Breathe O2 into your phone!
Advantages: EDGE, MMS included in price, free voicemail, great customer service, reception, and value for money
Disadvantages: Not too clear that you could get 1000 texts, quite hefty charge for 0800 no's
...After being on Virgin Pay As you Go for over a year, I realised the amount I was paying for calls and texts was well over £20 per month - I had to top up on regular occasions. I didn't really feel that I was making too many calls/texts and running out was a constant worry as it's happened on a few occasions! I also knew that my phone has plenty of features such as Email, streaming video, internet and RSS feeds that I couldn't use because the internet charge was far too expensive.
** Joining O2 **
Fourtunately after seeing a few ads, I realised that there were some really good SIM card only pay monthly deals going round. I was perfectly happy with my phone - a Sony Ericsson Z710i, a very uncommon, nice looking flip-phone with all the features I wanted. I originally bought it for O2 but got it unlocked (Naughty I know!). After...

Tesco mobile network - in fact O2 coverage
Advantages: O2 coverage (best in the UK), free credits, easy top up, unlatch possible
Disadvantages: high call charges (expected with PAYG phone)
.../picture messages to mobiles. They can be used for mobile internet browsing too. However there are some restrictions - no international numbers, no premium rate numbers, no 08... numbers and you can't use it outside this country.
The third good thing is the flexibility of top-up: online, in Tesco, by phone and ATM cash machines with the Tesco mobile top-up logo. Furthermore, you can set up you 5 favourite phone numbers (including landline) to have half-price call charges.
The high call charges are expected for PAYG phones anyway. If you want low charges, the ASDA mobile network is very cheap however its Vodafone coverage may not be as good, at least in Oxfordshire.
The fourth good thing is the coverage. O2 coverage is still second to none. Instead of buying the same phone under 'O2' network, you pay less (~£10) for it to be under 'Tesco' [O2...

WOW £63 free credit from O2!!!!
Advantages: great rates and offers, good network coverage, good customer service online
Disadvantages: costly when used abroad
...I have used O2 as my phone network provider for over eight years now (dating right back from when they were initially BT Cellnet!). My loyalty to O2 is strong as a result of having had such a positive experience with them for so many years. Therefore, I feel that it is time that I shared my experiences with all of you!
When I was thirteen I received my first ever mobile phone for Christmas. It was a BT Cellnet model and therefore the simcard was also BT Cellnet. I had a good few years use out of this phone and was happy with the BT Cellnet deal so stuck with them. They eventually changed the name of the company to O2 when they merged with Genie.
Pay as you go
Being young, I initially had pay as you go simcards with O2 and found them to offer some better deals than other networks at the time. I obtained an O2 Genie Sim...

Mobile phone network- o2
Advantages: good customer service, good reception, good pre pay deals
Disadvantages: customer services not 24 hours
...INTRODUCTION
o2 is the now the biggest mobile phone network in the UK in terms of customers. It has recently over took Vodaphone to become the biggest network. o2 comes from BT originanly, back in November 2001 o2 demerged from BT and what was called BT Cellnet pre November 2001 became o2. Few facts about o2: o2 has 15.1 million customers, at the end of September 2005 turnover was £3.6 billion, an increase of 12% from the previous year. o2 PLC is made up of 4 companies which are o2 UK ,o2 Ireland, o2 Germany and Manx Telecom.
SERVICES o2 OFFERS
o2 like all over UK mobile phone networks offer pay and go tarriffs and pay monthly (contract) tarriffs. With a pay and go tarriff you will have to purchase a o2 phone and then you will need to top up each time you want to use your phone. You can top up with o2 by many ways such as...

O2 - A great network!
Advantages: numerous call plans, broadband, mobile e.t.c
Disadvantages: NA
...O2 is a UK mobile telephone operator, which is part of Telefónica Europe.
I have recently rejoined O2, as most of my friends are on the network, and I would therefore benefit more.
How to join O2
Joining O2 is really easy. You can either become a Pay Monthly, or Pay as you go customer. You can ordered a sim card, from their website, should you wish to go pay as you go, using your existing mobile. Full details of current Pay Monthly plans, are available on their website also.

Network Coverage
I have always found the O2 network coverage to be fantastic. I have never experienced a lack of signal, in the area that I live. Therefore, the O2 service, in my opinion is very reliable, as I always have an active signal, that is able to allow me to make calls and texts

My O2 nightmare
Advantages: cheap tarrifs
Disadvantages: where shall i start?
...I first heard of O2 about a year ago when i got a phonecall offering me a great sounding deal on a 12 month contract with a free handset. I had just come to the end of my existing contract and was looking for a new one anyway so i thought i'd give it a go. I signed up with O2 online and I was promised a nokia 3510i, 500 off peak landline minutes, 500 text messages 500 wap minutes and 50 cross network minutes for £20 a month. They had several other options with different freebies but this one seemed the best choice for me.
Getting started
The phone and sim arrived in the post as expected and I was ready to start using the service. The coverage was good and I always had reception. I used the wap service with no problems. I was in fact very pleased with O2 as a network. The only thing I disliked about them was that it was very...

O2 Cocoon
Advantages: The eye catching design and the amazing LCD display
Disadvantages: If this phone had more then a 2mp camera, it would knock sony ericcson for six!
...The O2 Cocoon
Released: August 2007
=
What does this box design, layout and style look & feel like?
The box is a white colour with Braille embossed-like writing on the front 'greeting' you to the phone. The inlay is very colourful with landscape picture covering the whole area. There is magnet device on the end of the close for it to connect when you need to close the box. There are two compartments to the design. One is a cut out where the phone lies and the other is a drawer that you pull out with it tongue to reveal the contents.
The phone is white. And its side and insides are black. On the left of the phone you have you USB/Headset/Ariel port, Micro SD Memory? Card slot and a lever to open the battery cover. On the left you have you Designated Music...

O2 pay as you go offers!
Advantages: Lots of offers.
Disadvantages: no more than any other network
....
They also send you an on screen message after every phone call or txt you have made, which shows you your remaining balance, which with other networks you would have to phone a number for this information.
02 also sends you updates on new offers by text to your phone, so be sure to take advantage of all of them.
I am really impressed with the network, and I wouldn't dream of changing it too another. I like the fact that I know what I am spending, and I also like the fact that it gives pre-pay users just as many offers that contract users receive.
*****Here's the information on offers that I have accepted on my pay as you go network with O2-
O2 rewards - This scheme gives you 10% back on all your top-ups every month. It's a kind of loyalty reward for how much you spend on your phone.
For example, if you were too spend £30...

Communicating couldn't be easier! (O2)
Advantages: Excellent network coverage, quick Broadband speeds
Disadvantages: Handset deals not always as competitive
...I first became an O2 customer when at university 7 or so years ago. Having just received my student loan, I thought "why not get a new phone". In hindsight, it was probably not a very wise option, but being young and naive it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I'm pleased to say though, that the service I received from O2 was excellent. I initially took out their cheapest contract for approximately £15 a month with a shiny new Nokia handset (this was quite a while ago don't forget so deals were better). Not being the biggest talker on the phone, I opted for a text message deal where I got around 100 texts a month. I managed to live with this deal for the 12 month contract and decided to switch to Pay As You Go, which I have been using ever since.
Reception had also been a major contributing factor to going with O2 rather than...

O2 OK
Advantages: Cheapest tariff, lots of free texts
Disadvantages: 50p a minute to ring customer services
...I have finally, after much research and deliberation, upgraded my mobile phone. I had just finished a 12 month contract with O2 in December and as much as I loved my dear little Nokia 3330 (gone but not forgotten), I knew the time and technology had come when I had to move with the times and upgrade.
As there are so many different deals on the market these days, I thought it wise to fully check all the alternative mobile networks to ensure I got the best possible deal. I think I managed to, although they change so often its hard to tell! In the end, I stayed with O2, signing up for another 12 months.
Website - O2.co.uk
O2 have a very thorough and fairly easy to navigate website. You can register with them and log on, enabling you to personalise.
