Tesco's Nappy Miracle Cream!!
Review of Tesco Nappy Cream by
melliebird
Advantages: Cheaper than other brands 97p!!
Disadvantages: None!!
...This cream is brilliant, I use it on my daughter, i tried all sorts of nappy creams for her and this one seems to be the best. At first i was unsure as it was an tescos own brand but i had tried sudocream and some others but nothing seemed to help, so when my friend recommended it...I had to give it a go anything was worth a try.
All children are different and different creams will help different children, but for my child it is brilliant.
My daughter had a red bottom so i put some of this cream on which cost 97p just before she went to bed and in the morning i was amazed to see that her bottom wasnt red anymore. I tried asda's own brand which i found very runny, but tescos own brand is not so runny and lasts quite long compared to other brands. I use this cream everynight to ensure that she doesnt wake up with a sore bum...

Tesco Value Bourbon Creams
Review of Tesco Value Bourbon Creams by
dobbsygirl
Advantages: Good Value For Money
Disadvantages: None
...We like Tesco's Value Bourbon Creams - Biscuits. They are good value for money, currently you can buy them for 30p for a 400g packet. Having a large family to feed, I have to watch what I spend. You can recognise the value range biscuits by the white background and the Tesco's logo on the top left hand side, a picture of two bourbon cream biscuits on the top right hand side. Bourbon creams written in the middle in the middle and to the left. And a distinct red thick line across the bottom of the packet.
The chocolate sandwich biscuit has a crunchy texture and the middle has a soft chocolate flavoured filling. I don't worry to much about the texture of the biscuit, because, I love to dunk mine in a hot cup of tea or coffee. mmmm ( disgusting I know, but enjoyable all the same.) They do taste chocolatey. But if to many biscuits...

Whipped Cream and Nuts for Dessert
Review of Tesco Creamy Caramella Ice Cream by
Lizard_Lover
Advantages: A rich, creamy, luxury ice cream
Disadvantages: The lid is difficult to remove
...There is such a huge variety of ice cream in our shops and supermarkets at the moment, that I felt spoilt for choice when I visited Tesco recently, looking for a tub of ice cream to put in the freezer.
Tesco have introduced their own range of ice cream, which are similar in appearance to the Carte D’or style of desserts, and are presented in 1 litre flat plastic tubs. At present, Tesco offer four flavours: Chocolatino, Creamy Caramella, Cherrylicious and Vanilleta.
We bought the Creamy Caramella to sample. The ice cream normally retails at £1.77 per tub, but today Tesco had an offer to buy 2 tubs for £3 – at a price like that, I was hardly going to walk past, and not pick a couple of tubs up to bring home! Compare the price of these with a 1 litre tub of Carte D’or, which retail at £2.57, and it is evident how much cheaper...

If only everything orange was ice cream
Review of Tesco Finest Valencia Orange Ice Cream by
miniloopie
Advantages: Lucious, creamy, dreamy ice cream
Disadvantages: You'll have to eat the whole pot in one go
...Since today is supposedly going to be the hottest day ever, I thought a nice ice cream review would be just the ticket to keep you all refreshed…
I don’t buy ice cream very often, it doesn’t do much for me dietwise, so it has to be something pretty special to tempt me. Plus it will need to be something a bit different, much as I like the choccie and nutty and caramelly flavours, it can get a bit dull even for a confirmed chocaholic like me. Which brings me to this offering from the Tesco Finest range. It ticks all the boxes - it’s a bit special, its not one of the bog standard flavours and it looks rather impressive too.
The Finest range from Tesco is their premium brand, the affordable posh nosh, and this is where we find the Valencia Orange Ice Cream.
There are others in this range (more later) and all have the distinctive...

Delicious Individual Cream Cakes
Review of Tesco Fresh Cream Chocolate Éclairs by
lml888v
Advantages: Chocolate, Cream, and Choux Pastry. Delicious!
Disadvantages: High in cholesterol and calories
..."TESCO Tempting Rich Fresh Cream Chocolate Éclairs" are a 'naughty but nice' treat that can be found in packs of two, four or ten in the fresh dessert section of the chilled cabinets in most Tesco stores.
Note that the size (and obviously calories) of the éclairs varies according to the number in the box. Two-pack éclairs have 270 calories each, four-pack éclairs are slightly smaller with 160 calories each, and the ten-pack éclairs are the smallest with 125 calories each.
I will be giving my opinion of the four-pack size.
~ Packaging ~
The éclairs are presented in a pale blue cardboard box with a large cellophane window that affords a good (and tempting) view of the items within. To the left-hand side of the window is a helpful graphic that responsibly informs you that each individual portion contains 160 calories...

Anyone for a cream soda?
Review of Tesco smooth cream soda by
greatmum1
Advantages: Cream soda with a difference
Disadvantages: vanilla flavour may be strong for some people
...Tesco Smooth Cream soda with vanilla extract
Hi Ciao readers - if you are not very busy, not rolling in money and dare to try new drinks - well non alcoholic- here is something for you. This is the last item I am going to write about this week- which I picked up from Tesco in my bargain shopping spree!
As the name suggests- it is a carbonated cream soda flavour drink with sugar and sweeteners. It is a fizzy drink and manufacturer has clearly indicated that the container is pressurized. The drink can be found in fizzy drink isle with other lemonades etc. It is a clear 2 litre bottle, with a blue cap and light and turquoise blue label.
As this has not been reviewed in Ciao before - I will tell you about what it contains and then go to the taste.
Contents are -
Carbonated water
Glucose-fructose syrup
...

Nappy cream for your little angel
Review of Tesco Nappy Cream by
frixxy
Advantages: Cheaper than Sudocrem
Disadvantages: Quite runny
...I saw this nappy cream when doing my shopping in Tesco's the other week and at £1.10 for 150ml was considerably cheaper than Sudocrem which I normally use. The first thing I noticed when I was applying it is that it is quite runny if you linger about with it on your finger for too long I reckon it would slide of and all us mums know how hard it is to get nappy cream out of clothes. Also theres no scent from it that i could notice. It was easily applied and seemed to to the job its supposed to but there was no trace of it at the next nappy change - I don'y know if it absored quickly or just transfered onto the nappy . I suppose you get what you pay for and if you are on a budget it is fine but to be honest I think I will stick to sudocrem....

Cream Egg Ice Cream without the Cream Egg taste.
Review of Cadbury Creme Egg Ice Cream (On a stick) by
nat85
Advantages: Different to current ice creams on the market
Disadvantages: Just cause it says Cream Egg, doeant mean that is is.
...I love cream eggs, in fact I love them a bit too much. After easter I buy so many in the clearance sales that Im sick of them by the end of the day, then morning comes and the craving is back!
Cream Eggs sell so well during easter that it makes sence for Cadburys to try and market their product throughout the year. The new Cream Egg Bar was OK, but not as nice as the egg. The Cream Egg ice cream tub was a nice treat but didnt really remind me of the cream egg. So when I was in my local Tesco and I spotted the cream Egg Ice Cream on a stick and thought Id give it a try.
When I buy ice creams, I tend to buy chocolaty ones, mars ice cream or galaxy ice cream. Actually Mars or Galaxy is pretty much all I buy. So the chocolate covered ice cream really apealed to my taste buds. Biting into the chocolate was like biting...

Ice Cream Heaven
Review of Haagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream by
daylehall
Advantages: Creamy ice cream, real strawberry pieces, biscuit pieces
Disadvantages: The price, the calories and fat content!!
...it straight from the freezer as the lid tends to freeze to the tub!). The tub itself is red and gold in colour which is Haagen-Dazs colours. The lid is black and so is the band that runs around the middle of the tub. The Haagen-Dazs logo is written on the front of the tub, and the flavour is written on the black band. There is also a picture of a few strawberries on the front.
Price
I tend to buy this ice cream at Tesco where it costs £3.78 for a 500ml tub so compared to other ice creams, it's a bit more expensive but worth every penny. Occasionally I will buy this ice cream at my local Blockbuster when I am renting a movie and here a 500ml tub costs £5.
Taste
Upon opening the tub, you can see the strawberry and cheesecake pieces mixed in with the ice cream. The ice cream itself is vanilla and is a pale sort of beige colour. The ice...

Organic, scone-less cream tea anyone?
Review of Duchy Originals Organic Ice Cream by
shorn_the_sheep
Advantages: Organic, delicious, profits go to charity
Disadvantages: Taste can be a little overpowering after a while
...creams such as Ben & Jerry's and Haagen Daazs. Taking into consideration the fact that a tub will last for several days and that the ice cream is made of 100% natural ingredients and features clotted cream I really don't think £3.79 is too much to pay for this. Put it this way, Farm Foods have stopped selling it and I have been buying it elsewhere as I am more than happy to pay the full price for it.
WHERE TO BUY?
So far I've only spotted this in Farm Foods and Sainsburys, but according to the Duchy Originals website it should be available in all larger branches of Tesco, Sainsburys, Safeway and Asda, plus selected Budgens stores.
OVERALL OPINION:
I cannot recommend this ice cream highly enough. For a start it's 100% organic, and it doesn't include any of the usual nasty additives found in most ice creams, so theoretically it...
