Tesco Premium Cat Food - buy it!
Review of Tesco Premium Cuts in Gravy Cat Food by  plymouth117

Advantages: Great value for money, good range, litter doesn't smell
Disadvantages: none for us at all, other users may find some

...We live in a household where 3 cats rule the roost. Well we certainly don't have servants who feeds us and clean our toilets. Or for that matter have free board and lodgings! Yes, we are here to cater to our cats' whims and providing the right food is important, otherwise we wake up to a nice nugget of recycled food strategically placed in protest!! We have gone through all types of food for our cats (2 adults and 1 older kitten) including all the big names and all the value names. One day, being strapped for cash, we decided to risk a protest poo and try feeding the boys Tesco cat food. We realised that from one 30p (or so) tin we can spread it out and feed our cats the same amount of food as three 30p (or so) whiskas pouches!! So we placed the cat food in the their bowls, provided them with dry food to nibble on throughout... Read review

Cheaper cat food but a definate treat.
Review of Tesco Premium Cuts in Gravy Cat Food by  Emily-Jane

Advantages: Variety, affordable and my cats love it!
Disadvantages: A bit smelly for us humans!

...Billy and Ralf are our little monsters and are just as picky as any human I know... When we first got our cats we began with feeding them Felix, purely because Billy looked the spit of the Felix cat himself. How dumb are we? Our lads had no problem with this food and enjoyed it a lot, however after a while we started to feel a strain on our purses and decided to look for an alternative. After a few worthless attempts and many tins of tuna later, we finally tryed out Tesco's premium cuts in gravy, and we have never looked back. Although as with all cat food is it a tad whiffy, but has all of the vitamins your cats will need. The best saver of all is to buy the tins in packs of 12 for about £3.71 - each individual can costing about 30p. This is a huge saving when you compare with the likes of Whiskas and Felix and it means... Read review

TESCO - WE WERE LUCKY TO ESCAPE THIS ONE ALIVE!
Review of Tesco (Shop) by  RICHADA

Advantages: Huge Stores. Stores Everywhere. Fresh Food Quality. Clubcard
Disadvantages: Taking Over The World. Huge Stores, Some Badly Run.

...WHO ARE THEY? Tesco are simply the biggest grocery retailer in the UK, and by some margin. Unlike ASDA, Tesco is not just a chain of superstores or hypermarkets, they have now split their retail business into groups of shops of varying sizes: Tesco Extra - a full size hypermarket carrying a full range of food, groceries and non-food goods. Tesco - a traditional "supermarket" size store carrying food, groceries and some non-food products. Tesco Metro - a compact store almost exclusively food and groceries. These are to be found in town centres or may be attached to garage forecourts in almost any location. And now, Tesco's latest venture "Home Plus", entirely non-food retail stores. Tesco are also expanding rapidly in Eastern Europe, Poland and Slovakia increasingly "enjoying" Tescos market dominance. From our... Read review

TESCO - Awesome Giant!
Review of Tesco (Shop) by  TheHairyGodmother

Advantages: Clubcard, Great Value, Large Stores some 24hr, Convenient, Friendly Staff
Disadvantages: Company too Big, Taking over, putting small shops out of business

...>------------------------------< TESCO STORES PLC >------------------------------< >---------------< Introduction >---------------< Tesco is one of the worlds largest companies, with supermarkets ranging the world over and products now far in excess of food and drink. To some, Tesco is a company that is too big for its boots, too powerful, and too manipulative over local areas. To an extent I am inclined to agree with them. Small shops which have been trading for decades, overhauled by the introduction of a large Tesco to the area. However, I am a huge fan of Tesco not just because I have a large 24hr Tesco at the end of my road but also I am in favour of the huge range of products and services that Tesco provide and the jobs that it brings to the local area. Clearly this review has the potential to go on forever, but please... Read review

Tesco Opens On Moon !!
Review of tesco.co.uk by  bazzaoleary77

Advantages: Cheap and Quick
Disadvantages: None

...balance through the site. GROCERIES ----------------- This is where it all began online for Tesco the bread and butter (excuse the pun ) of there business and that's food shopping. Every product you can find in store can be bought online and all the deals that are available in store are also available online. If anything the latest offers BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) and half price products are easier to find as you can browse through just the latest offers first before even going through each of you food sections. When it comes to your shopping you can order anything as I have said including your Papers, Magazines, Medicines even your tobacco products but first you must select a delivery date and time to ensure your slot is reserved. Each area of food such as vegetables, bread, frozen etc has a drop down menu where you can select... Read review

Tesco not just for food
Review of Tesco Online Banking by  AliDandrea

Advantages: good banking and easy to use
Disadvantages: jumping from AOL to internet Explorer

...Tesco.com/finance is what your looking for and simple to use site and when up and running easy to navigate. Paying in is simple, do when you pay your shopping in store. All the rest can be done online. Okay the log in first time takes you a while with all the security checks and the 22 digit first log on code does take a while to type, but when you are in you can check your balance, view your statement, transfer monies and check your tesco visa (if you have one). All in all a good bank...There is one small problem if you are with AOL you have to log on to AOL then minimize your box and open your internet explorer before logging onto Tesco. If you dont do this and ERROR will appear and very likely close down your AOL connection. As long as you remember this you should have no problems (I am not sure this happens to any other providers... Read review

Tesco yes I shop at Tesco's
Review of Tesco (Shop) by  mumsymary

Advantages: convenience
Disadvantages: spend too much money

...Let me tell you about tesco’s or at least my experiences of Tesco’s Well back when sleepydormouse was in her pram (24 years ago) I occasionally visited my local tesco. It was dirty, smelly; unpleasant I did not go very often. However there were supermarket revolution new supermarkets popped up everywhere. There are 4 tesco’s that I visit 1 on a regular basis the others infrequently they are different in size and the goods they hold I shall begin with the smallest my local tesco it is situated on the edge of the small town I live in. I do not do my main shop here but pop in usually on a Sunday if I want any bread/milk or something for my husband’s sandwiches on. This supermarket is small. It does have a fresh bread section and a fruit and veg section a few aisles with A selection of washing products tinned foods, alcohol... Read review

Tesco, Tescis, Tescit
Review of Tesco Clubcard by  mrpaella

Advantages: Saves money from your shopping
Disadvantages: None so far

...food section, which is amazing. Bags of Basmati rice, corn oil, coconut milk, Goan pineapple sauce, poppadoms and other rare products are now being sold. The quality of produce sold is so good that many companies in India are importing British Indian products. When my parents visit India their relatives always want Indian spices from the UK. It is a bit like carrying coals to Newcastle. On a sour note Tesco was fined £30,000 for dumping used trolleys in a river. It was fined for environmental pollution. I recently read that Tesco is the second largest food retailer in Europe behind Carrefour of France. UPDATED June 2002 AIR MILES I have been collecting air miles for the last 5 years. I have got just over 1400 air miles but have not yet redeemed a single one of them. I usually got the air miles when purchasing air... Read review

Shop till you drop at Tescos
Review of Tesco (Shop) by  BUBBLES171

Advantages: 24 hour shopping Whayyyyy !
Disadvantages: It shuts partly on Sunday due to the Law! Boo

...In 1924 the name Tesco appeared on the packets of Tea, How did they come to pick a name like Tesco. Jack Cohen was the founder of Tesco and its first Chariman was T E Stockwell. They tool the TES for Mr Stockwell and the CO from Mr Cohen, there for TESCO was born. The first store opened in 1929 in Edgeware and the first self service store opened in 1956 in Malden. I live in Warrington and a new Tesco has just opened and there is currently a price war going on between the stores. I used to shop at Asda but now you have to pay in their carpark unless you spend so much on food. So I thought I used to shop at Tescos when I lived in Altrincham at the Wythenshawe branch so I will tell you all about my store here in Warrington. The Layout ---------- The car park is absolutely massive and I reckon it must be able to fit in around... Read review

Working for Tesco
Review of Tesco by  tia_bailey

Advantages: Good pay, great benefits package
Disadvantages: Crap uniform, crap managers

...Ok, first of all, I'd just like to mention, this is a looooooooooooong review, so if you're not actually interested in reading about Tesco as an employer, then I'd suggest you don't bother as it will take some patience to get through! When I left school at the age of 18, and having decided I couldn't be bothered with university, I suddenly had to face the big bad world and go and find myself a job. I wasn't really fussy about what job I did - I've never been ambitious, and simply wanted a job where I could go to work, do my job, come home and not have to think about it. As our local Tesco is just 5 minutes away, I decided to apply there. I wrote a letter requesting an application form, and a few days later received a lovely letter and the form I had asked for. I read through the form and thought, wow, I don't know how to answer... Read review
