease Onesize will probably not stretch to 2 kids at once unless I do a wash every bloomin' night, which I don't really fancy to be quite honest... So with us being on a tight budget at the moment, I decided to try out some terry nappies, (seeing as these are the cheapest option available), and get practising now so that when baby number 2 arrives I will be a pro terry nappy fitter. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...As it is nearly that time of the year again, there are a few things that only appear at Christmas, not because they are a seasonal item, but more because Christmas is the only time of year I don?t diet! The product I will now review is - ?Terry?s chocolate orange - dark? As with the other flavours and varieties in this range, all the chocolate oranges come wrapped in foil, then housed within a plastic sleeve, then inserted into a cardboard box, this is all to stop the orange segments becoming separated before un wrapping. Al this packaging is slightly unnecessary, as every time I have tried to do the ?tap and unwrap? method of opening, the bloody thing is rock solid and I end up prising it open with a knife! As mentioned earlier these are usually treats at Christmas, with them being one of the things my mum buys us as stocking...

...Circus, the films, what they did next and - in the case of the late Graham Chapman - provides a very touching collection of memories about the end of their lives. Interspersed with each life story are school reports, school photos, family pictures, their homes (some black and white - being 40+ years old - and others in colour). There are film posters, memorabilia from university plays and revues, film and TV stills and some intriguing drawings by Terry Gilliam - clearly he has been sketching away in his own inimitable style for many years and has enjoyed doing it. You get a good feeling of what each actor's background and upbringing was like, their relationships with families and other members of the Python team, how they coped with filming and which other Pythons they worked best with. I was tempted by almost everything there but , it was the Terry's Chocolate Orange wrapper that caught my eye this week - "4 x delicious milk bars" was written on it. WHY TERRY NAPPIES ARE NOT MY CUP OF TEA

...The very first thing that I promised to do when I got pregnant with my first baby was "To go Green". I made a list of ecological friendly products to buy and ofcourse the first in the list were reusable nappies. I bought lots of terry nappies from Tesco and smiled at myself for the effort and the principle behind it. Well, after using them for a week, I woke my hubby in the middle of the night and told him that I was switching to the disposable ones. One, they are soo expensive, Two, my little one suffered nappy rush in 3 days and thirdly I couldn't keep up with washing them!! To add salt on the injury my baby just wasn't comfortable in them plus it got worsened by the softener that I used which really irritated him Not to mention the fact that they just never remained white with all the stains despite soaking them in varnish...
