I Value Tesco Products Highly.
Advantages: Tinned peaches that are fine !
Disadvantages: None
...better for our health but lets face it we cant have our cake and eat it can we?
If I am going to be ultra picky then there are only a couple of minor criticisms, firstly some of the peach slices may not be as ripe as they should be and secondly some of the slices are more of a sliver than a slice.
Having fed many a hungry flock I am the first to admit that price does matter.
If I can throw a couple of cans of Tesco Value peaches into a trifle and serve it to my eager fledglings for Sunday tea I am sure they arent going to poise the spoon halfway between bowl and lips to remark on the inadequacy of the peaches.
Value means value and Tesco are doing their level best to give us a reasonable product at a very affordable price and I applaud them for it....

Tesco Premium Cat Food - buy it!
Advantages: Great value for money, good range, litter doesn't smell
Disadvantages: none for us at all, other users may find some
...We live in a household where 3 cats rule the roost. Well we certainly don't have servants who feeds us and clean our toilets. Or for that matter have free board and lodgings! Yes, we are here to cater to our cats' whims and providing the right food is important, otherwise we wake up to a nice nugget of recycled food strategically placed in protest!!
We have gone through all types of food for our cats (2 adults and 1 older kitten) including all the big names and all the value names. One day, being strapped for cash, we decided to risk a protest poo and try feeding the boys Tesco cat food.
We realised that from one 30p (or so) tin we can spread it out and feed our cats the same amount of food as three 30p (or so) whiskas pouches!! So we placed the cat food in the their bowls, provided them with dry food to nibble on throughout...

FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD
Advantages: Challenging yet rewarding.
Disadvantages: Money can be poor in the early years.
...Working in Food Ingredient Product Development? Well, the general scope of this seems pretty straightforward wouldn?t you say? On the surface you?d be right, but there lies beneath a huge web of career possibilities!
Food Ingredients ? for the purpose of the opinion I am talking about seasonings, flavour blends and other similar products ? these are products manufactured by a number of companies in the UK and throughout the world and are supplied to almost ALL food producers. Snack food flavours, meat coatings, meat seasonings, burger binders, instant soups and so on.
A little bit about myself first really, to set the scene and give examples.
I?m employed in the food industry as a ?savoury flavour technologist? that is to say I create and develop snack food flavourings and seasonings. The company I work for (in Milton Keynes...

Tesco trains
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: As good as original brands
...Santa bought my four year old the lovely mountain train set made by tesco. He desperately wanted a train set and when we were in Toysrus we would look at the brio sets and then look around the other toys. It was not unitl near to Christmas that I actually decided to look at the price. I was horrified to discover how expensive brio train sets were. I looked in several other shops ELC etc but they too were too expensive. I found a cheap set in ASDA but it did not seem to be compatabile with brio or even near to the quality, so I decided not to buy the train set from there either. When we were shopping in Tescos my son pointed out the train sets and took a real interest in a lovely mpuntain train set which had had a wooden train set, a little bridge, wooden animals, trees, tunnels, trains, carriages, sign and mountains all for £24...

Working for Tesco
Advantages: Good pay, great benefits package
Disadvantages: Crap uniform, crap managers
...above are what I consider to be the most important benefits, however, there are many others including discounted Everyday Health Plan, which covers things like dental and optical treatment, physiotherapy, hospital treatment etc, Dental Cover, Private Medical Insurance, Personal Accident Protection, discounts on Tesco Personal Finance products, discounted tax advice, holiday discounts, gym discounts, and exclusive to staff offers such as £5 off clothing voucher.
Personally, I think the Benefits package Tesco offer is brilliant. The 10% discount is obviously very useful, though I do often forget to hand my card to the person on checkouts, but they're usually good enough to remind me! I receive a benefits report every year, which tells me exactly how much my benefits are worth, which is really helpful, and it was a pleasant surprise to find...

Tescos
Advantages: Great Value
Disadvantages: Puts local businesses under stress
...Tescos is King of all supermarkets and I think that they are best for value in the long term or in the big shop as well. As a student I have found that the tesco down the road from me is my new home, as opposed to the Centre up the road that can be so expensive some times in comparison.
Tescos sells your average grocerys as well as dvd's and electricals, clothes, office supplies, tobacco and confectionary, alcohol, cards for special occassions and toys. Everything you need seems to almost be in one store, there is also a tesco value line that provides Tescos own products at a cheaper price.
The staff in Tescos are always friendly where I come from in Cookstown, they always help you find something if your not quite sure where it is and always strike up a pleasant conversation at the help desk, though I understand that some...

Tesco supermarket
Advantages: A wide variety of well priced goods
Disadvantages: Toilets maybe need cleaning a little more often
...Extra;these stores are the much larger Hypermarket style stores. The first Tesco Extra opened in1997,and now they are building around 20 new Tesco Extra stores a year.
The largest Tesco Extra is in Basildon Essex.
In the main these stores are on two floors, the ground floor used for food products and the first floor for clothing, electronics and entertainments.
The majority of Tesco Extra stores have cafes.
Tesco Superstores:
The Tesco Superstores are the large supermarkets, stocking groceries and a smaller range of non food goods.
Most of the stores fitting this description are situated in City suburbs or on the edge of the larger towns.
Tesco Metro :
The Tesco Metro stores are the stores that are in between being a Superstore and a Tesco Express store.
These strores are mainly located in the middle of small towns and cities...

TESCO
Advantages: Friendlly people, easy job
Disadvantages: pay,staff benefits
...and mark you for how you interact with your customer, how you pack their bags - this is really easy to pass seeing as though the tester is stood right next to you, and how much does it cost for being polite to a customer - NOTHING.
The uniform is free and personally I liked it - I liked the blue shirts and wearing my skirt, however the women's pants were very unflattering and made my bottom look bigger than it already is!
I found the staff canteen reasonably priced - I used a cardinal card (where you insert money into a machine and it gave you "credit" to pay for my food so I didn't take money down onto the shop floor.
Also Tesco have poor rewards for their staff, they have a staff discount card of 10% - yes thats right 10%, they get rubbish pay rises and for Xmas they get Tesco vouchers!
For loyal service you MAY get a parker pen...

TESCO - Awesome Giant!
Advantages: Clubcard, Great Value, Large Stores some 24hr, Convenient, Friendly Staff
Disadvantages: Company too Big, Taking over, putting small shops out of business
...>------------------------------<
TESCO STORES PLC
>------------------------------<
>---------------<
Introduction
>---------------<
Tesco is one of the worlds largest companies, with supermarkets ranging the world over and products now far in excess of food and drink. To some, Tesco is a company that is too big for its boots, too powerful, and too manipulative over local areas. To an extent I am inclined to agree with them. Small shops which have been trading for decades, overhauled by the introduction of a large Tesco to the area. However, I am a huge fan of Tesco not just because I have a large 24hr Tesco at the end of my road but also I am in favour of the huge range of products and services that Tesco provide and the jobs that it brings to the local area. Clearly this review has the potential to go on forever, but please...

All aboard the Tesco train
Advantages: Cheap, well made, compatible with other brands
Disadvantages: none i can see
...I have 6 young nephews all are train mad and the all have the ELC train sets. You know the ones I mean wooden tracks and engines that cost a fortune.
Well come Chritmas and birthdays buying for them all is a nightmare so i usually end up getting them additions to their trainsets but find the early learning ones a bit pricy, a single engine is around £5 and a set of 4 wooden people will se you back £4.
So while doing me grocery shopping I decided to stop off at the toy secion in Tesco to see if there was anything suitable for nephew who was turning 3 years old. It was here I discovered that Tesco do a wooden train set which is compatible with other brands. After very close inspection I decided it looked just as good quality as the ELC and for a fraction of the price. On this occasion I bought a zoo train which included an engine, 3...
