Cat milk!?
Advantages: Cheap & good for kittens
Disadvantages: doesnt contain as many essential nutrients as branded products
...and suckers attached to extract and bottle cat milk for the nations pets. This is a rather graphic and worring image to envision. I believe that this milk is actually just cows milk which has been chemically modified to contain the essential nutrients and vitamins as found in cats mothers milk.
Phew, so don't worry it's only the cows which have to endure fluid extraction.
The packaging is a blue bottle with italic tesco 'cat milk' printed on, the white bar code is on the reverse and theres a picture of a tiny tabby kitten on the front.
Volume in bottle is 200ml and cost 42p per bottle. It fastens with a screw top and the plastic it is made from is recyclable.
Easy to open, the bottle is secured with a saftey trigger and wrap around plastic loop - similar to some of the peoples milk you can get. Easy to pour, unless someones little head is...

Tesco Premium Cat Food - buy it!
Advantages: Great value for money, good range, litter doesn't smell
Disadvantages: none for us at all, other users may find some
...We live in a household where 3 cats rule the roost. Well we certainly don't have servants who feeds us and clean our toilets. Or for that matter have free board and lodgings! Yes, we are here to cater to our cats' whims and providing the right food is important, otherwise we wake up to a nice nugget of recycled food strategically placed in protest!!
We have gone through all types of food for our cats (2 adults and 1 older kitten) including all the big names and all the value names. One day, being strapped for cash, we decided to risk a protest poo and try feeding the boys Tesco cat food.
We realised that from one 30p (or so) tin we can spread it out and feed our cats the same amount of food as three 30p (or so) whiskas pouches!! So we placed the cat food in the their bowls, provided them with dry food to nibble on throughout...

Can cats go cheap?
Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful
Disadvantages: Only one flavour
...I wander along the aisles of the Supermarket, carefully comparing products so I save every penny I can. Value tomatoes; economy beans; and the good old 'need to double up' toilet roll. Then I reach the pet food aisle. What do I reach for? All the name brands of course! I can't give Kitty any old muck can I?
But on my last visit to our local Tesco, I spotted that they had brought out a Value version of Dry Food. Hmmm, worth a shot I guess.
~~~Packaging~~~
The 1.5kg bag is presented in the classic red, white and blue of the Tesco Value range. I am told it is Vitamin enriched, and helps Oral Care on the teeth and gums. from the list of ingredients, I see that it contains meat and animal derivatives, so no particular flavour it seems. It is also a complete cat food, so apart from water my cat could easily survive on this alone...
Working for Tesco
Advantages: Good pay, great benefits package
Disadvantages: Crap uniform, crap managers
...Ok, first of all, I'd just like to mention, this is a looooooooooooong review, so if you're not actually interested in reading about Tesco as an employer, then I'd suggest you don't bother as it will take some patience to get through!
When I left school at the age of 18, and having decided I couldn't be bothered with university, I suddenly had to face the big bad world and go and find myself a job. I wasn't really fussy about what job I did - I've never been ambitious, and simply wanted a job where I could go to work, do my job, come home and not have to think about it.
As our local Tesco is just 5 minutes away, I decided to apply there. I wrote a letter requesting an application form, and a few days later received a lovely letter and the form I had asked for. I read through the form and thought, wow, I don't know how to answer...
Tesco trains
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: As good as original brands
...Santa bought my four year old the lovely mountain train set made by tesco. He desperately wanted a train set and when we were in Toysrus we would look at the brio sets and then look around the other toys. It was not unitl near to Christmas that I actually decided to look at the price. I was horrified to discover how expensive brio train sets were. I looked in several other shops ELC etc but they too were too expensive. I found a cheap set in ASDA but it did not seem to be compatabile with brio or even near to the quality, so I decided not to buy the train set from there either. When we were shopping in Tescos my son pointed out the train sets and took a real interest in a lovely mpuntain train set which had had a wooden train set, a little bridge, wooden animals, trees, tunnels, trains, carriages,sign and mountains all for £24...
Tescos
Advantages: Great Value
Disadvantages: Puts local businesses under stress
...Tescos is King of all supermarkets and I think that they are best for value in the long term or in the big shop as well. As a student I have found that the tesco down the road from me is my new home, as opposed to the Centre up the road that can be so expensive some times in comparison.
Tescos sells your average grocerys as well as dvd's and electricals, clothes, office supplies, tobacco and confectionary, alcohol, cards for special occassions and toys. Everything you need seems to almost be in one store, there is also a tesco value line that provides Tescos own products at a cheaper price.
The staff in Tescos are always friendly where I come from in Cookstown, they always help you find something if your not quite sure where it is and always strike up a pleasant conversation at the help desk, though I understand that some...
Clever Cats
Advantages: Cute cover
Disadvantages: Rubbish contents
...This is the time of year when all of the tacky presents appear in the shops that the recipient will feign great appreciation for on Xmas morning and send to the charity shop in the new year. As well as tacky toys and gadgets the bookshelves are filled with all the latest z list celebrity biographies and other rubbish books that no sane person would surely buy for themselves. One of those books is called Test Your Cat; The Cat IQ Test which was gifted to me by a friend presumably after she had taken the 10 minutes to test her cat and thought giving it to me was a way of making room on her bookshelf for something better.
The Cat IQ test is a small hardback book with an attractive picture of a cat on the front. The book is only 120 pages long, most of those pages contain a single question with room to record your response by ticking...
All aboard the Tesco train
Advantages: Cheap, well made, compatible with other brands
Disadvantages: none i can see
...I have 6 young nephews all are train mad and the all have the ELC train sets. You know the ones I mean wooden tracks and engines that cost a fortune.
Well come Chritmas and birthdays buying for them all is a nightmare so i usually end up getting them additions to their trainsets but find the early learning ones a bit pricy, a single engine is around £5 and a set of 4 wooden people will se you back £4.
So while doing me grocery shopping I decided to stop off at the toy secion in Tesco to see if there was anything suitable for nephew who was turning 3 years old. It was here I discovered that Tesco do a wooden train set which is compatible with other brands. After very close inspection I decided it looked just as good quality as the ELC and for a fraction of the price. On this occasion I bought a zoo train which included an engine, 3...
Imagine a little boy kneeling on the floor his head down and his fair hair shining he is saying chooo choo brrrrrrrrrmmmmmm . He reaches into the plastic tub we store the train set in for another piece of track it is wooden track this piece is a straight section. Cat's Scary!
Advantages: looks cute
Disadvantages: retired
...When I was younger, my friends and I were addicted to teddies, more in particular those in the TY Beanie range! TY make a lot of soft toys, in all forms, including animals bears, and Beanie Boppers which are like little people. My friends and I loved the TY beanies, and between us probably had all of them!
There are lots of different animals in the TY range, and a lot of them were cats, much to my delight. One of the little cats is known as Frightful. She is not just a normal little kitty though, but represents Halloween. I love witches especially, so this beanie is perfect for me. Frightful is jet black, with bright orange paws. On her head there is an adorable witches hat with cobwebs, complete with little hanging spider. She definitely has a frightening look to her, but she is utterly gorgeous!
To the touch, Frightful has quite long...
