Sainsbury's BBQ Flopper
Review of Sainsburys Instant BBQ by
matty168
Advantages: Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Doesn't last long, Doesn't heat up properly, Expensive
...I have used these BBQ's twice due to being unable to get hold of any at Tesco. The first time i used it,i thought the price was rather steep as it was over £2 for it. Sure it is sainsbury's but compared to others i've seen around,it seemed to be a lot more expensive. Anyway i thought i'd give it a try seeing that it was Sainsbury's and perhaps the performance would be a whole lot better than others i've used.
When i unwrapped the packaging there was a bag which contained charcoal in it. This was rather strange as all the previous dispodable BBQ's i had used just had a thin sheet of paper which was very effective in getting it started.
Lighting the BBQ was not a problem but it took a very long time to get the right temperature. The guidelines were 20 minutes but even after 20 minutes, part of the bag was still there and didn't seem...

Outback BBQ's don't last
Review of Outback Titanium 3 Burner by
Pablo12
Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Poor quality and doesn't last
...Outback BBQ's look amazing when you buy them but after a couple of years you realise they are made of impressively heavy but extremely cheap materials. Despite using a cover, regular cleaning and storage over winter rust set in and last week whilst having a BBQ the paint work around the cooking area caught fire - and we're talking major flames here - just to make it clear it wasn't fat but the paint which has now all been stripped off?????
My burners have also rusted through and need replacing and the hood is also starting to rust. I thought it was just me but have subsequently spoken with friends who have had similar problems.
If you want something that's nice to look at buy one - if you want one that lasts - don't bother. I'm off to buy a new BBQ and it won't be an Outback....

BBQ from heaven
Review of Outback Excel 300 by
Miskah
Advantages: even heat, not hotspots, looks good ,very easy to move
Disadvantages: no viewing window
...Outback Excel 300 Gas Barbecue
Now the summers round the corner, its time to get the cover off the BBQ and have a bit of food fun. I like barbequing meat in particular, I like the aroma pf it being flamed grilled and I also like the smell to be outside as much as possible. We use ours all year round. It stands on the patio a few steps from the back door so it’s nice and handy. Because we don’t really put ours away it needs to be durable. It also needs to be fairly small 2 burners is fine. We use charcoal if we are having friends round but you can’t beat gas for every day convenience
We got this Outback Excel 300 Gas Barbecue to replace a much bigger one that just took up too much room.
In the box:
It comes with
The BBq of course.
A free gas bottle cover,
A free outdoor Outback BBQ cover
Regulator,
Assembly:
the grill...

Eurohike Adventure Cookset with Burner
Review of Eurohike Adventure Cookset with Burner by
PaulineLees
Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightweight, Affordable.
Disadvantages: Get's a bit hot when cooking.
...spirit is used on this cooking set. The spirit is poured into the burner and simplt set alight. A large flame burns centrally and can be reduced in size by applying the sliding lid device. The windshield has 3 arms that extend towards the middle of the burner allowing the pots and pans to sit directly above the flame.
The Set contains the following to cook with -
- 16cm Saucepan
- 18cm Saucepan
- 17cm Frying Pan
- Small Pan Handle (for use with all pans)
- Kettle
The use of Methylated Spirit means that you don't need to lug a heavy gas canister around with you. Or repeatedly pay out for replacement canisters. On my last trip, we took a 500ml bottle of Meths with us, and we used it up in 2 days. 500ml costs around £1.98. If you're going for longer than 2 nights then buying a bigger bottle would be a better option. The first time...

Tesco Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo: Banana (Fine & Flyaway)
Review of Tesco Toddler 2 in 1 Shampoo by
Lizamabug
Advantages: Unbeatable value for money, gorgeous scent, easy to use
Disadvantages: None
...Despite the fact that my son is allergic to most soap products and has to bathe in prescription bath lotion; Tesco Kids 2-in-1 Banana Shampoo is one toiletry he has consistently been able to use without any signs of discomfort or reaction.
The price has come down further and further since I started using this product and it now costs just 38p for a 100ml bottle. Although that might sound rather small for a bottle of shampoo, you need to use so little of this product on youngsters that a bottle this size can easily last for six months to a year. In fact I've just bought a new bottle having had the last one for just over a year.
With a flip-top lid it's easy to use this product one-handed (while your other tries to stop your screaming child from fleeing the bath tub). I find I only need to use a 10p sized blob to get an extremely...

HP Mild BBQ Sauce - Honey Woodsmoke
Review of HP Mild BBQ Sauce - Honey Woodsmoke Flavour by
mints4merlin
Advantages: Quite versitle, easy squeezy bottle and isn't too expensive
Disadvantages: stained my lovely white skirt :(
...shelves recently in time for the BBQ season.
Cost: £1.94
Place of Purchase: Tesco Extra
Brand: HP
Packaging:
A big brown clear plastic squeeze bottle filled with brown sauce with black speckle bits through it. Bottle is made from recycled materials, and is also recyclable where facilities exist. And luckily for the planet facilities do exist at my local tesco extra. Which is a good job as the amount of plastic, tin and paper waste that would otherwise contribute to the ruining of the Earth!
Bottle is clear and is designed to stand on its bottom as shown in the pic with the white flip snap cap uppermost. The bottle is flexible and the shape is good for even those with the smallest of hands to squeeze out sauce onto their own burgers with no, or little mess.
Staining:
The only down side to the sauce is that it stains. I happened...

Tesco Apple and Mango Juice
Review of Tesco Apple and Mango Juice by
SBROWN487
Advantages: Smooth, refreshing drink
Disadvantages: None
...In my usual rush around the supermarket (not my favourite place) I spotted Tesco Apple and Mango juice amongst their other fruit juices. Normally this is £1.48 for a 1 litre carton but was on special offer of just 98p
I am a big fan of J2O drinks, especially the Apple and Mango flavour, but I don't like the price they charge for them. In Tesco at the moment they are selling 8 275ml bottles for £5.00 but this is a special offer and they are normally around £2.80 for 4.
If you buy them in a pub you can expect to pay about £1.50 per bottle.
Not expecting it to be anything like J2O I thought I would give it a go anyway but only bought one carton in case I was disappointed. I wasn't!
This drink is a really refreshing drink for a hot summers day especially mixed with some crushed ice in a long tall glass (thirsty yet...

Rectella Bar-Be-Quick Grill & Bake Trolley.BBQ
Review of Rectella Charcoal BBQ by
scottishkat
Advantages: Great for small BBQ partys
Disadvantages: Hard to build
...We had seen them on the inernet at £59.99. So when we saw one at Safeways/Morrisons for £44.99 we thought that we give it a go.
When we got it home and started to built it we both found the instructions not very clear and putting on the washers and bolts very hard. My partner has small fat fingers and was unable to get his fingers in the gaps to put on either the washers or bolts. So it was mainly left to me. I have long thin fingers and I also found it a struggle and kept on droping the parts. I really felt it was made more diffucult than need be.
The BBQ is not bad for the money it has the normal charcoal department. And a medium sized cook rack.(which can be moved to three settings for slow cooking)Which is made from plated chrome.(APPROX 1.5 FT X 1 FT). WITH 2 METAL HANDLES THAT TEND TO GET VERY HOT WHILE COOKING...

Great Juice 2 Go By Tesco
Review of Tesco Apple & Blackcurrant Juice Drink by
chocliteclair
Advantages: No added sugar, added vitamins, cheap, re-usable bottles
Disadvantages: None that I've found
.... Perhaps just a sales thing? The more you re-fill the less you buy? Shame the manufacturer’s worry only about sales and not the environment as although they’re recyclable, surely the more you use just ONE bottle AND recycle it afterwards the better? (best not go there, my soap box is at the cleaners!).
:::::Price Comparison (Tesco/Robinson‘s Fruit Shoot)::::
The normal price for the Tesco range is 61p for 4x250ml bottles, whereas for 4x200ml bottles of Fruit Shoot you would pay £1.31 for the standard range (excludes H2O).
So stick to Tesco’s and not only will you save yourself 70p, you will gain 200ml of additional juice content which is equivalent to a whole bottle of Fruit Shoot!!
:::::My Opinion:::::
When it boils down to keeping the kids happy as well as offering them as healthy diet as possible without feeding them lettuce...
