Tesco powder for thick and creamy custard

Advantages: good to eat
Disadvantages: none

...Tesco describe the pot of custard powder which I have in my cupboard as thick and creamy I must have bought this a month or so ago and the best before date is feb 2015 This 300g pot of powder costs 62p. This custard is in a card pot which has a green country picture on it with a yellow blob with the words Tesco custard printed on it has a green plastic lid. The lid is easy to remove...

Advantages: Full of taste and flavour, works well with desserts, vanilla really comes through in the taste
Disadvantages: The price tag.... it is expensive compared to other brands / products

...so cold of late I decide that I would cook an apple pie for dessert, I even made it from scratch rather than buying one in (all thanks to my Gran's recipe!) I had got some cream in to serve the apple pie with but I am not a fan of cream and always prefer a warm dessert with some custard. I had a look in my local Supermarket (Tesco) and found that there were plenty of packet mix custards...

Advantages: A great tasting biscuit, cheap too
Disadvantages: The filling could be thicker, don't withstand too much dunking
