Australian Red Wine (Tesco's)
Review of Tesco Australian Red Wine (South Eastern Australia) by  fizzybonbon

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Not really what you would serve to impress at a posh dinner party

...I never used to be a red wine drinker, I would have said in the past if someone had offered me a glass "no thanks". But within the past few years I have changed my mind a lot and now do enjoy red wine. THE PRODUCT: Australian Red Wine (south eastern Australia) Selected by Tesco 75 cl 13.0% vol medium and fruity cost: £2.08 Allergy advice: Contains Sulphites Availability: every Tesco supermarket I have been in MY EXPERIENCE: I first bought a bottle of this wine when we were having a barbeque in the summer, I wasn't sure what it was or what it would be like as with most people when buying for a party you tend to just buy a few bottles of a lot of things. I decided however after a few strange glances from my partner that maybe I should try this wine before forcing it on our guests. The first thing I notice was it didn... Read review

Tesco Value Sim
Review of Tesco Value Mobile by  voodoorin

Advantages: Really cheap
Disadvantages: can only top up via tesco

...Tesco Value Mobile Tesco value Mobile is the cheapest network that I have come across, it is ridiculously cheaper than the other networks and even cheaper than the normal "Tesco sim". With Tesco value Mobile you just get the basics calling and texting (but only in the UK). The Tesco network runs on 02 so normally you get signal (it is quite rare that I don't have a signal), 02 has 99% population coverage in the UK. There are two catches with Tesco Value Mobile first you have to buy the sim card from tesco.com and also topping up can not be done without Tesco involved, the way's you can top up are - E voucher from a Tesco store - Online (you can set it to top up your phone on a regular basis) - Credit / Debit card via the phone Its unfortunate that you cannot top in normal stores using e top up, but as Tesco's are taking... Tesco Value Bread
Review of Tesco Value White bread by  TheHairyGodmother

Advantages: very cheap, ok if you are on a serious budget
Disadvantages: goes mouldy quickly, not very tasty

...Bread. One of the nations staple foods, and certainly one of my favourites. There is so much you can do with bread, from bread and butter pudding, to sandwiches and toast, to dippy soldiers and croutons. Most people eat bread most days of the week and if it is made the right way with the right kind of flour it can be very healthy for you. Bread these days somes in all manner of shapes and sizes, flavours and colours and will a whole range of toppings and additions such as sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, fruit... the list goes on. .... not Tesco Value bread! The Cost *********** As you would expect, Tesco Value bread is cheap. Very cheap! Currently it is 23p per 800g loaf in my local Tesco store. Whereas most high quality loaves cost in excess of 85p for the same sized loaf you would be forgiven for thinking... Read review

Another Tesco Value Success!
Review of Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives by  danmclovin

Advantages: Great tasting, cheap!
Disadvantages: Faultless!

...I've been experimenting with Tesco value products for some time now, since the prices of basically everything has been going up, and have found the value range a good way to cut costs in the supermarket. I've been very pleased with the majority of Tesco value items that I have bought, not at all what I expected, and the Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives are no exeption. The Tesco Value Milk Chocolate Digestives are made from wheat flour, milk chocolate (23%), vegetable oil, sugar, wholemeal wheat flour, glucose-fructose syrup, raising agents and salt. Each biscuit contains 85 calories (4% of your recommended daily allowance), 4.5g of sugar (5%), 3.9g of fat (6%) and 0.1g of salt (2%). The Tesco value biscuits come in 300g packs, which contains 19 biscuits each. They are packed in a thin plactic film, which is coloured... Read review

Tesco value noodles won't cost you a packet!
Review of Tesco value chicken noodles by  Mickie26

Advantages: good price, tasty. easy to cook
Disadvantages: Not very filling, not very nutritious, very basic packaging

...With prices swiftly increasing it is time to economise and cut back on spending. The pound you used to use on pot noodle has now risen to about two pounds. In an economy that is failing, Tesco brings to you "Tesco value chicken noodles". These noodles might not be as posh as Pot Noodles, but what they lack in the fancy design they more than make up in taste and for 8p a packet who can complain? Let's look at this realistically. £1 buys you 12 packets at 96p you can't buy a pot noodle for that price! £2 buys you 25 packets at £2.00 Students delight in the fact that you can now buy noodles instead of beans for a price that you can afford. However if you still want beans on toast then you can still buy it, but it will cost you more. If you like noodles then you will probably like these although they are not quite as good as pot... Tescos value is GOOD value
Review of Tesco Value Plain Chocolate by  sillyssally

Advantages: it is cheap and good for cooking
Disadvantages: it only comes in big bars

...Tescos is the nearest supermarket to us. It is cheaper than the little local shops like the late shop and the spar so we usually shop there. When I was younger we did not have much money and now that we do have more I always forget that we do and still look for bargains. This bar is one of those bargains. THE PACKGING All the Tescos value products look the same so you can recognize them quickly and easily I think. The paper covering the bar is white and has on it a red and blue design and the words for the brand Tesco value and the product Plain chocolate and the size 100g. It also has on it the words that quality is guaranteed. This is all on the front and on the back are ingredients for the bar and other useful stuff like if you do not like it what you should do (take it BACK and make a BIG FUSS) THE BAR Plain chocolate... Another Tesco Value Hit
Review of Tesco Value Shampoo by  foxy_roxy

Advantages: Price, it cleanses
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for dry hair

...***INTRODUCTION*** When times are hard and the belt needs tightening Tesco Value is usually the first port of call. Our house is a rainbow of blue and white stripes with the familiar splash of red, from Value washing powder to Value chocolate - we have it all. My husband has been using Tesco Value shampoo for many years with no adverse affects and recently we all had a go. ***THE BOTTLE*** The huge one litre bottle is tall and round, made from clear plastic with a white screw-top lid. There is a white label in a band around the width of the bottle with the word 'shampoo' written in red writing and the Tesco Value logo above it on the right. As the bottle is transparent you can easily see the contents within and the product is a vivid green in colour - rather like the traditional Fairy Liquid green. Directions for use... Read review

Bad Blow for Tesco Value Facial Tissues
Review of Tesco Value Facial Tissues by  newby2

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Nasty

...Tesco Value Tissues......... These Tesco Value Tissues were just one of the Tesco Value Range I decided to try out on my recent budget-shopping trip and I really think I should not have bothered. They come in at a little over the 50 pence margin, which is considerably cheaper than the rivals in this product such as Kleenex whose single boxes often sell for bordering on the £1.50 pence price range. However, even though the Tesco Value tissues are cheaper in comparison there is not really much more going for them other than this factor. The tissues themselves are a lot darker in colour than my usual Kleenex branded ones and have a very grey like appearance where as Kleenex are a lot whiter and cleaner looking. The tissues from the Tesco value range box are a lot trickier to get out of the box compared to the Kleenex... Read review

Tesco Value Hot Chocolate - For cheap chocaholics!
Review of Tesco Value Instant Hot Chocolate Drink by  helpa4eva

Advantages: Tasty, Cheap, Good Value, Suitable for Vegetarians.
Disadvantages: Boring packaging, A little fattening.

...*********************************************************** * TESCO VALUE INSTANT HOT CHOCOLATE DRINK * *********************************************************** Every month or so my older sister who i have recently started lodging with will log on to Tesco's website to do the "Big Shop". With a total of 4 people in the household including my niece - the perpetual eating machine known as a child, and the lack of a car, my sister is pretty much forced to use Tescos home delivery service. She gets the same old stuff every month and i dont really pay much attention as long as it tastes good and keeps my hunger at bay.. Last night i was sat surfing the net, r/r/c'ing people, listening to music, the normal, when thirst struck! I craved something nice, something hot; i was bored of Horlicks, i couldnt be bothered to make... Read review

Tesco SUPER VALUE Instant Noodles
Review of Tesco value chicken noodles by  danmclovin

Advantages: Only 8p!
Disadvantages: High salt content!

...With prices on nearly everything increasing of late, I have been on the lookout for means and ways to save pennies here and there. One of these ways was to start buying more Tesco Value products, of which I have been pleasantly surprised. A lot of the Tesco Value products are actually pretty good. I'd rather not know what most of the Tesco Value processed meats are made of, I just know that they taste pretty good. One product that I have been buying for quite some time now is the Tesco Value Chicken Flavour Instant Noodles. And of late, I seem to be clearing the shelves of this snack, because in my opinion, this snack is the epitome of the word value, at a mere 8p a pack. The Tesco Value Instant Noodles is not a meal, but a really good, appetising snack. In my opinion, there isn't a whole lot to choose, taste wise, between... Read review
