* TESCO VALUE INSTANT HOT CHOCOLATE DRINK *
***********************************************************
Every month or so my older sister who i have recently started lodging with will log on to Tesco's website to do the "Big Shop".
With a total of 4 people in the household including my niece - the perpetual eating machine known as a child, and the lack of a car, my sister is pretty much forced to use Tescos home delivery service.
She gets the same old stuff every month and i dont really pay much attention as long as it tastes good and keeps my hunger at bay..
Last night i was sat surfing the net, r/r/c'ing people, listening to music, the normal, when thirst struck! I craved something nice, something hot; i was bored of Horlicks, i couldnt be bothered to make...

Another Tesco Value Success!
Review of Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives by
danmclovin
Advantages: Great tasting, cheap!
Disadvantages: Faultless!
...I've been experimenting with Tesco value products for some time now, since the prices of basically everything has been going up, and have found the value range a good way to cut costs in the supermarket. I've been very pleased with the majority of Tesco value items that I have bought, not at all what I expected, and the Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives are no exeption.
The Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives are made from wheat flour, milk chocolate (23%), vegetable oil, sugar, wholemeal wheat flour, glucose-fructose syrup, raising agents and salt. Each biscuit contains 85 calories (4% of your recommended daily allowance), 4.5g of sugar (5%), 3.9g of fat (6%) and 0.1g of salt (2%).
The Tesco value biscuits come in 300g packs, which contains 19 biscuits each. They are packed in a thin plactic film, which is coloured...

Tescos value is GOOD value
Review of Tesco Value Plain Chocolate by
sillyssally
Advantages: it is cheap and good for cooking
Disadvantages: it only comes in big bars
...Tescos is the nearest supermarket to us. It is cheaper than the little local shops like the late shop and the spar so we usually shop there. When I was younger we did not have much money and now that we do have more I always forget that we do and still look for bargains. This bar is one of those bargains.
THE PACKGING
All the Tescos value products look the same so you can recognize them quickly and easily I think. The paper covering the bar is white and has on it a red and blue design and the words for the brand Tesco value and the product Plain chocolate and the size 100g. It also has on it the words that quality is guaranteed. This is all on the front and on the back are ingredients for the bar and other useful stuff like if you do not like it what you should do (take it BACK and make a BIG FUSS)
THE BAR
Plain chocolate...

Chocolate Heaven in a jar
Review of Tesco Value Chocolate Spread by
BUBBLES171
Advantages: it is lovely
Disadvantages: it is fattening
...Well after emptying my food cupboards of anything fattening, I found this big tub of chocolate. Well unfortunately diet has now started and after this op, boo hoo, the whole lot will be heading towards the bin.
I remember buying it just before Christmas when it was a girlie time of the month and I wanted some quick fix chocolate to satisfy me.
I bought this tub of Tesco Value Chocolate Spread for a mere 49p, I found this to be very low and did not know whether or not it was on special offer as its nearest rival Nuttella was over £1 a jar.
Now it is in a glass round jar with a white top screw lid and it lasts till November 2004. The label on the front says it is Tesco Value Chocolate Spread and it is 350g. It has the nutritional details on and the Tesco Guarantee and some advice. It has the usual Tesco bars on the jar in blue...

Value for taste
Review of Tesco Value Plain Chocolate by
snow_queen
Advantages: Yummy... mmmmmmm inexpensive...$$$$$$$$$
Disadvantages: The packaging is crap
...Tesco's blue and white striped chocolate claims to be value for money, but i'd have to say that it is far better described as value for taste.
Ok, so it is a brilliantly delicious 27p for 100g but I still think that value for taste suits it better. Bite into a bar and you will see why :)
For a start, it is rich and flavour full, which is always important as I think that chocolate should be rich, but not overpowering, which this VALUE FOR MONEY bar seems to make balence perfectly.
It is also firm enough to not dissolve as soon as it touches your tongue. Its creamy enough to melt, but not so quickly as that you dont get to spend a moment savouring the flavour.
Its also suitable for vegetairians, which is useful, because I am and I am also a chocolate addict, so being able to eat chocolate in an animal...

The value bars are on me!
Review of Tesco Value White Chocolate by
DylanD
Advantages: Delicious creamy taste
Disadvantages: Bad for the waistline
...I am a big fan of white chocolate and up until last week thought Thorntons was the absolute master of all chocolatiers! That was before I discovered the Tesco Value white chocolate bar sitting all a lonesome on a cheap deal shelf at the back of the store. I thought poor thing you need a home, so I picked it up and put the bar in my basket along with the Creme Eggs they were selling off at 9p in the Tesco end of stock/season clearout. Bang goes the post natal diet!
The packet isn't that endearing to the consumer , the standard tesco value format is used with silver paper lining inside so some people may think because of that it's a cheap and bland tasting choccy! In certain respects the consumer maybe right to think that, I think the value bread is discusting but that's where your wrong about this little gem, this white chocolate...

It is good value
Review of Tesco Value Chocolate Spread by
mumsymary
Advantages: cheap and tasty
Disadvantages: fattening
....
I got home from work today feeling a bit fed up with everything. No bars of chocolate in the cupboard boohoo no chocolate biscuits boo but ahhh a big brand new jar of chocolate spread Value from Tesco. I bought this yonks ago in readiness for putting in a chocolate sandwich cake or something like that at Christmas time. The use by date on this jar I have is Jan 2006 so that’s a good long life.
So feeling in need in desperate need of a chocolate fix I got out some bread, put it in the toaster. I opened the white screw top lid, pierced the foil inner seal. I could wait no longer I dipped my baby finger into the 350g clear glass jar and it delved deep into the chocolate. I brought my finger out of the jar it was loaded with a thick smooth creamy chocolate that smelt sweet. I licked the tip of my finger delicately at first...

Chocolate Assortment
Review of Tesco Value Chocolate Assortment by
bill1111
Advantages: Cheap with plenty of variety
Disadvantages: lack quality in taste terms
...I recently saw these in my local Tesco and thought in these days of increased cost of foods, they would be worth a try. As I am sure I will need several boxes of variety chocolate to give my visitors this Christmas.
I have bought from the value range at Tesco for a couple of years so far and generally I have been satisfied with the products. For me though they certainly do not taste as good as the manufacturers product they are a fraction of the costand so can worth trying.
So when I got my Chocolate Assortment I was very keen to try them. Immediately I was impressed by the cost of the product only 99p. This I thought was amazing for a tray of 21 different chocolates. That to me looks like excellent value for money.
I also thought the packaging with good. Not as expensively wrapped as a tradition box of chocolates but instantly...

Value Judgements
Review of Tesco Value White Chocolate & Strawberry Cereal Bars by
trevorbrock
Advantages: Tasty, and good value
Disadvantages: Three bites and they're gone
...symbol, and the bottom right hand corner has symbols to tell you all about the calories, sugar, fat, saturates and salt content.
The rear of the box contains panels of information concerning Allergy Advice, Ingredients, and Nutrition.
It is not exactly minblowing packaging, but is perfectly adequate.
Inside, the 6 bars are wrapped very simply in white paper with the Tesco Value flash and the 'White Chocolate and Strawberry Cereal Bar' strap line.
The reverse side assures you that the bar is fine for vegetarians, but may contain some nut traces.

*******
The whole phenomenon of cereal bars came into being, I think, to provide a healthy snack in place of the unhealthy treats like Mars Bars etc.
Their success in achieving that goal must depend a little bit, on the size of the cereal bar itself.
After extensive consumer...

Mm chocolate it must be valentines day
Review of Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives by
mumsymary
Advantages: CHEAP
Disadvantages: ?
...Milk chocolate value biscuits tesco.
Its holiday time hurray lets celebrate. I sat down with my coffee and I treated my self to a chocolate biscuit oh a rare treat on my wages. The biscuit I celebrated my holiday with was a tesco chocolate biscuit value can’t afford Mc Vitie (£1.05 for 400g pkt) on the meagre wages the local authority gives me. Tesco value cost 35p per 300g pkt Mc Vities £1.05 per 400g pkt just over twice the price. Hey it’s Valentines Day I will give one to my love who is sitting next to me at his computer. :-) Happy Valentines Day dear.
I do like a digestive biscuit . This biscuit is crisp, crumbly, crunchy falls to pieces when dipped. The milk chocolate is rippled all over one surface of this biscuit. It is a pleasant chocolate milky and creamy. Some own brand choc is not so good but this one is very...
